اَوۡ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ فِيۡهِ ظُلُمٰتٌ وَّرَعۡدٌ وَّبَرۡقٌ ۚ يَجۡعَلُوۡنَ اَصَابِعَهُمۡ فِىۡۤ اٰذَانِهِمۡ مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الۡمَوۡتِؕ وَاللّٰهُ مُحِيۡطٌۢ بِالۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ(البقرة :19)
Aw kasayyibin mina alssamai feehi thulumatun wara'dun wabarqun yaj'aloona asabi'ahum fee athanihim mina alssawa'iqi hathara almawti waAllahu muheetun bialkafireena
Sahih International:
Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers.
هٰۤاَنۡتُمۡ اُولَاۤءِ تُحِبُّوۡنَهُمۡ وَلَا يُحِبُّوۡنَكُمۡ وَتُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡكِتٰبِ كُلِّهٖ ۚ وَاِذَا لَقُوۡكُمۡ قَالُوۡۤا اٰمَنَّا ۖۚ وَاِذَا خَلَوۡا عَضُّوۡا عَلَيۡكُمُ الۡاَنَامِلَ مِنَ الۡغَيۡظِؕ قُلۡ مُوۡتُوۡا بِغَيۡظِكُمۡؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيۡمٌ ۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوۡرِ(آل عمران :119)
Haantum olai tuhibboonahum wala yuhibboonakum watuminoona bialkitabi kullihi waitha laqookum qaloo amanna waitha khalaw 'addoo 'alaykumu alanamila mina alghaythi qul mootoo bighaythikum inna Allaha 'aleemun bithati alssudoori
Sahih International:
Here you are loving them but they are not loving you, while you believe in the Scripture - all of it. And when they meet you, they say, "We believe." But when they are alone, they bite their fingertips at you in rage. Say, "Die in your rage. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts."
اِذۡ يُوۡحِىۡ رَبُّكَ اِلَى الۡمَلٰۤٮِٕكَةِ اَنِّىۡ مَعَكُمۡ فَثَبِّتُوا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا ؕ سَاُلۡقِىۡ فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعۡبَ فَاضۡرِبُوۡا فَوۡقَ الۡاَعۡنَاقِ وَاضۡرِبُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ كُلَّ بَنَانٍؕ(الأنفال :12)
Ith yoohee rabbuka ila almalaikati annee ma'akum fathabbitoo allatheena amanoo saolqee fee quloobi allatheena kafaroo alrru'ba faidriboo fawqa ala'naqi waidriboo minhum kulla bananin
Sahih International:
[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."
وَاِنِّىۡ كُلَّمَا دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ لِتَغۡفِرَ لَهُمۡ جَعَلُوۡۤا اَصَابِعَهُمۡ فِىۡۤ اٰذَانِهِمۡ وَاسۡتَغۡشَوۡا ثِيَابَهُمۡ وَاَصَرُّوۡا وَاسۡتَكۡبَرُوا اسۡتِكۡبَارًا ۚ(نوح :7)
Wainnee kullama da'awtuhum litaghfira lahum ja'aloo asabi'ahum fee athanihim waistaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo waistakbaroo istikbaran
Sahih International:
And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.
بَلٰى قٰدِرِيۡنَ عَلٰٓى اَنۡ نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهٗ(القيامة :4)
Bala qadireena 'ala an nusawwiya bananahu
Sahih International:
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips.
