Surah [28] Al-Qasas : 15

وَدَخَلَ الۡمَدِيۡنَةَ عَلٰى حِيۡنِ غَفۡلَةٍ مِّنۡ اَهۡلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيۡهَا رَجُلَيۡنِ يَقۡتَتِلٰنِ هٰذَا مِنۡ شِيۡعَتِهٖ وَهٰذَا مِنۡ عَدُوِّهٖ‌ۚ فَاسۡتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِىۡ مِنۡ شِيۡعَتِهٖ عَلَى الَّذِىۡ مِنۡ عَدُوِّهٖۙ فَوَكَزَهٗ مُوۡسٰى فَقَضٰى عَلَيۡهِ‌ ۖ قَالَ هٰذَا مِنۡ عَمَلِ الشَّيۡطٰنِ‌ ؕ اِنَّهٗ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلٌّ مُّبِيۡنٌ‏(القصص :15)

وَدَخَلَ
And he entered
ٱلْمَدِينَةَ
the city
عَلَىٰ
at
حِينِ
a time
غَفْلَةٍ
(of) inattention
مِّنْ
of
أَهْلِهَا
its people
فَوَجَدَ
and found
فِيهَا
therein
رَجُلَيْنِ
two men
يَقْتَتِلَانِ
fighting each other
هَٰذَا
this
مِن
of
شِيعَتِهِۦ
his party
وَهَٰذَا
and this
مِنْ
of
عَدُوِّهِۦۖ
his enemy
فَٱسْتَغَٰثَهُ
And called him for help
ٱلَّذِى
the one who
مِن
(was) from
شِيعَتِهِۦ
his party
عَلَى
against
ٱلَّذِى
the one who
مِنْ
(was) from
عَدُوِّهِۦ
his enemy
فَوَكَزَهُۥ
so Musa struck him with his fist
مُوسَىٰ
so Musa struck him with his fist
فَقَضَىٰ
and killed him
عَلَيْهِۖ
and killed him
قَالَ
He said
هَٰذَا
"This (is)
مِنْ
of
عَمَلِ
(the) deed
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِۖ
(of) Shaitaan
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, he
عَدُوٌّ
(is) an enemy
مُّضِلٌّ
one who misleads
مُّبِينٌ
clearly"

Wadakhala almadeenata 'ala heeni ghaflatin min ahliha fawajada feeha rajulayni yaqtatilani hatha min shee'atihi wahatha min 'aduwwihi faistaghathahu allathee min shee'atihi 'ala allathee min 'aduwwihi fawakazahu moosa faqada 'alayhi qala hatha min 'amali alshshaytani innahu 'aduwwun mudillun mubeenun

Sahih International:

And he entered the city at a time of inattention by its people and found therein two men fighting; one from his faction and one from among his enemy. And the one from his faction called for help to him against the one from his enemy, so Moses struck him and [unintentionally] killed him. [Moses] said, "This is from the work of Satan. Indeed, he is a manifest, misleading enemy."

Surah [28] Al-Qasas : 16

قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّىۡ ظَلَمۡتُ نَفۡسِىۡ فَاغۡفِرۡ لِىۡ فَغَفَرَ لَهٗ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏(القصص :16)

قَالَ
He said
رَبِّ
"My Lord!
إِنِّى
Indeed I
ظَلَمْتُ
[I] have wronged
نَفْسِى
my soul
فَٱغْفِرْ
so forgive
لِى
[for] me"
فَغَفَرَ
Then He forgave
لَهُۥٓۚ
[for] him
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed He
هُوَ
He (is)
ٱلْغَفُورُ
the Oft-Forgiving
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Most Merciful

Qala rabbi innee thalamtu nafsee faighfir lee faghafara lahu innahu huwa alghafooru alrraheemu

Sahih International:

He said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, so forgive me," and He forgave him. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

Surah [28] Al-Qasas : 17

قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَاۤ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَىَّ فَلَنۡ اَكُوۡنَ ظَهِيۡرًا لِّلۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ‏(القصص :17)

قَالَ
He said
رَبِّ
"My Lord!
بِمَآ
Because
أَنْعَمْتَ
You have favored
عَلَىَّ
[on] me
فَلَنْ
so not
أَكُونَ
I will be
ظَهِيرًا
a supporter
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
(of) the criminals"

Qala rabbi bima an'amta 'alayya falan akoona thaheeran lilmujrimeena

Sahih International:

He said, "My Lord, for the favor You bestowed upon me, I will never be an assistant to the criminals."

