يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَقُوۡلُوۡا رَاعِنَا وَ قُوۡلُوا انۡظُرۡنَا وَاسۡمَعُوۡا ؕ وَلِلۡڪٰفِرِيۡنَ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ(البقرة :104)
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la taqooloo ra'ina waqooloo onthurna waisma'oo walilkafireena 'athabun aleemun
Sahih International:
O you who have believed, say not [to Allah 's Messenger], "Ra'ina" but say, "Unthurna" and listen. And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.
مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ هَادُوۡا يُحَرِّفُوۡنَ الۡـكَلِمَ عَنۡ مَّوَاضِعِهٖ وَ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ سَمِعۡنَا وَعَصَيۡنَا وَاسۡمَعۡ غَيۡرَ مُسۡمَعٍ وَّرَاعِنَا لَـيًّۢا بِاَ لۡسِنَتِهِمۡ وَطَعۡنًا فِىۡ الدِّيۡنِ ؕ وَلَوۡ اَنَّهُمۡ قَالُوۡا سَمِعۡنَا وَاَطَعۡنَا وَاسۡمَعۡ وَانْظُرۡنَا لَـكَانَ خَيۡرًا لَّهُمۡ وَاَقۡوَمَ ۙ وَ لٰـكِنۡ لَّعَنَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا(النساء :46)
Mina allatheena hadoo yuharrifoona alkalima 'an mawadi'ihi wayaqooloona sami'na wa'asayna waisma' ghayra musma'in wara'ina layyan bialsinatihim wata'nan fee alddeeni walaw annahum qaloo sami'na waata'na waisma' waonthurna lakana khayran lahum waaqwama walakin la'anahumu Allahu bikufrihim fala yuminoona illa qaleelan
Sahih International:
Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] usages and say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard" and "Ra'ina," twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said [instead], "We hear and obey" and "Wait for us [to understand]," it would have been better for them and more suitable. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.
وَاِذَا رَاَوۡكَ اِنۡ يَّتَّخِذُوۡنَكَ اِلَّا هُزُوًا ؕ اَهٰذَا الَّذِىۡ بَعَثَ اللّٰهُ رَسُوۡلًا(الفرقان :41)
Waitha raawka in yattakhithoonaka illa huzuwan ahatha allathee ba'atha Allahu rasoolan
Sahih International:
And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?
اِنۡ كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنۡ اٰلِهَـتِنَا لَوۡ لَاۤ اَنۡ صَبَـرۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا ؕ وَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ حِيۡنَ يَرَوۡنَ الۡعَذَابَ مَنۡ اَضَلُّ سَبِيۡلًا(الفرقان :42)
In kada layudilluna 'an alihatina lawla an sabarna 'alayha wasawfa ya'lamoona heena yarawna al'athaba man adallu sabeelan
Sahih International:
He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.
