Surah [8] Al-Anfal : 70

يٰۤـاَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ قُلْ لِّمَنۡ فِىۡۤ اَيۡدِيۡكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَسۡرٰٓىۙ اِنۡ يَّعۡلَمِ اللّٰهُ فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِكُمۡ خَيۡرًا يُّؤۡتِكُمۡ خَيۡرًا مِّمَّاۤ اُخِذَ مِنۡكُمۡ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَـكُمۡ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ(الأنفال :70)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O!
ٱلنَّبِىُّ
Prophet!
قُل
Say
لِّمَن
to whoever
فِىٓ
(is) in
أَيْدِيكُم
your hands
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْأَسْرَىٰٓ
the captives
إِن
"If
يَعْلَمِ
knows
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
فِى
in
قُلُوبِكُمْ
your hearts
خَيْرًا
any good
يُؤْتِكُمْ
He will give you
خَيْرًا
better
مِّمَّآ
than what
أُخِذَ
was taken
مِنكُمْ
from you
وَيَغْفِرْ
and He will forgive
لَكُمْۗ
you
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
غَفُورٌ
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌ
Most Merciful"

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu qul liman fee aydeekum mina alasra in ya'lami Allahu fee quloobikum khayran yutikum khayran mimma okhitha minkum wayaghfir lakum waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun

Sahih International:

O Prophet, say to whoever is in your hands of the captives, "If Allah knows [any] good in your hearts, He will give you [something] better than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

Surah [8] Al-Anfal : 71

وَاِنۡ يُّرِيۡدُوۡا خِيَانَـتَكَ فَقَدۡ خَانُوا اللّٰهَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ فَاَمۡكَنَ مِنۡهُمۡ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌ حَكِيۡمٌ(الأنفال :71)

وَإِن
But if
يُرِيدُوا۟
they intend
خِيَانَتَكَ
(to) betray you
فَقَدْ
certainly
خَانُوا۟
they have betrayed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
مِن
from
قَبْلُ
before
فَأَمْكَنَ
So He gave (you) power
مِنْهُمْۗ
over them
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
(is) All-Knower
حَكِيمٌ
All-Wise

Wain yureedoo khiyanataka faqad khanoo Allaha min qablu faamkana minhum waAllahu 'aleemun hakeemun

Sahih International:

But if they intend to betray you - then they have already betrayed Allah before, and He empowered [you] over them. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

Surah [12] Yusuf : 100

وَرَفَعَ اَبَوَيۡهِ عَلَى الۡعَرۡشِ وَخَرُّوۡا لَهٗ سُجَّدًا‌ۚ وَقَالَ يٰۤاَبَتِ هٰذَا تَاۡوِيۡلُ رُءۡيَاىَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ قَدۡ جَعَلَهَا رَبِّىۡ حَقًّا‌ؕ وَقَدۡ اَحۡسَنَ بِىۡۤ اِذۡ اَخۡرَجَنِىۡ مِنَ السِّجۡنِ وَجَآءَ بِكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡبَدۡوِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اَنۡ نَّزَغَ الشَّيۡطٰنُ بَيۡنِىۡ وَبَيۡنَ اِخۡوَتِىۡ‌ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّىۡ لَطِيۡفٌ لِّمَا يَشَآءُ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡعَلِيۡمُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ(يوسف :100)

وَرَفَعَ
And he raised
أَبَوَيْهِ
his parents
عَلَى
upon
ٱلْعَرْشِ
the throne
وَخَرُّوا۟
and they fell down
لَهُۥ
to him
سُجَّدًاۖ
prostrate
وَقَالَ
And he said
يَٰٓأَبَتِ
"O my father!
هَٰذَا
This
تَأْوِيلُ
(is the) interpretation
رُءْيَٰىَ
(of) my dream
مِن
(of) before
قَبْلُ
(of) before
قَدْ
Verily
جَعَلَهَا
has made it
رَبِّى
my Lord
حَقًّاۖ
true
وَقَدْ
And indeed
أَحْسَنَ
He was good
بِىٓ
to me
إِذْ
when
أَخْرَجَنِى
He took me out
مِنَ
of
ٱلسِّجْنِ
the prison
وَجَآءَ
and brought
بِكُم
you
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْبَدْوِ
the bedouin life
مِنۢ
after
بَعْدِ
after
أَن
[that]
نَّزَغَ
had caused discord
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the Shaitaan
بَيْنِى
between me
وَبَيْنَ
and between
إِخْوَتِىٓۚ
my brothers
إِنَّ
Indeed
رَبِّى
my Lord
لَطِيفٌ
(is) Most Subtle
لِّمَا
to what
يَشَآءُۚ
He wills
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, He
هُوَ
He
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
(is) the All-Knower
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the All-Wise

Warafa'a abawayhi 'ala al'arshi wakharroo lahu sujjadan waqala ya abati hatha taweelu ruyaya min qablu qad ja'alaha rabbee haqqan waqad ahsana bee ith akhrajanee mina alssijni wajaa bikum mina albadwi min ba'di an nazagha alshshaytanu baynee wabayna ikhwatee inna rabbee lateefun lima yashao innahu huwa al'aleemu alhakeemu

Sahih International:

And he raised his parents upon the throne, and they bowed to him in prostration. And he said, "O my father, this is the explanation of my vision of before. My Lord has made it reality. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you [here] from bedouin life after Satan had induced [estrangement] between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise.

