اِشْتَرَوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيْلًا فَصَدُّوْا عَنْ سَبِيْلِهٖۗ اِنَّهُمْ سَاۤءَ مَاكَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ( التوبة: ٩ )
ish'taraw
ٱشْتَرَوْا۟
They exchange
അവര്‍ വാങ്ങി (പകരമെടുത്തു)
biāyāti
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
[with] the Verses of Allah
ആയത്തുകള്‍ക്ക്‌, ലക്ഷ്യദൃഷ്‌ടാന്തങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ (പകരം)
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
[with] the Verses of Allah
അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ
thamanan
ثَمَنًا
(for) a little price
വില
qalīlan
قَلِيلًا
(for) a little price
അല്‍പമായ
faṣaddū
فَصَدُّوا۟
and they hinder (people)
അങ്ങനെ (അതിനാല്‍) അവര്‍ തടഞ്ഞു
ʿan sabīlihi
عَن سَبِيلِهِۦٓۚ
from His way
അവന്‍റെ മാര്ഗത്തില്നിന്ന്
innahum
إِنَّهُمْ
Indeed
നിശ്ചയമായും
sāa
سَآءَ
evil
അവര്‍ വളരെ മോശം, ചീത്ത
mā kānū
مَا كَانُوا۟
(is) what they used to
അവര്‍ ആയിരിക്കുന്നത്‌
yaʿmalūna
يَعْمَلُونَ
do
പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കും
Ishtaraw bi Aayaatil laahi samanan qaleelan fasaddoo 'an sabeelih; innahum saaa'a maa kaanoo ya'maloon (at-Tawbah 9:9)
English Sahih:
They have exchanged the signs of Allah for a small price and averted [people] from His way. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing. (At-Tawbah [9] : 9)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അവര്‍ തുച്ഛവിലയ്ക്ക് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ വിറ്റു. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മാര്ഗത്തില്നിന്ന് ജനത്തെ തടയുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവര്‍ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് വളരെ ചീത്ത തന്നെ. (അത്തൗബ [9] : 9)
