قُلْ لِّـلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اِنۡ يَّنۡتَهُوۡا يُغۡفَرۡ لَهُمۡ مَّا قَدۡ سَلَفَۚ وَاِنۡ يَّعُوۡدُوۡا فَقَدۡ مَضَتۡ سُنَّتُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ(الأنفال :38)
Qul lillatheena kafaroo in yantahoo yughfar lahum ma qad salafa wain ya'oodoo faqad madat sunnatu alawwaleena
Sahih International:
Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them. But if they return [to hostility] - then the precedent of the former [rebellious] peoples has already taken place.
سُنَّةَ مَنۡ قَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا قَبۡلَكَ مِنۡ رُّسُلِنَا وَلَا تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحۡوِيۡلًا(الإسراء :77)
Sunnata man qad arsalna qablaka min rusulina wala tajidu lisunnatina tahweelan
Sahih International:
[That is Our] established way for those We had sent before you of Our messengers; and you will not find in Our way any alteration.
وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ اَنۡ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡۤا اِذۡ جَآءَهُمُ الۡهُدٰى وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡا رَبَّهُمۡ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ تَاۡتِيَهُمۡ سُنَّةُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ اَوۡ يَاۡتِيَهُمُ الۡعَذَابُ قُبُلًا(الكهف :55)
Wama mana'a alnnasa an yuminoo ith jaahumu alhuda wayastaghfiroo rabbahum illa an tatiyahum sunnatu alawwaleena aw yatiyahumu al'athabu qubulan
Sahih International:
And nothing has prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and from asking forgiveness of their Lord except that there [must] befall them the [accustomed] precedent of the former peoples or that the punishment should come [directly] before them.
مَا كَانَ عَلَى النَّبِىِّ مِنۡ حَرَجٍ فِيۡمَا فَرَضَ اللّٰهُ لهٗ ؕ سُنَّةَ اللّٰهِ فِى الَّذِيۡنَ خَلَوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ؕ وَكَانَ اَمۡرُ اللّٰهِ قَدَرًا مَّقۡدُوۡرَا(الأحزاب :38)
Ma kana 'ala alnnabiyyi min harajin feema farada Allahu lahu sunnata Allahi fee allatheena khalaw min qablu wakana amru Allahi qadaran maqdooran
Sahih International:
There is not to be upon the Prophet any discomfort concerning that which Allah has imposed upon him. [This is] the established way of Allah with those [prophets] who have passed on before. And ever is the command of Allah a destiny decreed.
سُنَّةَ اللّٰهِ فِى الَّذِيۡنَ خَلَوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلُۚ وَلَنۡ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللّٰهِ تَبۡدِيۡلًا(الأحزاب :62)
Sunnata Allahi fee allatheena khalaw min qablu walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tabdeelan
Sahih International:
[This is] the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change.
وَاَ قۡسَمُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ جَهۡدَ اَيۡمَانِهِمۡ لَٮِٕنۡ جَآءَهُمۡ نَذِيۡرٌ لَّيَكُوۡنُنَّ اَهۡدٰى مِنۡ اِحۡدَى الۡاُمَمِۚ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ نَذِيۡرٌ مَّا زَادَهُمۡ اِلَّا نُفُوۡرًا(فاطر :42)
Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim lain jaahum natheerun layakoonunna ahda min ihda alomami falamma jaahum natheerun ma zadahum illa nufooran
Sahih International:
And they swore by Allah their strongest oaths that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than [any] one of the [previous] nations. But when a warner came to them, it did not increase them except in aversion.
اۨسۡتِكۡبَارًا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ وَمَكۡرَ السَّيّیٴِؕ وَلَا يَحِيۡقُ الۡمَكۡرُ السَّيِّـئُ اِلَّا بِاَهۡلِهٖ ؕ فَهَلۡ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ اِلَّا سُنَّتَ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ۚ فَلَنۡ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللّٰهِ تَبۡدِيۡلًا ۖوَلَنۡ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللّٰهِ تَحۡوِيۡلًا(فاطر :43)
Istikbaran fee alardi wamakra alssayyii wala yaheequ almakru alssayyio illa biahlihi fahal yanthuroona illa sunnata alawwaleena falan tajida lisunnati Allahi tabdeelan walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tahweelan
Sahih International:
[Due to] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration.
فَلَمۡ يَكُ يَنۡفَعُهُمۡ اِيۡمَانُهُمۡ لَمَّا رَاَوۡا بَاۡسَنَا ؕ سُنَّتَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِىۡ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ فِىۡ عِبَادِهٖۚ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ(غافر :85)
Falam yaku yanfa'uhum eemanuhum lamma raaw basana sunnata Allahi allatee qad khalat fee 'ibadihi wakhasira hunalika alkafiroona
Sahih International:
But never did their faith benefit them once they saw Our punishment. [It is] the established way of Allah which has preceded among His servants. And the disbelievers thereupon lost [all].
سُنَّةَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِىۡ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ۖۚ وَلَنۡ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللّٰهِ تَبۡدِيۡلًا(الفتح :23)
Sunnata Allahi allatee qad khalat min qablu walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tabdeelan
Sahih International:
[This is] the established way of Allah which has occurred before. And never will you find in the way of Allah any change.
