وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحۡيٰى وَعِيۡسٰى وَاِلۡيَاسَؕ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِيۡنَۙ(الأنعام :85)
Wazakariyya wayahya wa'eesa wailyasa kullun mina alssaliheena
Sahih International:
And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous.
وَاِنَّ اِلۡيَاسَ لَمِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَؕ(الصافات :123)
Wainna ilyasa lamina almursaleena
Sahih International:
And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers,
اِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهٖۤ اَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ(الصافات :124)
Ith qala liqawmihi ala tattaqoona
Sahih International:
When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah ?
اَتَدۡعُوۡنَ بَعۡلًا وَّتَذَرُوۡنَ اَحۡسَنَ الۡخٰلِقِيۡنَۙ(الصافات :125)
Atad'oona ba'lan watatharoona ahsana alkhaliqeena
Sahih International:
Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators -
اللّٰهَ رَبَّكُمۡ وَرَبَّ اٰبَآٮِٕكُمُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ(الصافات :126)
Allaha rabbakum warabba abaikumu alawwaleena
Sahih International:
Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"
فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُوۡنَۙ(الصافات :127)
Fakaththaboohu fainnahum lamuhdaroona
Sahih International:
And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment],
اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الۡمُخۡلَصِيۡنَ(الصافات :128)
Illa 'ibada Allahi almukhlaseena
Sahih International:
Except the chosen servants of Allah .
وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِى الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَۙ(الصافات :129)
Watarakna 'alayhi fee alakhireena
Sahih International:
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations;
سَلٰمٌ عَلٰٓى اِلۡ يَاسِيۡنَ(الصافات :130)
Salamun 'ala il yaseena
Sahih International:
"Peace upon Elias."
اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِى الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ(الصافات :131)
Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena
Sahih International:
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
