Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 27

وَاتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَاَ ابۡنَىۡ اٰدَمَ بِالۡحَـقِّ‌ۘ اِذۡ قَرَّبَا قُرۡبَانًا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنۡ اَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمۡ يُتَقَبَّلۡ مِنَ الۡاٰخَرِؕ قَالَ لَاَقۡتُلَـنَّكَ‌ؕ قَالَ اِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللّٰهُ مِنَ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ(المائدة :27)

وَٱتْلُ
And recite
عَلَيْهِمْ
to them
نَبَأَ
the story
ٱبْنَىْ
(of) two sons
ءَادَمَ
(of) Adam
بِٱلْحَقِّ
in truth
إِذْ
when
قَرَّبَا
both offered
قُرْبَانًا
a sacrifice
فَتُقُبِّلَ
and it was accepted
مِنْ
from
أَحَدِهِمَا
one of them
وَلَمْ
and not
يُتَقَبَّلْ
was accepted
مِنَ
from
ٱلْءَاخَرِ
the other
قَالَ
Said (the latter)
لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَۖ
"Surely I will kill you"
قَالَ
Said (the former)
إِنَّمَا
"Only
يَتَقَبَّلُ
accepts
ٱللَّهُ
(does) Allah
مِنَ
from
ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
the God fearing

Waotlu 'alayhim nabaa ibnay adama bialhaqqi ith qarraba qurbanan fatuqubbila min ahadihima walam yutaqabbal mina alakhari qala laaqtulannaka qala innama yataqabbalu Allahu mina almuttaqeena

Sahih International:

And recite to them the story of Adam's two sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allah ], and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. Said [the latter], "I will surely kill you." Said [the former], "Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him].

Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 28

لَٮِٕنۡۢ بَسَطْتَّ اِلَىَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقۡتُلَنِىۡ مَاۤ اَنَا بِبَاسِطٍ يَّدِىَ اِلَيۡكَ لِاَقۡتُلَكَ‌ ۚ اِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ اللّٰهَ رَبَّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‏(المائدة :28)

لَئِنۢ
If
بَسَطتَ
you stretch
إِلَىَّ
towards me
يَدَكَ
your hand
لِتَقْتُلَنِى
to kill me
مَآ
not
أَنَا۠
will I
بِبَاسِطٍ
stretch
يَدِىَ
my hand
إِلَيْكَ
towards you
لِأَقْتُلَكَۖ
to kill you
إِنِّىٓ
indeed I
أَخَافُ
fear
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
رَبَّ
(the) Lord
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
(of) the worlds"

Lain basatta ilayya yadaka litaqtulanee ma ana bibasitin yadiya ilayka liaqtulaka innee akhafu Allaha rabba al'alameena

Sahih International:

If you should raise your hand against me to kill me - I shall not raise my hand against you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds.

Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 29

اِنِّىۡۤ اُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ تَبُوۡٓءَ بِاِثۡمِىۡ وَ اِثۡمِكَ فَتَكُوۡنَ مِنۡ اَصۡحٰبِ النَّارِ‌ۚ وَذٰ لِكَ جَزٰٓؤُا الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ‌(المائدة :29)

إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
أُرِيدُ
wish
أَن
that
تَبُوٓأَ
you be laden
بِإِثْمِى
with my sin
وَإِثْمِكَ
and your sin
فَتَكُونَ
so you will be
مِنْ
among
أَصْحَٰبِ
(the) companions
ٱلنَّارِۚ
(of) the Fire
وَذَٰلِكَ
and that
جَزَٰٓؤُا۟
(is the) recompense
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
(of) the wrong-doers"

Innee oreedu an tabooa biithmee waithmika fatakoona min ashabi alnnari wathalika jazao alththalimeena

Sahih International:

Indeed I want you to obtain [thereby] my sin and your sin so you will be among the companions of the Fire. And that is the recompense of wrongdoers."

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 30

فَطَوَّعَتۡ لَهٗ نَفۡسُهٗ قَـتۡلَ اَخِيۡهِ فَقَتَلَهٗ فَاَصۡبَحَ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ(المائدة :30)

فَطَوَّعَتْ
Then prompted
لَهُۥ
to him
نَفْسُهُۥ
his soul
قَتْلَ
(to) kill
أَخِيهِ
his brother
فَقَتَلَهُۥ
so he killed him
فَأَصْبَحَ
and became
مِنَ
of
ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
the losers

Fatawwa'at lahu nafsuhu qatla akheehi faqatalahu faasbaha mina alkhasireena

Sahih International:

And his soul permitted to him the murder of his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 31

فَبَـعَثَ اللّٰهُ غُرَابًا يَّبۡحَثُ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ لِيُرِيَهٗ كَيۡفَ يُوَارِىۡ سَوۡءَةَ اَخِيۡهِ‌ؕ قَالَ يَاوَيۡلَتٰٓى اَعَجَزۡتُ اَنۡ اَكُوۡنَ مِثۡلَ هٰذَا الۡغُرَابِ فَاُوَارِىَ سَوۡءَةَ اَخِىۡ‌ۚ فَاَصۡبَحَ مِنَ النّٰدِمِيۡنَ(المائدة :31)

فَبَعَثَ
Then (was) sent
ٱللَّهُ
(by) Allah
غُرَابًا
a crow
يَبْحَثُ
it (was) scratching
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
لِيُرِيَهُۥ
to show him
كَيْفَ
how
يُوَٰرِى
to hide
سَوْءَةَ
(the) dead body
أَخِيهِۚ
(of) his brother
قَالَ
He said
يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ
"Woe to me!
أَعَجَزْتُ
Am I unable
أَنْ
that
أَكُونَ
I can be
مِثْلَ
like
هَٰذَا
this
ٱلْغُرَابِ
[the] crow
فَأُوَٰرِىَ
and hide
سَوْءَةَ
(the) dead body
أَخِىۖ
(of) my brother?"
فَأَصْبَحَ
Then he became
مِنَ
of
ٱلنَّٰدِمِينَ
the regretful

Faba'atha Allahu ghuraban yabhathu fee alardi liyuriyahu kayfa yuwaree sawata akheehi qala ya waylata a'ajaztu an akoona mithla hatha alghurabi faowariya sawata akhee faasbaha mina alnnadimeena

Sahih International:

Then Allah sent a crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother. He said, "O woe to me! Have I failed to be like this crow and hide the body of my brother?" And he became of the regretful.
