اِقۡرَاۡ بِاسۡمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَۚ(العلق :1)
ٱقْرَأْ

بِٱسْمِ
in (the) name
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord
ٱلَّذِى
the One Who
خَلَقَ
created -
Iqra biismi rabbika allathee khalaqa
Sahih International:
Recite in the name of your Lord who created -
خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍۚ(العلق :2)
خَلَقَ
He created
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
man
مِنْ
from
عَلَقٍ
a clinging substance
Khalaqa alinsana min 'alaqin
Sahih International:
Created man from a clinging substance.
اِقۡرَاۡ وَرَبُّكَ الۡاَكۡرَمُۙ(العلق :3)
ٱقْرَأْ
Read
وَرَبُّكَ
and your Lord
ٱلْأَكْرَمُ
(is) the Most Generous
Iqra warabbuka alakramu
Sahih International:
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -
الَّذِىۡ عَلَّمَ بِالۡقَلَمِۙ(العلق :4)
ٱلَّذِى
The One Who
عَلَّمَ
taught
بِٱلْقَلَمِ
by the pen
Allathee 'allama bialqalami
Sahih International:
Who taught by the pen -
عَلَّمَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مَا لَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡؕ(العلق :5)
عَلَّمَ
Taught
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
man
مَا
what
لَمْ
not
يَعْلَمْ
he knew
'allama alinsana ma lam ya'lam
Sahih International:
Taught man that which he knew not.
