وَمَنْ يَّعْشُ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهٗ شَيْطٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهٗ قَرِيْنٌ ( الزخرف: ٣٦ )

(the) remembrance
l-raḥmāni
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
(of) the Most Gracious
nuqayyiḍ
نُقَيِّضْ
We appoint
lahu
لَهُۥ
for him
shayṭānan
شَيْطَٰنًا
a devil
fahuwa
فَهُوَ
then he
lahu
لَهُۥ
(is) to him
qarīnun
قَرِينٌ
a companion
Wa mai ya'shu 'an zikrir Rahmaani nuqaiyid lahoo Shaitaanan fahuwa lahoo qareen (az-Zukhruf 43:36)
Sahih International:
And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful – We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion. (Az-Zukhruf [43] : 36)
1 Mufti Taqi Usmani
Whoever makes himself blind against the advice of RaHmān, We assign for him a devil who accompanies him all the time.
