لَـتَجِدَنَّ اَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِّـلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوا الۡيَهُوۡدَ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اَشۡرَكُوۡا ۚ وَلَـتَجِدَنَّ اَ قۡرَبَهُمۡ مَّوَدَّةً لِّـلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوا الَّذِيۡنَ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا نَصٰرٰى ؕ ذٰ لِكَ بِاَنَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قِسِّيۡسِيۡنَ وَرُهۡبَانًا وَّاَنَّهُمۡ لَا يَسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَ(المائدة :82)
Latajidanna ashadda alnnasi 'adawatan lillatheena amanoo alyahooda waallatheena ashrakoo walatajidanna aqrabahum mawaddatan lillatheena amanoo allatheena qaloo inna nasara thalika bianna minhum qisseeseena waruhbanan waannahum la yastakbiroona
Sahih International:
You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.
وَقَالَ اِنَّمَا اتَّخَذۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ اَوۡثَانًا ۙ مَّوَدَّةَ بَيۡنِكُمۡ فِى الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ۚ ثُمَّ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ يَكۡفُرُ بَعۡضُكُمۡ بِبَعۡضٍ وَّيَلۡعَنُ بَعۡضُكُمۡ بَعۡضًا وَّمَاۡوٰٮكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ نّٰصِرِيۡنَ(العنكبوت :25)
Waqala innama ittakhathtum min dooni Allahi awthanan mawaddata baynikum fee alhayati alddunya thumma yawma alqiyamati yakfuru ba'dukum biba'din wayal'anu ba'dukum ba'dan wamawakumu alnnaru wama lakum min nasireena
Sahih International:
And [Abraham] said, "You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers."
وَمِنۡ اٰيٰتِهٖۤ اَنۡ خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ اَزۡوَاجًا لِّتَسۡكُنُوۡۤا اِلَيۡهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَكُمۡ مَّوَدَّةً وَّرَحۡمَةً ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰ لِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ(الروم :21)
Wamin ayatihi an khalaqa lakum min anfusikum azwajan litaskunoo ilayha waja'ala baynakum mawaddatan warahmatan inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona
Sahih International:
And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
