مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ اَنۡ يُّؤۡتِيَهُ اللّٰهُ الۡكِتٰبَ وَالۡحُكۡمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُوۡلَ لِلنَّاسِ كُوۡنُوۡا عِبَادًا لِّىۡ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ وَلٰـكِنۡ كُوۡنُوۡا رَبَّانِيّٖنَ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تُعَلِّمُوۡنَ الۡكِتٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَدۡرُسُوۡنَۙ(آل عمران :79)
Ma kana libasharin an yutiyahu Allahu alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata thumma yaqoola lilnnasi koonoo 'ibadan lee min dooni Allahi walakin koonoo rabbaniyyeena bima kuntum tu'allimoona alkitaba wabima kuntum tadrusoona
Sahih International:
It is not for a human [prophet] that Allah should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than Allah," but [instead, he would say], "Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied."
وَكَذٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الۡاٰيٰتِ وَلِيَقُوۡلُوۡا دَرَسۡتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهٗ لِقَوۡمٍ يَّعۡلَمُوۡنَ(الأنعام :105)
Wakathalika nusarrifu alayati waliyaqooloo darasta walinubayyinahu liqawmin ya'lamoona
Sahih International:
And thus do We diversify the verses so the disbelievers will say, "You have studied," and so We may make the Qur'an clear for a people who know.
اَنۡ تَقُوۡلُـوۡۤا اِنَّمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ الۡـكِتٰبُ عَلٰى طَآٮِٕفَتَيۡنِ مِنۡ قَبۡلِنَا ۖ وَاِنۡ كُنَّا عَنۡ دِرَاسَتِهِمۡ لَغٰفِلِيۡنَۙ(الأنعام :156)
An taqooloo innama onzila alkitabu 'ala taifatayni min qablina wain kunna 'an dirasatihim laghafileena
Sahih International:
[We revealed it] lest you say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, but we were of their study unaware,"
وَمَاۤ اٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنۡ كُتُبٍ يَّدۡرُسُوۡنَهَا وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡهِمۡ قَبۡلَكَ مِنۡ نَّذِيۡرٍؕ(سبإ :44)
Wama ataynahum min kutubin yadrusoonaha wama arsalna ilayhim qablaka min natheerin
Sahih International:
And We had not given them any scriptures which they could study, and We had not sent to them before you, [O Muhammad], any warner.
اَمۡ لَـكُمۡ كِتٰبٌ فِيۡهِ تَدۡرُسُوۡنَۙ(القلم :37)
Am lakum kitabun feehi tadrusoona
Sahih International:
Or do you have a scripture in which you learn
