وَقَالُوۡا لَنۡ يَّدۡخُلَ الۡجَـنَّةَ اِلَّا مَنۡ كَانَ هُوۡدًا اَوۡ نَصٰرٰىؕ تِلۡكَ اَمَانِيُّهُمۡؕ قُلۡ هَاتُوۡا بُرۡهَانَکُمۡ اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ(البقرة :111)
Waqaloo lan yadkhula aljannata illa man kana hoodan aw nasara tilka amaniyyuhum qul hatoo burhanakum in kuntum sadiqeena
Sahih International:
And they say, "None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." That is [merely] their wishful thinking, Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."
وَّلَاُضِلَّـنَّهُمۡ وَلَاُمَنِّيَنَّهُمۡ وَلَاٰمُرَنَّهُمۡ فَلَيُبَـتِّكُنَّ اٰذَانَ الۡاَنۡعَامِ وَلَاٰمُرَنَّهُمۡ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلۡقَ اللّٰهِؕ وَمَنۡ يَّتَّخِذِ الشَّيۡطٰنَ وَلِيًّا مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ فَقَدۡ خَسِرَ خُسۡرَانًا مُّبِيۡنًا(النساء :119)
Walaodillannahum walaomanniyannahum walaamurannahum falayubattikunna athana alan'ami walaamurannahum falayughayyirunna khalqa Allahi waman yattakhithi alshshaytana waliyyan min dooni Allahi faqad khasira khusranan mubeenan
Sahih International:
And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah ." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss.
يَعِدُهُمۡ وَيُمَنِّيۡهِمۡ ؕ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيۡـطٰنُ اِلَّا غُرُوۡرًا(النساء :120)
Ya'iduhum wayumanneehim wama ya'iduhumu alshshaytanu illa ghurooran
Sahih International:
Satan promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion.
ذَرۡهُمۡ يَاۡكُلُوۡا وَيَتَمَتَّعُوۡا وَيُلۡهِهِمُ الۡاَمَلُ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(الحجر :3)
Tharhum yakuloo wayatamatta'oo wayulhihimu alamalu fasawfa ya'lamoona
Sahih International:
Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ ارۡتَدُّوۡا عَلٰٓى اَدۡبَارِهِمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الۡهُدَىۙ الشَّيۡطٰنُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمۡ ؕ وَاَمۡلٰى لَهُمۡ(محمد :25)
Inna allatheena irtaddoo 'ala adbarihim min ba'di ma tabayyana lahumu alhuda alshshaytanu sawwala lahum waamla lahum
Sahih International:
Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.
يُنَادُوۡنَهُمۡ اَلَمۡ نَكُنۡ مَّعَكُمۡؕ قَالُوۡا بَلٰى وَلٰـكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنۡتُمۡ اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ وَ تَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَارۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ الۡاَمَانِىُّ حَتّٰى جَآءَ اَمۡرُ اللّٰهِ وَ غَرَّكُمۡ بِاللّٰهِ الۡغَرُوۡرُ(الحديد :14)
Yunadoonahum alam nakun ma'akum qaloo bala walakinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbastum wairtabtum wagharratkumu alamaniyyu hatta jaa amru Allahi wagharrakum biAllahi algharooru
Sahih International:
The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah . And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah .
