Surah [56] Al-Waqi'a : 41
ARBNDEENIDTRUR

وَاَصۡحٰبُ الشِّمَالِ مَاۤ اَصۡحٰبُ الشِّمَالِؕ(الواقعة :41)

وَأَصْحَٰبُ
And (the) companions
ٱلشِّمَالِ
(of) the left
مَآ
what
أَصْحَٰبُ
(are the) companions
ٱلشِّمَالِ
(of) the left?

Waashabu alshshimali ma ashabu alshshimali

Sahih International:

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

ARBNDEENIDTRUR

فِىۡ سَمُوۡمٍ وَّحَمِيۡمٍۙ(الواقعة :42)

فِى
In
سَمُومٍ
scorching fire
وَحَمِيمٍ
and scalding water

Fee samoomin wahameemin

Sahih International:

[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

وَّظِلٍّ مِّنۡ يَّحۡمُوۡمٍۙ(الواقعة :43)

وَظِلٍّ
And a shade
مِّن

black smoke

Wathillin min yahmoomin

Sahih International:

And a shade of black smoke,

ARBNDEENIDTRUR

لَّا بَارِدٍ وَّلَا كَرِيۡمٍ(الواقعة :44)

لَّا
Not
بَارِدٍ
cool
وَلَا
and not
كَرِيمٍ
pleasant

La baridin wala kareemin

Sahih International:

Neither cool nor beneficial.

ARBNDEENIDTRUR

اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا قَبۡلَ ذٰ لِكَ مُتۡرَفِيۡنَۚ(الواقعة :45)

إِنَّهُمْ
Indeed they
كَانُوا۟
were
قَبْلَ
before
ذَٰلِكَ
that
مُتْرَفِينَ
indulging in affluence

Innahum kanoo qabla thalika mutrafeena

Sahih International:

Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

ARBNDEENIDTRUR

وَكَانُوۡا يُصِرُّوۡنَ عَلَى الۡحِنۡثِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ‌ۚ(الواقعة :46)

وَكَانُوا۟
And were
يُصِرُّونَ
persisting
عَلَى
in
ٱلْحِنثِ
the sin
ٱلْعَظِيمِ
the great

Wakanoo yusirroona 'ala alhinthi al'atheemi

Sahih International:

And they used to persist in the great violation,

Surah [56] Al-Waqi'a : 47
ARBNDEENIDTRUR

وَكَانُوۡا يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ اَٮِٕذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا ءَاِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوۡثُوۡنَۙ(الواقعة :47)

وَكَانُوا۟
And they used (to)
يَقُولُونَ
say
أَئِذَا
"When
مِتْنَا
we die
وَكُنَّا
and become
تُرَابًا
dust
وَعِظَٰمًا
and bones
أَءِنَّا
will we
لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
surely be resurrected?

Wakanoo yaqooloona aitha mitna wakunna turaban wa'ithaman ainna lamab'oothoona

Sahih International:

And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

Surah [56] Al-Waqi'a : 48
ARBNDEENIDTRUR

اَوَاٰبَآؤُنَا الۡاَوَّلُوۡنَ(الواقعة :48)

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا
And also
ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
our forefathers?

Awa abaona alawwaloona

Sahih International:

And our forefathers [as well]?"

ARBNDEENIDTRUR

قُلۡ اِنَّ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ وَالۡاٰخِرِيۡنَۙ(الواقعة :49)

قُلْ
Say
إِنَّ
"Indeed
ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
the former
وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
and the later people

Qul inna alawwaleena waalakhireena

Sahih International:

Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

Surah [56] Al-Waqi'a : 50
ARBNDEENIDTRUR

لَمَجۡمُوۡعُوۡنَ اِلٰى مِيۡقَاتِ يَوۡمٍ مَّعۡلُوۡمٍ(الواقعة :50)

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ
Surely will be gathered
إِلَىٰ
for
مِيقَٰتِ
(the) appointment
يَوْمٍ
(of) a Day
مَّعْلُومٍ
well-known"

Lamajmoo'oona ila meeqati yawmin ma'loomin

Sahih International:

Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."
