يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مَا لَـكُمۡ اِذَا قِيۡلَ لَـكُمُ انْفِرُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ اثَّاقَلۡـتُمۡ اِلَى الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ اَرَضِيۡتُمۡ بِالۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا مِنَ الۡاٰخِرَةِ ۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا فِى الۡاٰخِرَةِ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلٌ(التوبة :38)
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ma lakum itha qeela lakumu infiroo fee sabeeli Allahi iththaqaltum ila alardi aradeetum bialhayati alddunya mina alakhirati fama mata'u alhayati alddunya fee alakhirati illa qaleelun
Sahih International:
O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah, you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little.
اَللّٰهُ يَبۡسُطُ الرِّزۡقَ لِمَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَقۡدِرُؕ وَفَرِحُوۡا بِالۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ؕ وَمَا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا فِى الۡاٰخِرَةِ اِلَّا مَتَاعٌ(الرعد :26)
Allahu yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru wafarihoo bialhayati alddunya wama alhayatu alddunya fee alakhirati illa mata'un
Sahih International:
Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. And they rejoice in the worldly life, while the worldly life is not, compared to the Hereafter, except [brief] enjoyment.
وَمَاۤ اُوۡتِيۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ شَىۡءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا وَزِيۡنَـتُهَا ۚ وَمَا عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ خَيۡرٌ وَّاَبۡقٰى ؕ اَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ(القصص :60)
Wama ooteetum min shayin famata'u alhayati alddunya wazeenatuha wama 'inda Allahi khayrun waabqa afala ta'qiloona
Sahih International:
And whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allah is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?
اَفَمَنۡ وَّعَدۡنٰهُ وَعۡدًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ لَاقِيۡهِ كَمَنۡ مَّتَّعۡنٰهُ مَتَاعَ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ مِنَ الۡمُحۡضَرِيۡنَ(القصص :61)
Afaman wa'adnahu wa'dan hasanan fahuwa laqeehi kaman matta'nahu mata'a alhayati alddunya thumma huwa yawma alqiyamati mina almuhdareena
Sahih International:
Then is he whom We have promised a good promise which he will obtain like he for whom We provided enjoyment of worldly life [but] then he is, on the Day of Resurrection, among those presented [for punishment in Hell]?
