As-Saffat Verse 148

who then believed ˹in him˺, so We allowed them enjoyment for a while.

and they believed, so We let them enjoy for a while.

and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while.

They believed, so We let them live out their lives.

And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season.

And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while.

and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while.

And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age.

So they accepted faith – We therefore gave them usage for a while.

and they believed [in him]. So We provided for them for a while.

And they believed in him (this time), and so, (sparing them,) We allowed them to enjoy life for a term allotted to them.

They all believed (in him) so We provided them gains till the end of their lives.

So they believed, so We gave them long life/made them enjoy to a time/period of time .

So they accepted faith - We therefore gave them usage for a while.

And they believed; therefore, We gave them provision for a time.

And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while.

And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more.

And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time.

And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while.

They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time.

and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile.

And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while.

and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while.

And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment for a while.

And they believed, after they saw [with their own eyes] the chastisement which they had been promised. So We gave them comfort, We kept them alive to enjoy their wealth, for a while, until their terms [of life] would be concluded [while they took comfort] therein.

فَأمَنُوا

And they believed;

means, these people to whom Yunus, peace be upon him, had been sent all believed.

فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَى حِينٍ




so We gave them enjoyment for a while.

means, until the time of their appointed end.

This is like the Ayah,

فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ ءَامَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَأ إِيمَانُهَا إِلاَّ قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّأ ءَامَنُواْ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ الخِزْىِ فِى الْحَيَوةَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَى حِينٍ

Was there any town (community) that believed, and its faith (at that moment) saved it -- except the people of Yunus; when they believed, We removed from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the (present) world, and permitted them to enjoy for a while. (10;98
