تَبَّتْ يَدَآ اَبِيْ لَهَبٍ وَّتَبَّۗ ( المسد: ١ )

and perish he
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
مَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُ مَالُهٗ وَمَا كَسَبَۗ ( المسد: ٢ )

(will) avail

عَنْهُ

his wealth

وَمَا

كَسَبَ
he earned
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
سَيَصْلٰى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۙ ( المسد: ٣ )
sayaṣlā
سَيَصْلَىٰ
He will be burnt

(in) a Fire

Blazing Flames
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
وَّامْرَاَتُهٗ ۗحَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِۚ ( المسد: ٤ )
wa-im'ra-atuhu
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ
And his wife
ḥammālata
حَمَّالَةَ
(the) carrier
l-ḥaṭabi
ٱلْحَطَبِ
(of) firewood
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.
فِيْ جِيْدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّنْ مَّسَدٍ ࣖ ( المسد: ٥ )
