اَلْهٰىكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ ( التكاثر: ١ )
alhākumu
أَلْهَىٰكُمُ
Diverts you
l-takāthuru
ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
the competition to increase
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you.
حَتّٰى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَۗ ( التكاثر: ٢ )
ḥattā
حَتَّىٰ
Until
zur'tumu
زُرْتُمُ
you visit
l-maqābira
ٱلْمَقَابِرَ
the graves
Until you visit the graveyards.
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ ( التكاثر: ٣ )
kallā
كَلَّا
Nay!
sawfa
سَوْفَ
Soon
taʿlamūna
تَعْلَمُونَ
you will know
No! You are going to know.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ( التكاثر: ٤ )
thumma
ثُمَّ
Then
kallā
كَلَّا
nay!
sawfa
سَوْفَ
Soon
taʿlamūna
تَعْلَمُونَ
you will know
Then, no! You are going to know.
كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِيْنِۗ ( التكاثر: ٥ )
kallā
كَلَّا
Nay!
law
لَوْ
If
taʿlamūna
تَعْلَمُونَ
you know
ʿil'ma
عِلْمَ
(with) a knowledge
l-yaqīni
ٱلْيَقِينِ
(of) certainty
No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...
لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيْمَۙ ( التكاثر: ٦ )
latarawunna
لَتَرَوُنَّ
Surely you will see
l-jaḥīma
ٱلْجَحِيمَ
the Hellfire
You will surely see the Hellfire.
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِيْنِۙ ( التكاثر: ٧ )

ثُمَّ
Then
latarawunnahā
لَتَرَوُنَّهَا
surely you will see it
ʿayna
عَيْنَ
(with the) eye
l-yaqīni
ٱلْيَقِينِ
(of) certainty
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيْمِ ࣖ ( التكاثر: ٨ )

Then
latus'alunna
لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ
surely you will be asked
yawma-idhin
يَوْمَئِذٍ
that Day
ʿani
عَنِ
about
l-naʿīmi
ٱلنَّعِيمِ
the pleasures
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.
