وَوَصّٰى بِهَآ اِبۡرٰهٖمُ بَنِيۡهِ وَ يَعۡقُوۡبُؕ يٰبَنِىَّ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ اصۡطَفٰى لَـكُمُ الدِّيۡنَ فَلَا تَمُوۡتُنَّ اِلَّا وَاَنۡـتُمۡ مُّسۡلِمُوۡنَؕ(البقرة :132)
Wawassa biha ibraheemu baneehi waya'qoobu ya baniyya inna Allaha istafa lakumu alddeena fala tamootunna illa waantum muslimoona
Sahih International:
And Abraham instructed his sons [to do the same] and [so did] Jacob, [saying], "O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims."
اَمۡ كُنۡتُمۡ شُهَدَآءَ اِذۡ حَضَرَ يَعۡقُوۡبَ الۡمَوۡتُۙ اِذۡ قَالَ لِبَنِيۡهِ مَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِىۡؕ قَالُوۡا نَعۡبُدُ اِلٰهَكَ وَاِلٰهَ اٰبَآٮِٕكَ اِبۡرٰهٖمَ وَاِسۡمٰعِيۡلَ وَاِسۡحٰقَ اِلٰهًا وَّاحِدًا ۖۚ وَّنَحۡنُ لَهٗ مُسۡلِمُوۡنَ(البقرة :133)
Am kuntum shuhadaa ith hadara ya'qooba almawtu ith qala libaneehi ma ta'budoona min ba'dee qaloo na'budu ilahaka wailaha abaika ibraheema waisma'eela waishaqa ilahan wahidan wanahnu lahu muslimoona
Sahih International:
Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac - one God. And we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."
اِنَّاۤ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ كَمَاۤ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلٰى نُوۡحٍ وَّالنَّبِيّٖنَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖ ۚ وَاَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلٰٓى اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَاِسۡمٰعِيۡلَ وَاِسۡحٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَ وَالۡاَسۡبَاطِ وَعِيۡسٰى وَاَيُّوۡبَ وَيُوۡنُسَ وَهٰرُوۡنَ وَسُلَيۡمٰنَ ۚ وَاٰتَيۡنَا دَاوٗدَ زَبُوۡرًا(النساء :163)
Inna awhayna ilayka kama awhayna ila noohin waalnnabiyyeena min ba'dihi waawhayna ila ibraheema waisma'eela waishaqa waya'qooba waalasbati wa'eesa waayyooba wayoonusa waharoona wasulaymana waatayna dawooda zabooran
Sahih International:
Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهٗۤ اِسۡحٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَؕ كُلًّا هَدَيۡنَا ۚ وَنُوۡحًا هَدَيۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَمِنۡ ذُرِّيَّتِهٖ دَاوٗدَ وَسُلَيۡمٰنَ وَاَيُّوۡبَ وَيُوۡسُفَ وَمُوۡسٰى وَ هٰرُوۡنَؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِى الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَۙ (الأنعام :84)
Wawahabna lahu ishaqa waya'qooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadayna min qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymana waayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalika najzee almuhsineena
Sahih International:
And We gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good.
وَجَآءُوۡ عَلٰى قَمِيـۡصِهٖ بِدَمٍ كَذِبٍؕ قَالَ بَلۡ سَوَّلَتۡ لَـكُمۡ اَنۡفُسُكُمۡ اَمۡرًاؕ فَصَبۡرٌ جَمِيۡلٌؕ وَاللّٰهُ الۡمُسۡتَعَانُ عَلٰى مَا تَصِفُوۡنَ(يوسف :18)
Wajaoo 'ala qameesihi bidamin kathibin qala bal sawwalat lakum anfusukum amran fasabrun jameelun waAllahu almusta'anu 'ala ma tasifoona
Sahih International:
And they brought upon his shirt false blood. [Jacob] said, "Rather, your souls have enticed you to something, so patience is most fitting. And Allah is the one sought for help against that which you describe."
فَلَمَّا اعۡتَزَلَهُمۡ وَمَا يَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ ۙ وَهَبۡنَا لَهٗۤ اِسۡحٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَ ؕ وَكُلًّا جَعَلۡنَا نَبِيًّا(مريم :49)
Falamma i'tazalahum wama ya'budoona min dooni Allahi wahabna lahu ishaqa waya'qooba wakullan ja'alna nabiyyan
Sahih International:
So when he had left them and those they worshipped other than Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and each [of them] We made a prophet.
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهٗۤ اِسۡحٰقَ ؕ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَ نَافِلَةً ؕ وَكُلًّا جَعَلۡنَا صٰلِحِيۡنَ(الأنبياء :72)
Wawahabna lahu ishaqa waya'qooba nafilatan wakullan ja'alna saliheena
Sahih International:
And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous.
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهٗۤ اِسۡحٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِىۡ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالۡكِتٰبَ وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُ اَجۡرَهٗ فِى الدُّنۡيَا ۚ وَاِنَّهٗ فِى الۡاٰخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصّٰلِحِيۡنَ(العنكبوت :27)
Wawahabna lahu ishaqa waya'qooba waja'alna fee thurriyyatihi alnnubuwwata waalkitaba waataynahu ajrahu fee alddunya wainnahu fee alakhirati lamina alssaliheena
Sahih International:
And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous.
