وَلَـقَدۡ كَذَّبَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡحِجۡرِ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَۙ(الحجر :80)
Walaqad kaththaba ashabu alhijri almursaleena
Sahih International:
And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers.
وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ اٰيٰتِنَا فَكَانُوۡا عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِيۡنَۙ(الحجر :81)
Waataynahum ayatina fakanoo 'anha mu'rideena
Sahih International:
And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away.
وَكَانُوۡا يَنۡحِتُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡجِبَالِ بُيُوۡتًا اٰمِنِيۡنَ(الحجر :82)
Wakanoo yanhitoona mina aljibali buyootan amineena
Sahih International:
And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.
فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِيۡنَۙ(الحجر :83)
Faakhathathumu alssayhatu musbiheena
Sahih International:
But the shriek seized them at early morning.
فَمَاۤ اَغۡنٰى عَنۡهُمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَؕ(الحجر :84)
Fama aghna 'anhum ma kanoo yaksiboona
Sahih International:
So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn.
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاۤ اِلَّا بِالۡحَـقِّ ؕ وَاِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَاٰتِيَةٌ فَاصۡفَحِ الصَّفۡحَ الۡجَمِيۡلَ(الحجر :85)
Wama khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi wainna alssa'ata laatiyatun faisfahi alssafha aljameela
Sahih International:
And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness.
