وَقَالَ مُوۡسٰى رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ اٰتَيۡتَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَاَهٗ زِيۡنَةً وَّاَمۡوَالًا فِى الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ۙ رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّوۡا عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِكَۚ رَبَّنَا اطۡمِسۡ عَلٰٓى اَمۡوَالِهِمۡ وَاشۡدُدۡ عَلٰى قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡا حَتّٰى يَرَوُا الۡعَذَابَ الۡاَ لِيۡمَ(يونس :88)
Waqala moosa rabbana innaka atayta fir'awna wamalaahu zeenatan waamwalan fee alhayati alddunya rabbana liyudilloo 'an sabeelika rabbana itmis 'ala amwalihim waoshdud 'ala quloobihim fala yuminoo hatta yarawoo al'athaba alaleema
Sahih International:
And Moses said, "Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life, our Lord, that they may lead [men] astray from Your way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment."
مَنۡ كَانَ يُرِيۡدُ الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا وَ زِيۡنَتَهَا نُوَفِّ اِلَيۡهِمۡ اَعۡمَالَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا وَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا لَا يُبۡخَسُوۡنَ(هود :15)
Man kana yureedu alhayata alddunya wazeenataha nuwaffi ilayhim a'malahum feeha wahum feeha la yubkhasoona
Sahih International:
Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived.
وَّالۡخَـيۡلَ وَالۡبِغَالَ وَالۡحَمِيۡرَ لِتَرۡكَبُوۡهَا وَزِيۡنَةً ؕ وَيَخۡلُقُ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(النحل :8)
Waalkhayla waalbighala waalhameera litarkabooha wazeenatan wayakhluqu ma la ta'lamoona
Sahih International:
And [He created] the horses, mules and donkeys for you to ride and [as] adornment. And He creates that which you do not know.
اُولٰۤٮِٕكَ لَهُمۡ جَنّٰتُ عَدۡنٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهِمُ الۡاَنۡهٰرُ يُحَلَّوۡنَ فِيۡهَا مِنۡ اَسَاوِرَ مِنۡ ذَهَبٍ وَّ يَلۡبَسُوۡنَ ثِيَابًا خُضۡرًا مِّنۡ سُنۡدُسٍ وَّاِسۡتَبۡرَقٍ مُّتَّكِــِٕيۡنَ فِيۡهَا عَلَى الۡاَرَآٮِٕكِؕ نِعۡمَ الثَّوَابُ ؕ وَحَسُنَتۡ مُرۡتَفَقًا(الكهف :31)
Olaika lahum jannatu 'adnin tajree min tahtihimu alanharu yuhallawna feeha min asawira min thahabin wayalbasoona thiyaban khudran min sundusin waistabraqin muttakieena feeha 'ala alaraiki ni'ma alththawabu wahasunat murtafaqan
Sahih International:
Those will have gardens of perpetual residence; beneath them rivers will flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein on adorned couches. Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place.
اَلۡمَالُ وَ الۡبَـنُوۡنَ زِيۡنَةُ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ۚ وَالۡبٰقِيٰتُ الصّٰلِحٰتُ خَيۡرٌ عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَّخَيۡرٌ اَمَلًا(الكهف :46)
Almalu waalbanoona zeenatu alhayati alddunya waalbaqiyatu alssalihatu khayrun 'inda rabbika thawaban wakhayrun amalan
Sahih International:
Wealth and children are [but] adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one's] hope.
اِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا مَا عَلَى الۡاَرۡضِ زِيۡنَةً لَّهَا لِنَبۡلُوَهُمۡ اَ يُّهُمۡ اَحۡسَنُ عَمَلًا(الكهف :7)
Inna ja'alna ma 'ala alardi zeenatan laha linabluwahum ayyuhum ahsanu 'amalan
Sahih International:
Indeed, We have made that which is on the earth adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed.
