اَوَاَمِنَ اَهۡلُ الۡقُرٰٓى اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَهُمۡ بَاۡسُنَا ضُحًى وَّهُمۡ يَلۡعَبُوۡنَ(الأعراف :98)
Awa amina ahlu alqura an yatiyahum basuna duhan wahum yal'aboona
Sahih International:
Or did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they were at play?
وَاَنَّكَ لَا تَظۡمَؤُا فِيۡهَا وَلَا تَضۡحٰى(طه :119)
Waannaka la tathmao feeha wala tadha
Sahih International:
And indeed, you will not be thirsty therein or be hot from the sun."
قَالَ مَوۡعِدُكُمۡ يَوۡمُ الزِّيۡنَةِ وَاَنۡ يُّحۡشَرَ النَّاسُ ضُحًى(طه :59)
Qala maw'idukum yawmu alzzeenati waan yuhshara alnnasu duhan
Sahih International:
[Moses] said, "Your appointment is on the day of the festival when the people assemble at mid-morning."
وَ اَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَاَخۡرَجَ ضُحٰٮهَا(النازعات :29)
Waaghtasha laylaha waakhraja duhaha
Sahih International:
And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.
كَاَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَهَا لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوۡۤا اِلَّا عَشِيَّةً اَوۡ ضُحٰٮهَا(النازعات :46)
Kaannahum yawma yarawnaha lam yalbathoo illa 'ashiyyatan aw duhaha
Sahih International:
It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
وَالشَّمۡسِ وَضُحٰٮهَا(الشمس :1)
Waalshshamsi waduhaha
Sahih International:
By the sun and its brightness
وَالضُّحٰىۙ(الضحى :1)
Waaldduha
Sahih International:
By the morning brightness
