ثُمَّ لَاَتِيَنَّهُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَيۡنِ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ وَعَنۡ اَيۡمَانِهِمۡ وَعَنۡ شَمَآٮِٕلِهِمۡؕ وَلَا تَجِدُ اَكۡثَرَهُمۡ شٰكِرِيۡنَ(الأعراف :17)
Thumma laatiyannahum min bayni aydeehim wamin khalfihim wa'an aymanihim wa'an shamailihim wala tajidu aktharahum shakireena
Sahih International:
Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You]."
اَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اِلٰى مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ يَّتَفَيَّؤُا ظِلٰلُهٗ عَنِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَالشَّمَآٮِٕلِ سُجَّدًا لِّلَّهِ وَهُمۡ دٰخِرُوۡنَ(النحل :48)
Awa lam yaraw ila ma khalaqa Allahu min shayin yatafayyao thilaluhu 'ani alyameeni waalshshamaili sujjadan lillahi wahum dakhiroona
Sahih International:
Have they not considered what things Allah has created? Their shadows incline to the right and to the left, prostrating to Allah, while they are humble.
وَتَرَى الشَّمۡسَ اِذَا طَلَعَتۡ تَّزٰوَرُ عَنۡ كَهۡفِهِمۡ ذَاتَ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَاِذَا غَرَبَتۡ تَّقۡرِضُهُمۡ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ وَهُمۡ فِىۡ فَجۡوَةٍ مِّنۡهُ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ مِنۡ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ؕ مَنۡ يَّهۡدِ اللّٰهُ فَهُوَ الۡمُهۡتَدِ ۚ وَمَنۡ يُّضۡلِلۡ فَلَنۡ تَجِدَ لَهٗ وَلِيًّا مُّرۡشِدًا(الكهف :17)
Watara alshshamsa itha tala'at tazawaru 'an kahfihim thata alyameeni waitha gharabat taqriduhum thata alshshimali wahum fee fajwatin minhu thalika min ayati Allahi man yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadi waman yudlil falan tajida lahu waliyyan murshidan
Sahih International:
And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah . He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He leaves astray - never will you find for him a protecting guide.
وَ تَحۡسَبُهُمۡ اَيۡقَاظًا وَّهُمۡ رُقُوۡدٌ ۖ وَنُـقَلِّبُهُمۡ ذَاتَ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ ۖ وَكَلۡبُهُمۡ بَاسِطٌ ذِرَاعَيۡهِ بِالۡوَصِيۡدِ ؕ لَوِ اطَّلَعۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ لَوَلَّيۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ فِرَارًا وَّلَمُلِئۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ رُعۡبًا(الكهف :18)
Watahsabuhum ayqathan wahum ruqoodun wanuqallibuhum thata alyameeni wathata alshshimali wakalbuhum basitun thira'ayhi bialwaseedi lawi ittala'ta 'alayhim lawallayta minhum firaran walamulita minhum ru'ban
Sahih International:
And you would think them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them to the right and to the left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance. If you had looked at them, you would have turned from them in flight and been filled by them with terror.
لَقَدۡ كَانَ لِسَبَاٍ فِىۡ مَسۡكَنِهِمۡ اٰيَةٌ ۚ جَنَّتٰنِ عَنۡ يَّمِيۡنٍ وَّشِمَالٍ ۖ کُلُوۡا مِنۡ رِّزۡقِ رَبِّكُمۡ وَاشۡكُرُوۡا لَهٗ ؕ بَلۡدَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَّرَبٌّ غَفُوۡرٌ(سبإ :15)
Laqad kana lisabain fee maskanihim ayatun jannatani 'an yameenin washimalin kuloo min rizqi rabbikum waoshkuroo lahu baldatun tayyibatun warabbun ghafoorun
Sahih International:
There was for [the tribe of] Saba' in their dwelling place a sign; two [fields of] gardens on the right and on the left. [They were told], "Eat from the provisions of your Lord and be grateful to Him. A good land [have you], and a forgiving Lord."
اِذۡ يَتَلَقَّى الۡمُتَلَقِّيٰنِ عَنِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيۡدٌ(ق :17)
Ith yatalaqqa almutalaqqiyani 'ani alyameeni wa'ani alshshimali qa'eedun
Sahih International:
When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.
وَاَمَّا مَنۡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِشِمَالِهٖ فَيَقُوۡلُ يٰلَيۡتَنِىۡ لَمۡ اُوۡتَ كِتٰبِيَهۡۚ(الحاقة :25)
Waamma man ootiya kitabahu bishimalihi fayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oota kitabiyah
Sahih International:
But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record
فَمَالِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا قِبَلَكَ مُهۡطِعِيۡنَۙ(المعارج :36)
Famali allatheena kafaroo qibalaka muhti'eena
Sahih International:
So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad],
عَنِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِيۡنَ(المعارج :37)
'ani alyameeni wa'ani alshshimali 'izeena
Sahih International:
[To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups?
وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا هُمۡ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡمَشۡـَٔـمَةِ(البلد :19)
Waallatheena kafaroo biayatina hum ashabu almashamati
Sahih International:
But they who disbelieved in Our signs - those are the companions of the left.
