اِذۡ جَآءُوۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ فَوۡقِكُمۡ وَمِنۡ اَسۡفَلَ مِنۡكُمۡ وَاِذۡ زَاغَتِ الۡاَبۡصَارُ وَبَلَغَتِ الۡقُلُوۡبُ الۡحَـنَـاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ الظُّنُوۡنَا(الأحزاب :10)
Ith jaookum min fawqikum wamin asfala minkum waith zaghati alabsaru wabalaghati alquloobu alhanajira watathunnoona biAllahi alththunoona
Sahih International:
[Remember] when they came at you from above you and from below you, and when eyes shifted [in fear], and hearts reached the throats and you assumed about Allah [various] assumptions.
هُنَالِكَ ابۡتُلِىَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ وَزُلۡزِلُوۡا زِلۡزَالًا شَدِيۡدًا(الأحزاب :11)
Hunalika ibtuliya almuminoona wazulziloo zilzalan shadeedan
Sahih International:
There the believers were tested and shaken with a severe shaking.
وَاَنۡذِرۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡاٰزِفَةِ اِذِ الۡقُلُوۡبُ لَدَى الۡحَـنَاجِرِ كٰظِمِيۡنَ ۚ مَا لِلظّٰلِمِيۡنَ مِنۡ حَمِيۡمٍ وَّلَا شَفِيۡعٍ يُّطَاعُ(غافر :18)
Waanthirhum yawma alazifati ithi alquloobu lada alhanajiri kathimeena ma lilththalimeena min hameemin wala shafee'in yuta'u
Sahih International:
And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed.
فَلَوۡلَاۤ اِذَا بَلَغَتِ الۡحُـلۡقُوۡمَۙ(الواقعة :83)
Falawla itha balaghati alhulqooma
Sahih International:
Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat
وَاَنۡتُمۡ حِيۡنَٮِٕذٍ تَـنۡظُرُوۡنَۙ(الواقعة :84)
Waantum heenaithin tanthuroona
Sahih International:
And you are at that time looking on -
وَنَحۡنُ اَقۡرَبُ اِلَيۡهِ مِنۡكُمۡ وَلٰـكِنۡ لَّا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ(الواقعة :85)
Wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walakin la tubsiroona
Sahih International:
And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -
فَلَوۡلَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ غَيۡرَ مَدِيۡنِيۡنَۙ(الواقعة :86)
Falawla in kuntum ghayra madeeneena
Sahih International:
Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed,
تَرۡجِعُوۡنَهَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ(الواقعة :87)
Tarji'oonaha in kuntum sadiqeena
Sahih International:
Bring it back, if you should be truthful?
