كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ ۖ ( الشعراء: ١٤١ )
Thamud denied the messengers.
اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ صٰلِحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ۚ ( الشعراء: ١٤٢ )
When their brother Saleh said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
اِنِّيْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌ ۙ ( الشعراء: ١٤٣ )
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ۚ ( الشعراء: ١٤٤ )
So fear Allah and obey me.
وَمَآ اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۚ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ۗ ( الشعراء: ١٤٥ )
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
اَتُتْرَكُوْنَ فِيْ مَا هٰهُنَآ اٰمِنِيْنَ ۙ ( الشعراء: ١٤٦ )
Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death],
فِيْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوْنٍ ۙ ( الشعراء: ١٤٧ )
Within gardens and springs.
وَّزُرُوْعٍ وَّنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيْمٌ ۚ ( الشعراء: ١٤٨ )
And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit?
وَتَنْحِتُوْنَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوْتًا فٰرِهِيْنَ ( الشعراء: ١٤٩ )
And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill.
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ۚ ( الشعراء: ١٥٠ )
So fear Allah and obey me.
