وَالسَّمَاۤءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِۙ ( الطارق: ١١ )
wal-samāi
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ
By the sky
dhāti
ذَاتِ
which
l-rajʿi
ٱلرَّجْعِ
returns
By the sky which sends back
وَالْاَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِۙ ( الطارق: ١٢ )
wal-arḍi
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
And the earth
dhāti
ذَاتِ
which
l-ṣadʿi
ٱلصَّدْعِ
cracks open
And [by] the earth which splits,
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌۙ ( الطارق: ١٣ )
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed it
laqawlun
لَقَوْلٌ
(is) surely a Word
faṣlun
فَصْلٌ
decisive
Indeed, it [i.e., the Quran] is a decisive statement,
وَّمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِۗ ( الطارق: ١٤ )
wamā
وَمَا
And not
huwa
هُوَ
it
bil-hazli
بِٱلْهَزْلِ
(is) for amusement
And it is not amusement.
اِنَّهُمْ يَكِيْدُوْنَ كَيْدًاۙ ( الطارق: ١٥ )
innahum
إِنَّهُمْ
Indeed they
yakīdūna
يَكِيدُونَ
are plotting
kaydan
كَيْدًا
a plot
Indeed, they are planning a plan,
وَّاَكِيْدُ كَيْدًاۖ ( الطارق: ١٦ )
wa-akīdu
وَأَكِيدُ
But I am planning
kaydan
كَيْدًا
a plan
But I am planning a plan.
فَمَهِّلِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ اَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا ࣖ ( الطارق: ١٧ )
famahhili
فَمَهِّلِ
So give respite
l-kāfirīna
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
(to) the disbelievers
amhil'hum
أَمْهِلْهُمْ
Give respite to them -
ruwaydan
رُوَيْدًۢا
little
So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.
