وَاِذۡ اَخَذۡنَا مِيۡثَاقَ بَنِىۡٓ اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ لَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ اِلَّا اللّٰهَ وَبِالۡوَالِدَيۡنِ اِحۡسَانًا وَّذِى الۡقُرۡبٰى وَالۡيَتٰمٰى وَالۡمَسٰکِيۡنِ وَقُوۡلُوۡا لِلنَّاسِ حُسۡنًا وَّاَقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّکٰوةَ ؕ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا مِّنۡکُمۡ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَ(البقرة :83)
Waith akhathna meethaqa banee israeela la ta'budoona illa Allaha wabialwalidayni ihsanan wathee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeni waqooloo lilnnasi husnan waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata thumma tawallaytum illa qaleelan minkum waantum mu'ridoona
Sahih International:
And [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], "Do not worship except Allah ; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah." Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing.
اَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ اَصۡلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَّفَرۡعُهَا فِى السَّمَآءِۙ(ابراهيم :24)
Alam tara kayfa daraba Allahu mathalan kalimatan tayyibatan kashajaratin tayyibatin asluha thabitun wafar'uha fee alssamai
Sahih International:
Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky?
وَهُدُوۡۤا اِلَى الطَّيِّبِ مِنَ الۡقَوۡلِ ۖۚ وَهُدُوۡۤا اِلٰى صِرَاطِ الۡحَمِيۡدِ(الحج :24)
Wahudoo ila alttayyibi mina alqawli wahudoo ila sirati alhameedi
Sahih International:
And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.
مَنۡ كَانَ يُرِيۡدُ الۡعِزَّةَ فَلِلّٰهِ الۡعِزَّةُ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ اِلَيۡهِ يَصۡعَدُ الۡـكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالۡعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرۡفَعُهٗ ؕ وَ الَّذِيۡنَ يَمۡكُرُوۡنَ السَّيِّاٰتِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ شَدِيۡدٌ ؕ وَمَكۡرُ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُوَ يَبُوۡرُ(فاطر :10)
Man kana yureedu al'izzata falillahi al'izzatu jamee'an ilayhi yas'adu alkalimu alttayyibu waal'amalu alssalihu yarfa'uhu waallatheena yamkuroona alssayyiati lahum 'athabun shadeedun wamakru olaika huwa yabooru
Sahih International:
Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.
