مَا كَانَ لِاَهۡلِ الۡمَدِيۡنَةِ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَعۡرَابِ اَنۡ يَّتَخَلَّفُوۡا عَنۡ رَّسُوۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَ لَا يَرۡغَبُوۡا بِاَنۡفُسِهِمۡ عَنۡ نَّـفۡسِهٖ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ بِاَنَّهُمۡ لَا يُصِيۡبُهُمۡ ظَمَاٌ وَّلَا نَصَبٌ وَّلَا مَخۡمَصَةٌ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا يَطَـُٔــوۡنَ مَوۡطِئًا يَّغِيۡظُ الۡكُفَّارَ وَلَا يَنَالُوۡنَ مِنۡ عَدُوٍّ نَّيۡلاً اِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمۡ بِهٖ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُضِيۡعُ اَجۡرَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَۙ(التوبة :120)
Ma kana liahli almadeenati waman hawlahum mina ala'rabi an yatakhallafoo 'an rasooli Allahi wala yarghaboo bianfusihim 'an nafsihi thalika biannahum la yuseebuhum thamaon wala nasabun wala makhmasatun fee sabeeli Allahi wala yataoona mawtian yagheethu alkuffara wala yanaloona min 'aduwwin naylan illa kutiba lahum bihi 'amalun salihun inna Allaha la yudee'u ajra almuhsineena
Sahih International:
It was not [proper] for the people of Madinah and those surrounding them of the bedouins that they remain behind after [the departure of] the Messenger of Allah or that they prefer themselves over his self. That is because they are not afflicted by thirst or fatigue or hunger in the cause of Allah, nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that is registered for them as a righteous deed. Indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good.
وَاَنَّكَ لَا تَظۡمَؤُا فِيۡهَا وَلَا تَضۡحٰى(طه :119)
Waannaka la tathmao feeha wala tadha
Sahih International:
And indeed, you will not be thirsty therein or be hot from the sun."
وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اَعۡمَالُهُمۡ كَسَرَابٍۢ بِقِيۡعَةٍ يَّحۡسَبُهُ الظَّمۡاٰنُ مَآءً ؕ حَتّٰۤى اِذَا جَآءَهٗ لَمۡ يَجِدۡهُ شَيۡــًٔـا وَّ وَجَدَ اللّٰهَ عِنۡدَهٗ فَوَفّٰٮهُ حِسَابَهٗ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَرِيۡعُ الۡحِسَابِ(النور :39)
Waallatheena kafaroo a'maluhum kasarabin biqee'atin yahsabuhu alththamanu maan hatta itha jaahu lam yajidhu shayan wawajada Allaha 'indahu fawaffahu hisabahu waAllahu saree'u alhisabi
Sahih International:
But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing but finds Allah before Him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allah is swift in account.
ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمۡ اَيُّهَا الضَّآلُّوۡنَ الۡمُكَذِّبُوۡنَۙ(الواقعة :51)
Thumma innakum ayyuha alddalloona almukaththiboona
Sahih International:
Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers,
لَاٰكِلُوۡنَ مِنۡ شَجَرٍ مِّنۡ زَقُّوۡمٍۙ(الواقعة :52)
Laakiloona min shajarin min zaqqoomin
Sahih International:
Will be eating from trees of zaqqum
فَمٰلِــُٔوۡنَ مِنۡهَا الۡبُطُوۡنَۚ(الواقعة :53)
Famalioona minha albutoona
Sahih International:
And filling with it your bellies
فَشٰرِبُوۡنَ عَلَيۡهِ مِنَ الۡحَمِيۡمِۚ(الواقعة :54)
Fashariboona 'alayhi mina alhameemi
Sahih International:
And drinking on top of it from scalding water
فَشٰرِبُوۡنَ شُرۡبَ الۡهِيۡمِؕ(الواقعة :55)
Fashariboona shurba alheemi
Sahih International:
And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels.
