اَللّٰهُ نُوۡرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ مَثَلُ نُوۡرِهٖ كَمِشۡكٰوةٍ فِيۡهَا مِصۡبَاحٌ ؕ الۡمِصۡبَاحُ فِىۡ زُجَاجَةٍ ؕ اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوۡكَبٌ دُرِّىٌّ يُّوۡقَدُ مِنۡ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰـرَكَةٍ زَيۡتُوۡنَةٍ لَّا شَرۡقِيَّةٍ وَّلَا غَرۡبِيَّةٍ ۙ يَّـكَادُ زَيۡتُهَا يُضِىۡٓءُ وَلَوۡ لَمۡ تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارٌ ؕ نُوۡرٌ عَلٰى نُوۡرٍ ؕ يَهۡدِى اللّٰهُ لِنُوۡرِهٖ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَ يَضۡرِبُ اللّٰهُ الۡاَمۡثَالَ لِلنَّاسِؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ(النور :35)
Allahu nooru alssamawati waalardi mathalu noorihi kamishkatin feeha misbahun almisbahu fee zujajatin alzzujajatu kaannaha kawkabun durriyyun yooqadu min shajaratin mubarakatin zaytoonatin la sharqiyyatin wala gharbiyyatin yakadu zaytuha yudeeo walaw lam tamsashu narun noorun 'ala noorin yahdee Allahu linoorihi man yashao wayadribu Allahu alamthala lilnnasi waAllahu bikulli shayin 'aleemun
Sahih International:
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.
تَبٰـرَكَ الَّذِىۡ جَعَلَ فِى السَّمَآءِ بُرُوۡجًا وَّجَعَلَ فِيۡهَا سِرٰجًا وَّقَمَرًا مُّنِيۡرًا(الفرقان :61)
Tabaraka allathee ja'ala fee alssamai buroojan waja'ala feeha sirajan waqamaran muneeran
Sahih International:
Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.
يٰۤـاَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ شَاهِدًا وَّمُبَشِّرًا وَّنَذِيۡرًا(الأحزاب :45)
Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu inna arsalnaka shahidan wamubashshiran wanatheeran
Sahih International:
O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner.
وَّدَاعِيًا اِلَى اللّٰهِ بِاِذۡنِهٖ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيۡرًا(الأحزاب :46)
Wada'iyan ila Allahi biithnihi wasirajan muneeran
Sahih International:
And one who invites to Allah, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp.
فَقَضٰٮهُنَّ سَبۡعَ سَمٰوَاتٍ فِىۡ يَوۡمَيۡنِ وَاَوۡحٰى فِىۡ كُلِّ سَمَآءٍ اَمۡرَهَا ؕ وَزَ يَّـنَّـا السَّمَآءَ الدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَابِيۡحَ ۖ وَحِفۡظًا ؕ ذٰ لِكَ تَقۡدِيۡرُ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡعَلِيۡمِ(فصلت :12)
Faqadahunna sab'a samawatin fee yawmayni waawha fee kulli samain amraha wazayyanna alssamaa alddunya bimasabeeha wahifthan thalika taqdeeru al'azeezi al'aleemi
Sahih International:
And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
وَلَـقَدۡ زَيَّـنَّا السَّمَآءَ الدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَابِيۡحَ وَجَعَلۡنٰهَا رُجُوۡمًا لِّلشَّيٰطِيۡنِ وَاَعۡتَدۡنَا لَهُمۡ عَذَابَ السَّعِيۡرِ(الملك :5)
Walaqad zayyanna alssamaa alddunya bimasabeeha waja'alnaha rujooman lilshshayateeni waa'tadna lahum 'athaba alssa'eeri
Sahih International:
And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.
اَلَمۡ تَرَوۡا كَيۡفَ خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ سَبۡعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ طِبَاقًا(نوح :15)
Alam taraw kayfa khalaqa Allahu sab'a samawatin tibaqan
Sahih International:
Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers
وَّجَعَلَ الۡقَمَرَ فِيۡهِنَّ نُوۡرًا ۙ وَّجَعَلَ الشَّمۡسَ سِرَاجًا(نوح :16)
Waja'ala alqamara feehinna nooran waja'ala alshshamsa sirajan
Sahih International:
And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp?
وَّبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعًا شِدَادًا(النبإ :12)
Wabanayna fawqakum sab'an shidadan
Sahih International:
And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]
وَّ جَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجًا وَّهَّاجًا(النبإ :13)
Waja'alna sirajan wahhajan
Sahih International:
And made [therein] a burning lamp
