يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you
ٱلْمُدَّثِّرُ
who covers himself!
Yaaa ayyuhal muddassir
O you who covers himself [with a garment],
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَمْنُن
confer favor
تَسْتَكْثِرُ
(to) acquire more
Wa laa tamnun tastaksir
And do not confer favor to acquire more.
وَلِرَبِّكَ
And for your Lord
فَٱصْبِرْ
be patient
Wa li Rabbika fasbir
But for your Lord be patient.
فَإِذَا
Then when
نُقِرَ
is blown
فِى
in
ٱلنَّاقُورِ
the trumpet
Fa izaa nuqira fin naaqoor
And when the trumpet is blown,
فَذَٰلِكَ
That
يَوْمَئِذٍ
Day
يَوْمٌ
(will be) a Day
عَسِيرٌ
difficult
Fazaalika yawma 'iziny yawmun 'aseer
That Day will be a difficult day
عَلَى
For
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
the disbelievers -
غَيْرُ
not
يَسِيرٍ
easy
'Alal kaafireena ghayru yaseer
For the disbelievers – not easy.