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُدۡخِلُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ يُحَلَّوۡنَ فِيۡهَا مِنۡ اَسَاوِرَ مِنۡ ذَهَبٍ وَّلُـؤۡلُـؤًا ؕ وَلِبَاسُهُمۡ فِيۡهَا حَرِيۡرٌ(الحج :23)
Inna Allaha yudkhilu allatheena amanoo wa'amiloo alssalihati jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu yuhallawna feeha min asawira min thahabin waluluan walibasuhum feeha hareerun
Sahih International:
Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.
وَقُلْ لِّـلۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ يَغۡضُضۡنَ مِنۡ اَبۡصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحۡفَظۡنَ فُرُوۡجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبۡدِيۡنَ زِيۡنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَلۡيَـضۡرِبۡنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلٰى جُيُوۡبِهِنَّۖ وَلَا يُبۡدِيۡنَ زِيۡنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا لِبُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اٰبَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ اٰبَآءِ بُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اَبۡنَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ اَبۡنَآءِ بُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اِخۡوَانِهِنَّ اَوۡ بَنِىۡۤ اِخۡوَانِهِنَّ اَوۡ بَنِىۡۤ اَخَوٰتِهِنَّ اَوۡ نِسَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ مَا مَلَـكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُهُنَّ اَوِ التّٰبِعِيۡنَ غَيۡرِ اُولِى الۡاِرۡبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ اَوِ الطِّفۡلِ الَّذِيۡنَ لَمۡ يَظۡهَرُوۡا عَلٰى عَوۡرٰتِ النِّسَآءِۖ وَلَا يَضۡرِبۡنَ بِاَرۡجُلِهِنَّ لِيُـعۡلَمَ مَا يُخۡفِيۡنَ مِنۡ زِيۡنَتِهِنَّ ؕ وَتُوۡبُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ جَمِيۡعًا اَيُّهَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُوۡنَ(النور :31)
Waqul lilmuminati yaghdudna min absarihinna wayahfathna furoojahunna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa ma thahara minha walyadribna bikhumurihinna 'ala juyoobihinna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa libu'oolatihinna aw abaihinna aw abai bu'oolatihinna aw abnaihinna aw abnai bu'oolatihinna aw ikhwanihinna aw banee ikhwanihinna aw banee akhawatihinna aw nisaihinna aw ma malakat aymanuhunna awi alttabi'eena ghayri olee alirbati mina alrrijali awi alttifli allatheena lam yathharoo 'ala 'awrati alnnisai wala yadribna biarjulihinna liyu'lama ma yukhfeena min zeenatihinna watooboo ila Allahi jamee'an ayyuha almuminoona la'allakum tuflihoona
Sahih International:
And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.
وَالۡـقَوَاعِدُ مِنَ النِّسَآءِ الّٰتِىۡ لَا يَرۡجُوۡنَ نِكَاحًا فَلَيۡسَ عَلَيۡهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ اَنۡ يَّضَعۡنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيۡرَ مُتَبَـرِّجٰتٍ ۭ بِزِيۡنَةٍ ؕ وَاَنۡ يَّسۡتَعۡفِفۡنَ خَيۡرٌ لَّهُنَّ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيۡعٌ عَلِيۡمٌ(النور :60)
Waalqawa'idu mina alnnisai allatee la yarjoona nikahan falaysa 'alayhinna junahun an yada'na thiyabahunna ghayra mutabarrijatin bizeenatin waan yasta'fifna khayrun lahunna waAllahu samee'un 'aleemun
Sahih International:
And women of post-menstrual age who have no desire for marriage - there is no blame upon them for putting aside their outer garments [but] not displaying adornment. But to modestly refrain [from that] is better for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
وَمَاۤ اُوۡتِيۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ شَىۡءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا وَزِيۡنَـتُهَا ۚ وَمَا عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ خَيۡرٌ وَّاَبۡقٰى ؕ اَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ(القصص :60)
Wama ooteetum min shayin famata'u alhayati alddunya wazeenatuha wama 'inda Allahi khayrun waabqa afala ta'qiloona
Sahih International:
And whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allah is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?
