وَلَا تَقُوۡلُوۡا لِمَنۡ يُّقۡتَلُ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ اَمۡوَاتٌ ؕ بَلۡ اَحۡيَآءٌ وَّلٰـكِنۡ لَّا تَشۡعُرُوۡنَ(البقرة :154)
Wala taqooloo liman yuqtalu fee sabeeli Allahi amwatun bal ahyaon walakin la tash'uroona
Sahih International:
And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.
اِنَّمَا يَاۡمُرُكُمۡ بِالسُّوۡٓءِ وَالۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَاَنۡ تَقُوۡلُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(البقرة :169)
Innama yamurukum bialssooi waalfahshai waan taqooloo 'ala Allahi ma la ta'lamoona
Sahih International:
He only orders you to evil and immorality and to say about Allah what you do not know.
وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوۡا مَآ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوۡا بَلۡ نَـتَّبِعُ مَآ اَلۡفَيۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ اٰبَآءَنَا ؕ اَوَلَوۡ كَانَ اٰبَآؤُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡقِلُوۡنَ شَيۡـًٔـا وَّلَا يَهۡتَدُوۡنَ(البقرة :170)
Waitha qeela lahumu ittabi'oo ma anzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabi'u ma alfayna 'alayhi abaana awalaw kana abaohum la ya'qiloona shayan wala yahtadoona
Sahih International:
And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?
وَمَثَلُ الَّذِيۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا كَمَثَلِ الَّذِىۡ يَنۡعِقُ بِمَا لَا يَسۡمَعُ اِلَّا دُعَآءً وَّنِدَآءً ؕ صُمٌّۢ بُكۡمٌ عُمۡـىٌ فَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡقِلُوۡنَ(البقرة :171)
Wamathalu allatheena kafaroo kamathali allathee yan'iqu bima la yasma'u illa du'aan wanidaan summun bukmun 'umyun fahum la ya'qiloona
Sahih International:
The example of those who disbelieve is like that of one who shouts at what hears nothing but calls and cries cattle or sheep - deaf, dumb and blind, so they do not understand.
وَلَٮِٕنۡ قُتِلۡتُمۡ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ اَوۡ مُتُّمۡ لَمَغۡفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرَحۡمَةٌ خَيۡرٌ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُوۡنَ(آل عمران :157)
Walain qutiltum fee sabeeli Allahi aw muttum lamaghfiratun mina Allahi warahmatun khayrun mimma yajma'oona
Sahih International:
And if you are killed in the cause of Allah or die - then forgiveness from Allah and mercy are better than whatever they accumulate [in this world].
وَمَنۡ يُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَالرَّسُوۡلَ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ مَعَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَنۡعَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ مِّنَ النَّبِيّٖنَ وَالصِّدِّيۡقِيۡنَ وَالشُّهَدَآءِ وَالصّٰلِحِيۡنَ ۚ وَحَسُنَ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ رَفِيۡقًا(النساء :69)
Waman yuti'i Allaha waalrrasoola faolaika ma'a allatheena an'ama Allahu 'alayhim mina alnnabiyyeena waalssiddeeqeena waalshshuhadai waalssaliheena wahasuna olaika rafeeqan
Sahih International:
And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.
فَلۡيُقَاتِلۡ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيۡنَ يَشۡرُوۡنَ الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا بِالۡاٰخِرَةِ ؕ وَمَنۡ يُّقَاتِلۡ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ فَيُقۡتَلۡ اَوۡ يَغۡلِبۡ فَسَوۡفَ نُـؤۡتِيۡهِ اَجۡرًا عَظِيۡمًا(النساء :74)
Falyuqatil fee sabeeli Allahi allatheena yashroona alhayata alddunya bialakhirati waman yuqatil fee sabeeli Allahi fayuqtal aw yaghlib fasawfa nuteehi ajran 'atheeman
Sahih International:
So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward.
قُلۡ هَلۡ تَرَبَّصُوۡنَ بِنَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اِحۡدَى الۡحُسۡنَيَيۡنِؕ وَنَحۡنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمۡ اَنۡ يُّصِيۡبَكُمُ اللّٰهُ بِعَذَابٍ مِّنۡ عِنۡدِهٖۤ اَوۡ بِاَيۡدِيۡنَا ۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوۡۤا اِنَّا مَعَكُمۡ مُّتَرَبِّصُوۡنَ(التوبة :52)
Qul hal tarabbasoona bina illa ihda alhusnayayni wanahnu natarabbasu bikum an yuseebakumu Allahu bi'athabin min 'indihi aw biaydeena fatarabbasoo inna ma'akum mutarabbisoona
Sahih International:
Say, "Do you await for us except one of the two best things while we await for you that Allah will afflict you with punishment from Himself or at our hands? So wait; indeed we, along with you, are waiting."
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هَاجَرُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ قُتِلُوۡۤا اَوۡ مَاتُوۡا لَيَرۡزُقَنَّهُمُ اللّٰهُ رِزۡقًا حَسَنًاؕ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَهُوَ خَيۡرُ الرّٰزِقِيۡنَ(الحج :58)
Waallatheena hajaroo fee sabeeli Allahi thumma qutiloo aw matoo layarzuqannahumu Allahu rizqan hasanan wainna Allaha lahuwa khayru alrraziqeena
Sahih International:
And those who emigrated for the cause of Allah and then were killed or died - Allah will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, it is Allah who is the best of providers.
