Ash-Shu'ara Verse 181

Give full measure, and cause no loss ˹to others˺.

Give full measure and do not be of those who defraud others,

Fill up the measure, and be not cheaters,

Give full measure: do not sell others short.

Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose.

"Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud).

Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people,

Give full measure and do not cheat;

“Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.”

Observe the full measure, and do not be of those who give short measure.

"Give full measure (in all your dealings) and be not one of those who (by cheating and giving less) cause loss to others.

`Give full measure and be not of those who give short;

Fulfill/complete the measurement/weight, and do not be from the reducers/decreasers (cheaters)

“Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.”

Give full measure, and be not of those who diminish (give less than due)

"Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others).

So keep your duty to Allah and obey me.

Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish;

Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due).

"Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others.

Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats,

"Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others)."

Give full measure, and cause no loss to others.

The Command to give Full Measure

Allah commanded them to give full measure, and forbade them to give short measure.

He said;

أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ



Give full measure, and cause no loss.

meaning, `when you give to people, give them full measure, and do not cause loss to them by giving them short measure, while taking full measure when you are the ones who are taking. Give as you take, and take as you give.'

وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيم

Dispense to the full", he said, "the quantity ascertained by measuring if you happen to give or sell by a standard measure and be not of those who serve their purpose and accomplish it by means of fraud, dishonesty and deception