Surah [12] Yusuf : 25

وَاسۡتَبَقَا الۡبَابَ وَقَدَّتۡ قَمِيۡصَهٗ مِنۡ دُبُرٍ وَّاَلۡفَيَا سَيِّدَهَا لَدَا الۡبَابِ‌ؕ قَالَتۡ مَا جَزَآءُ مَنۡ اَرَادَ بِاَهۡلِكَ سُوۡۤءًا اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يُّسۡجَنَ اَوۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ(يوسف :25)

وَٱسْتَبَقَا
And they both raced
ٱلْبَابَ
(to) the door
وَقَدَّتْ
and she tore
قَمِيصَهُۥ
his shirt
مِن
from
دُبُرٍ
the back
وَأَلْفَيَا
and they both found
سَيِّدَهَا
her husband
لَدَا
at
ٱلْبَابِۚ
the door
قَالَتْ
She said
مَا
"What
جَزَآءُ
(is) the recompense
مَنْ
(of one) who
أَرَادَ
intended
بِأَهْلِكَ
for your wife
سُوٓءًا
evil
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
that
يُسْجَنَ
he be imprisoned
أَوْ
or
عَذَابٌ
a punishment
أَلِيمٌ
painful?"

Waistabaqa albaba waqaddat qameesahu min duburin waalfaya sayyidaha lada albabi qalat ma jazao man arada biahlika sooan illa an yusjana aw 'athabun aleemun

Sahih International:

And they both raced to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back, and they found her husband at the door. She said, "What is the recompense of one who intended evil for your wife but that he be imprisoned or a painful punishment?"

Surah [12] Yusuf : 32

قَالَتۡ فَذٰلِكُنَّ الَّذِىۡ لُمۡتُنَّنِىۡ فِيۡهِ‌ؕ وَ لَـقَدۡ رَاوَدْتُّهٗ عَنۡ نَّـفۡسِهٖ فَاسۡتَعۡصَمَ‌ؕ وَلَٮِٕنۡ لَّمۡ يَفۡعَلۡ مَاۤ اٰمُرُهٗ لَـيُسۡجَنَنَّ وَلَيَكُوۡنًا مِّنَ الصّٰغِرِيۡنَ(يوسف :32)

قَالَتْ
She said
فَذَٰلِكُنَّ
"That
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the one
لُمْتُنَّنِى
you blamed me
فِيهِۖ
about him
وَلَقَدْ
And certainly
رَٰوَدتُّهُۥ
I sought to seduce him
عَن
[from]
نَّفْسِهِۦ
[himself]
فَٱسْتَعْصَمَۖ
but he saved himself
وَلَئِن
and if
لَّمْ
not
يَفْعَلْ
he does
مَآ
what
ءَامُرُهُۥ
I order him
لَيُسْجَنَنَّ
surely he will be imprisoned
وَلَيَكُونًا
and certainly will be
مِّنَ
of
ٱلصَّٰغِرِينَ
those who are disgraced

Qalat fathalikunna allathee lumtunnanee feehi walaqad rawadtuhu 'an nafsihi faist'sama walain lam yaf'al ma amuruhu layusjananna walayakoonan mina alssaghireena

Sahih International:

She said, "That is the one about whom you blamed me. And I certainly sought to seduce him, but he firmly refused; and if he will not do what I order him, he will surely be imprisoned and will be of those debased."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 33

قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجۡنُ اَحَبُّ اِلَىَّ مِمَّا يَدۡعُوۡنَنِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِ‌ۚ وَاِلَّا تَصۡرِفۡ عَنِّىۡ كَيۡدَهُنَّ اَصۡبُ اِلَيۡهِنَّ وَاَكُنۡ مِّنَ الۡجٰهِلِيۡنَ‏(يوسف :33)

قَالَ
He said
رَبِّ
"My Lord
ٱلسِّجْنُ
the prison
أَحَبُّ
(is) dearer
إِلَىَّ
to me
مِمَّا
than what
يَدْعُونَنِىٓ
they invite me
إِلَيْهِۖ
to it
وَإِلَّا
And unless
تَصْرِفْ
You turn away
عَنِّى
from me
كَيْدَهُنَّ
their plot
أَصْبُ
I might incline
إِلَيْهِنَّ
towards them
وَأَكُن
and [I] be
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ
the ignorant"

Qala rabbi alssijnu ahabbu ilayya mimma yad'oonanee ilayhi wailla tasrif 'annee kaydahunna asbu ilayhinna waakun mina aljahileena

Sahih International:

He said, "My Lord, prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me. And if You do not avert from me their plan, I might incline toward them and [thus] be of the ignorant."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 35

ثُمَّ بَدَا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا رَاَوُا الۡاٰيٰتِ لَيَسۡجُنُـنَّهٗ حَتّٰى حِيۡنٍ(يوسف :35)

ثُمَّ
Then
بَدَا
(it) appeared
لَهُم
to them
مِّنۢ
after
بَعْدِ
after
مَا
[what]
رَأَوُا۟
they had seen
ٱلْءَايَٰتِ
the signs
لَيَسْجُنُنَّهُۥ
surely they should imprison him
حَتَّىٰ
until
حِينٍ
a time

Thumma bada lahum min ba'di ma raawoo alayati layasjununnahu hatta heenin

Sahih International:

Then it appeared to them after they had seen the signs that al-'Azeez should surely imprison him for a time.

