وَاِنْ يَّكَادُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَيُزْلِقُوْنَكَ بِاَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ اِنَّهٗ لَمَجْنُوْنٌ ۘ ( القلم: ٥١ )
wa-in
وَإِن
And indeed
yakādu
يَكَادُ
would almost
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve
layuz'liqūnaka
لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ
surely make you slip
bi-abṣārihim
بِأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ
with their eyes
lammā
لَمَّا
when
samiʿū
سَمِعُوا۟
they hear
l-dhik'ra
ٱلذِّكْرَ
the Message
wayaqūlūna
وَيَقُولُونَ
and they say
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
"Indeed he
lamajnūnun
لَمَجْنُونٌ
(is) surely mad"
And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes [i.e., looks] when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad."
وَمَا هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَ ࣖ ( القلم: ٥٢ )
wamā
وَمَا
And not
huwa
هُوَ
it (is)
illā
إِلَّا
but
dhik'run
ذِكْرٌ
a Reminder
lil'ʿālamīna
لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ
to the worlds
But it is not except a reminder to the worlds.
