وَسْــــَٔـلْهُمْ عَنِ الۡـقَرۡيَةِ الَّتِىۡ كَانَتۡ حَاضِرَةَ الۡبَحۡرِۘ اِذۡ يَعۡدُوۡنَ فِى السَّبۡتِ اِذۡ تَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ حِيۡتَانُهُمۡ يَوۡمَ سَبۡتِهِمۡ شُرَّعًا وَّيَوۡمَ لَا يَسۡبِتُوۡنَ ۙ لَا تَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ ۛۚ كَذٰلِكَ ۛۚ نَبۡلُوۡهُمۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَفۡسُقُوۡنَ(الأعراف :163)
Waisalhum 'ani alqaryati allatee kanat hadirata albahri ith ya'doona fee alssabti ith tateehim heetanuhum yawma sabtihim shurra'an wayawma la yasbitoona la tateehim kathalika nabloohum bima kanoo yafsuqoona
Sahih International:
And ask them about the town that was by the sea - when they transgressed in [the matter of] the sabbath - when their fish came to them openly on their sabbath day, and the day they had no sabbath they did not come to them. Thus did We give them trial because they were defiantly disobedient.
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَا مَجۡمَعَ بَيۡنِهِمَا نَسِيَا حُوۡتَهُمَا فَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيۡلَهٗ فِى الۡبَحۡرِ سَرَبًا(الكهف :61)
Falamma balagha majma'a baynihima nasiya hootahuma faittakhatha sabeelahu fee albahri saraban
Sahih International:
But when they reached the junction between them, they forgot their fish, and it took its course into the sea, slipping away.
قَالَ اَرَءَيۡتَ اِذۡ اَوَيۡنَاۤ اِلَى الصَّخۡرَةِ فَاِنِّىۡ نَسِيۡتُ الۡحُوۡتَ وَ مَاۤ اَنۡسٰٮنِيۡهُ اِلَّا الشَّيۡطٰنُ اَنۡ اَذۡكُرَهٗ ۚ وَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيۡلَهٗ فِىۡ الۡبَحۡرِ ۖعَجَبًا(الكهف :63)
Qala araayta ith awayna ila alssakhrati fainnee naseetu alhoota wama ansaneehu illa alshshaytanu an athkurahu waittakhatha sabeelahu fee albahri 'ajaban
Sahih International:
He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly".
فَالۡتَقَمَهُ الۡحُوۡتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيۡمٌ(الصافات :142)
Failtaqamahu alhootu wahuwa muleemun
Sahih International:
Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.
فَاصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُنۡ كَصَاحِبِ الۡحُوۡتِۘ اِذۡ نَادٰى وَهُوَ مَكۡظُوۡمٌؕ(القلم :48)
Faisbir lihukmi rabbika wala takun kasahibi alhooti ith nada wahuwa makthoomun
Sahih International:
Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed.