Surah [28] Al-Qasas : 18

فَاَصۡبَحَ فِى الۡمَدِيۡنَةِ خَآٮِٕفًا يَّتَرَقَّبُ فَاِذَا الَّذِى اسۡتَـنۡصَرَهٗ بِالۡاَمۡسِ يَسۡتَصۡرِخُهٗ‌ ؕ قَالَ لَهٗ مُوۡسٰٓى اِنَّكَ لَـغَوِىٌّ مُّبِيۡنٌ(القصص :18)

فَأَصْبَحَ
In the morning he was
فِى
in
ٱلْمَدِينَةِ
the city
خَآئِفًا
fearful
يَتَرَقَّبُ
(and) was vigilant
فَإِذَا
when behold!
ٱلَّذِى
The one who
ٱسْتَنصَرَهُۥ
sought his help
بِٱلْأَمْسِ
the previous day
يَسْتَصْرِخُهُۥۚ
cried out to him for help
قَالَ
Said
لَهُۥ
to him
مُوسَىٰٓ
Musa
إِنَّكَ
"Indeed you
لَغَوِىٌّ
(are) surely a deviator
مُّبِينٌ
clear"

Faasbaha fee almadeenati khaifan yataraqqabu faitha allathee istansarahu bialamsi yastasrikhuhu qala lahu moosa innaka laghawiyyun mubeenun

Sahih International:

And he became inside the city fearful and anticipating [exposure], when suddenly the one who sought his help the previous day cried out to him [once again]. Moses said to him, "Indeed, you are an evident, [persistent] deviator."

Surah [28] Al-Qasas : 19

فَلَمَّاۤ اَنۡ اَرَادَ اَنۡ يَّبۡطِشَ بِالَّذِىۡ هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَّهُمَا ۙ قَالَ يٰمُوۡسٰٓى اَ تُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ تَقۡتُلَنِىۡ كَمَا قَتَلۡتَ نَفۡسًۢا بِالۡاَمۡسِ ‌ۖ اِنۡ تُرِيۡدُ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ تَكُوۡنَ جَبَّارًا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا تُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ تَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُصۡلِحِيۡنَ‏(القصص :19)

فَلَمَّآ
Then when
أَنْ
[that]
أَرَادَ
he wanted
أَن
to
يَبْطِشَ
strike
بِٱلَّذِى
the one who
هُوَ
[he] (was)
عَدُوٌّ
an enemy
لَّهُمَا
to both of them
قَالَ
he said
يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ
"O Musa!
أَتُرِيدُ
Do you intend
أَن
to
تَقْتُلَنِى
kill me
كَمَا
as
قَتَلْتَ
you killed
نَفْسًۢا
a person
بِٱلْأَمْسِۖ
yesterday?
إِن
Not
تُرِيدُ
you want
إِلَّآ
but
أَن
that
تَكُونَ
you become
جَبَّارًا
a tyrant
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
وَمَا
and not
تُرِيدُ
you want
أَن
that
تَكُونَ
you be
مِنَ
of
ٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ
the reformers"

Falamma an arada an yabtisha biallathee huwa 'aduwwun lahuma qala ya moosa atureedu an taqtulanee kama qatalta nafsan bialamsi in tureedu illa an takoona jabbaran fee alardi wama tureedu an takoona mina almusliheena

Sahih International:

And when he wanted to strike the one who was an enemy to both of them, he said, "O Moses, do you intend to kill me as you killed someone yesterday? You only want to be a tyrant in the land and do not want to be of the amenders."

Surah [28] Al-Qasas : 20

وَجَآءَ رَجُلٌ مِّنۡ اَقۡصَا الۡمَدِيۡنَةِ يَسۡعٰى قَالَ يٰمُوۡسٰٓى اِنَّ الۡمَلَاَ يَاۡتَمِرُوۡنَ بِكَ لِيَـقۡتُلُوۡكَ فَاخۡرُجۡ اِنِّىۡ لَـكَ مِنَ النّٰصِحِيۡنَ(القصص :20)

وَجَآءَ
And came
رَجُلٌ
a man
مِّنْ
from
أَقْصَا
(the) farthest end
ٱلْمَدِينَةِ
(of) the city
يَسْعَىٰ
running
قَالَ
He said
يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ
"O Musa!
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلْمَلَأَ
the chiefs
يَأْتَمِرُونَ
are taking counsel
بِكَ
about you
لِيَقْتُلُوكَ
to kill you
فَٱخْرُجْ
so leave;
إِنِّى
indeed I am
لَكَ
to you
مِنَ
of
ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ
the sincere advisors"

Wajaa rajulun min aqsa almadeenati yas'a qala ya moosa inna almalaa yatamiroona bika liyaqtulooka faokhruj innee laka mina alnnasiheena

Sahih International:

And a man came from the farthest end of the city, running. He said, "O Moses, indeed the eminent ones are conferring over you [intending] to kill you, so leave [the city]; indeed, I am to you of the sincere advisors."

Surah [28] Al-Qasas : 21

فَخَرَجَ مِنۡهَا خَآٮِٕفًا يَّتَرَقَّبُ‌ قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِىۡ مِنَ الۡقَوۡمِ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ(القصص :21)

فَخَرَجَ
So he left
مِنْهَا
from it
خَآئِفًا
fearing
يَتَرَقَّبُۖ
(and) vigilant
قَالَ
He said
رَبِّ
"My Lord!
نَجِّنِى
Save me
مِنَ
from
ٱلْقَوْمِ
the people -
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoers"

Fakharaja minha khaifan yataraqqabu qala rabbi najjinee mina alqawmi alththalimeena

Sahih International:

So he left it, fearful and anticipating [apprehension]. He said, "My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people."
