قَالَ قَدۡ وَقَعَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ رِجۡسٌ وَّغَضَبٌؕ اَتُجَادِلُوۡنَنِىۡ فِىۡۤ اَسۡمَآءٍ سَمَّيۡتُمُوۡهَاۤ اَنۡـتُمۡ وَاٰبَآؤُكُمۡ مَّا نَزَّلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنۡ سُلۡطٰنٍؕ فَانْتَظِرُوۡۤا اِنِّىۡ مَعَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡمُنۡتَظِرِيۡنَ(الأعراف :71)
Qala qad waqa'a 'alaykum min rabbikum rijsun waghadabun atujadiloonanee fee asmain sammaytumooha antum waabaokum ma nazzala Allahu biha min sultanin faintathiroo innee ma'akum mina almuntathireena
Sahih International:
[Hud] said, "Already have defilement and anger fallen upon you from your Lord. Do you dispute with me concerning [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has not sent down any authority? Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."
قُلۡ هَلۡ تَرَبَّصُوۡنَ بِنَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اِحۡدَى الۡحُسۡنَيَيۡنِؕ وَنَحۡنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمۡ اَنۡ يُّصِيۡبَكُمُ اللّٰهُ بِعَذَابٍ مِّنۡ عِنۡدِهٖۤ اَوۡ بِاَيۡدِيۡنَا ۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوۡۤا اِنَّا مَعَكُمۡ مُّتَرَبِّصُوۡنَ(التوبة :52)
Qul hal tarabbasoona bina illa ihda alhusnayayni wanahnu natarabbasu bikum an yuseebakumu Allahu bi'athabin min 'indihi aw biaydeena fatarabbasoo inna ma'akum mutarabbisoona
Sahih International:
Say, "Do you await for us except one of the two best things while we await for you that Allah will afflict you with punishment from Himself or at our hands? So wait; indeed we, along with you, are waiting."
فَهَلۡ يَنۡتَظِرُوۡنَ اِلَّا مِثۡلَ اَيَّامِ الَّذِيۡنَ خَلَوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡؕ قُلۡ فَانْتَظِرُوۡۤا اِنِّىۡ مَعَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡمُنۡتَظِرِيۡنَ(يونس :102)
Fahal yantathiroona illa mithla ayyami allatheena khalaw min qablihim qul faintathiroo innee ma'akum mina almuntathireena
Sahih International:
So do they wait except for like [what occurred in] the days of those who passed on before them? Say, "Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."
وَانْـتَظِرُوۡا ۚ اِنَّا مُنۡتَظِرُوۡنَ(هود :122)
Waintathiroo inna muntathiroona
Sahih International:
And wait, indeed, we are waiting."
قُلۡ كُلٌّ مُّتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوۡا ۚ فَسَتَعۡلَمُوۡنَ مَنۡ اَصۡحٰبُ الصِّرَاطِ السَّوِىِّ وَمَنِ اهۡتَدٰى(طه :135)
Qul kullun mutarabbisun fatarabbasoo fasata'lamoona man ashabu alssirati alssawiyyi wamani ihtada
Sahih International:
Say, "Each [of us] is waiting; so wait. For you will know who are the companions of the sound path and who is guided."
فَارۡتَقِبۡ اِنَّهُمۡ مُّرۡتَقِبُوۡنَ(الدخان :59)
Fairtaqib innahum murtaqiboona
Sahih International:
So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end].
قُلۡ تَرَبَّصُوۡا فَاِنِّىۡ مَعَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡمُتَـرَبِّصِيۡنَ(الطور :31)
Qul tarabbasoo fainnee ma'akum mina almutarabbiseena
Sahih International:
Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."