Surah [12] Yusuf : 36

وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ السِّجۡنَ فَتَيٰنِ‌ؕ قَالَ اَحَدُهُمَاۤ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰٮنِىۡۤ اَعۡصِرُ خَمۡرًا‌ ۚ وَقَالَ الۡاٰخَرُ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰٮنِىۡۤ اَحۡمِلُ فَوۡقَ رَاۡسِىۡ خُبۡزًا تَاۡكُلُ الطَّيۡرُ مِنۡهُ‌ ؕ نَبِّئۡنَا بِتَاۡوِيۡلِهٖ ۚ اِنَّا نَرٰٮكَ مِنَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ(يوسف :36)

وَدَخَلَ
And entered
مَعَهُ
with him
ٱلسِّجْنَ
(in) the prison
فَتَيَانِۖ
two young men
قَالَ
Said
أَحَدُهُمَآ
one of them
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
أَرَىٰنِىٓ
[I] see myself
أَعْصِرُ
pressing
خَمْرًاۖ
wine"
وَقَالَ
And said
ٱلْءَاخَرُ
the other
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
أَرَىٰنِىٓ
[I] see myself
أَحْمِلُ
[I am] carrying
فَوْقَ
over
رَأْسِى
my head
خُبْزًا
bread
تَأْكُلُ
(were) eating
ٱلطَّيْرُ
the birds
مِنْهُۖ
from it
نَبِّئْنَا
Inform us
بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦٓۖ
of its interpretation;
إِنَّا
indeed we
نَرَىٰكَ
[we] see you
مِنَ
of
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
the good-doers"

Wadakhala ma'ahu alssijna fatayani qala ahaduhuma innee aranee a'siru khamran waqala alakharu innee aranee ahmilu fawqa rasee khubzan takulu alttayru minhu nabbina bitaweelihi inna naraka mina almuhsineena

Sahih International:

And there entered the prison with him two young men. One of them said, "Indeed, I have seen myself [in a dream] pressing wine." The other said, "Indeed, I have seen myself carrying upon my head [some] bread, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of its interpretation; indeed, we see you to be of those who do good."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 39

يٰصَاحِبَىِ السِّجۡنِ ءَاَرۡبَابٌ مُّتَفَرِّقُوۡنَ خَيۡرٌ اَمِ اللّٰهُ الۡوَاحِدُ الۡقَهَّارُؕ‏(يوسف :39)

يَٰصَىٰحِبَىِ
O my two companions
ٱلسِّجْنِ
(of) the prison!
ءَأَرْبَابٌ
Are lords
مُّتَفَرِّقُونَ
separate
خَيْرٌ
better
أَمِ
or
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
ٱلْوَٰحِدُ
the One
ٱلْقَهَّارُ
the Irresistible?

Ya sahibayi alssijni aarbabun mutafarriqoona khayrun ami Allahu alwahidu alqahharu

Sahih International:

O [my] two companions of prison, are separate lords better or Allah, the One, the Prevailing?

Surah [12] Yusuf : 42

وَقَالَ لِلَّذِىۡ ظَنَّ اَنَّهٗ نَاجٍ مِّنۡهُمَا اذۡكُرۡنِىۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ فَاَنۡسٰٮهُ الشَّيۡطٰنُ ذِكۡرَ رَبِّهٖ فَلَبِثَ فِى السِّجۡنِ بِضۡعَ سِنِيۡنَ(يوسف :42)

وَقَالَ
And he said
لِلَّذِى
to the one whom
ظَنَّ
he thought
أَنَّهُۥ
that he
نَاجٍ
(would be) saved
مِّنْهُمَا
of both of them
ٱذْكُرْنِى
"Mention me
عِندَ
to
رَبِّكَ
your master"
فَأَنسَىٰهُ
But made him forget
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the Shaitaan
ذِكْرَ
(the) mention
رَبِّهِۦ
(to) his master
فَلَبِثَ
so he remained
فِى
in
ٱلسِّجْنِ
the prison
بِضْعَ
several
سِنِينَ
years

Waqala lillathee thanna annahu najin minhuma othkurnee 'inda rabbika faansahu alshshaytanu thikra rabbihi falabitha fee alssijni bid'a sineena

Sahih International:

And he said to the one whom he knew would go free, "Mention me before your master." But Satan made him forget the mention [to] his master, and Joseph remained in prison several years.
