وَيَدْرَؤُا عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ اَنْ تَشْهَدَ اَرْبَعَ شَهٰدٰتٍۢ بِاللّٰهِ اِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ ۙ ( النور: ٨ )
But it would prevent
وَيَدْرَؤُا۟
Und es wehrt ab
from her
عَنْهَا
von ihr
the punishment
ٱلْعَذَابَ
die Strafe,
that
أَن
dass
she bears witness
تَشْهَدَ
sie bezeugt
four
أَرْبَعَ
(das) viermalige
testimonies
شَهَٰدَٰتٍۭ
Zeugnis
by Allah
بِٱللَّهِۙ
bei Allah,
that he
إِنَّهُۥ
dass er
(is) surely of
لَمِنَ
(ist) sicherlich von
the liars
ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
den Lügnern.
Wa Yadra'u `Anhā Al-`Adhāba 'An Tash/hada 'Arba`a Shahādātin Billāhi 'Innahu Lamina Al-Kādhibīna. (an-Nūr 24:8)
A. S. F. Bubenheim and N. Elyas:
Und es wehrt von ihr die Strafe ab, daß sie viermal bei Allah bezeugt, er gehöre wahrlich zu den Lügnern, ([24] an-Nur (Das Licht) : 8)
English Sahih:
But it will prevent punishment from her if she gives four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that indeed, he is of the liars. ([24] An-Nur : 8)
