وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ لَا تُفۡسِدُوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِۙ قَالُوۡاۤ اِنَّمَا نَحۡنُ مُصۡلِحُوۡنَ(البقرة :11)
وَإِذَا
And when
قِيلَ
it is said
لَهُمْ
to them
لَا
"(Do) not
تُفْسِدُوا۟
spread corruption
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth"
قَالُوٓا۟
they say
إِنَّمَا
"Only
نَحْنُ
we
مُصْلِحُونَ
(are) reformers"
Waitha qeela lahum la tufsidoo fee alardi qaloo innama nahnu muslihoona
Sahih International:
And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers."
اَلَا ۤ اِنَّهُمۡ هُمُ الۡمُفۡسِدُوۡنَ وَلٰـكِنۡ لَّا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ(البقرة :12)
أَلَآ
Beware
إِنَّهُمْ
indeed they
هُمُ
themselves
ٱلْمُفْسِدُونَ
(are) the ones who spread corruption
وَلَٰكِن
[and] but
لَّا
not
يَشْعُرُونَ
they realize (it)
Ala innahum humu almufsidoona walakin la yash'uroona
Sahih International:
Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.
