وَاِذَا طَلَّقۡتُمُ النِّسَآءَ فَبَلَغۡنَ اَجَلَهُنَّ فَلَا تَعۡضُلُوۡهُنَّ اَنۡ يَّنۡكِحۡنَ اَزۡوَاجَهُنَّ اِذَا تَرَاضَوۡا بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِؕ ذٰ لِكَ يُوۡعَظُ بِهٖ مَنۡ كَانَ مِنۡكُمۡ يُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِؕ ذٰ لِكُمۡ اَزۡکٰى لَـكُمۡ وَاَطۡهَرُؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(البقرة :232)
Waitha tallaqtumu alnnisaa fabalaghna ajalahunna fala ta'duloohunna an yankihna azwajahunna itha taradaw baynahum bialma'roofi thalika yoo'athu bihi man kana minkum yuminu biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri thalikum azka lakum waatharu waAllahu ya'lamu waantum la ta'lamoona
Sahih International:
And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, do not prevent them from remarrying their [former] husbands if they agree among themselves on an acceptable basis. That is instructed to whoever of you believes in Allah and the Last Day. That is better for you and purer, and Allah knows and you know not.
هٰذَا بَيَانٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَّمَوۡعِظَةٌ لِّلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ(آل عمران :138)
Hatha bayanun lilnnasi wahudan wamaw'ithatun lilmuttaqeena
Sahih International:
This [Qur'an] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allah .
اَلرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُوۡنَ عَلَى النِّسَآءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ بَعۡضَهُمۡ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍ وَّبِمَاۤ اَنۡفَقُوۡا مِنۡ اَمۡوَالِهِمۡ ؕ فَالصّٰلِحٰتُ قٰنِتٰتٌ حٰفِظٰتٌ لِّلۡغَيۡبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللّٰهُ ؕ وَالّٰتِىۡ تَخَافُوۡنَ نُشُوۡزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوۡهُنَّ وَاهۡجُرُوۡهُنَّ فِى الۡمَضَاجِعِ وَاضۡرِبُوۡهُنَّ ۚ فَاِنۡ اَطَعۡنَكُمۡ فَلَا تَبۡغُوۡا عَلَيۡهِنَّ سَبِيۡلًا ؕاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيۡرًا(النساء :34)
Alrrijalu qawwamoona 'ala alnnisai bima faddala Allahu ba'dahum 'ala ba'din wabima anfaqoo min amwalihim faalssalihatu qanitatun hafithatun lilghaybi bima hafitha Allahu waallatee takhafoona nushoozahunna fa'ithoohunna waohjuroohunna fee almadaji'i waidriboohunna fain ata'nakum fala tabghoo 'alayhinna sabeelan inna Allaha kana 'aliyyan kabeeran
Sahih International:
Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.
وَقَفَّيۡنَا عَلٰٓى اٰثَارِهِمۡ بِعِيۡسَى ابۡنِ مَرۡيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ مِنَ التَّوۡرٰٮةِ ۖ وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُ الۡاِنۡجِيۡلَ فِيۡهِ هُدًى وَّنُوۡرٌ ۙ وَّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ مِنَ التَّوۡرٰٮةِ وَهُدًى وَّمَوۡعِظَةً لِّـلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ(المائدة :46)
Waqaffayna 'ala atharihim bi'eesa ibni maryama musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alttawrati waataynahu alinjeela feehi hudan wanoorun wamusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alttawrati wahudan wamaw'ithatan lilmuttaqeena
Sahih International:
And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.
وَكَتَبۡنَا لَهٗ فِى الۡاَلۡوَاحِ مِنۡ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ مَّوۡعِظَةً وَّتَفۡصِيۡلًا لِّـكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ ۚ فَخُذۡهَا بِقُوَّةٍ وَّاۡمُرۡ قَوۡمَكَ يَاۡخُذُوۡا بِاَحۡسَنِهَا ؕ سَاُورِيۡكُمۡ دَارَ الۡفٰسِقِيۡنَ(الأعراف :145)
Wakatabna lahu fee alalwahi min kulli shayin maw'ithatan watafseelan likulli shayin fakhuthha biquwwatin wamur qawmaka yakhuthoo biahsaniha saoreekum dara alfasiqeena
Sahih International:
And We wrote for him on the tablets [something] of all things - instruction and explanation for all things, [saying], "Take them with determination and order your people to take the best of it. I will show you the home of the defiantly disobedient."
يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكُمۡ مَّوۡعِظَةٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ وَشِفَآءٌ لِّمَا فِى الصُّدُوۡرِۙ وَهُدًى وَّرَحۡمَةٌ لِّـلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ(يونس :57)
Ya ayyuha alnnasu qad jaatkum maw'ithatun min rabbikum washifaon lima fee alssudoori wahudan warahmatun lilmumineena
Sahih International:
O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.
وَكُلًّا نَّقُصُّ عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ اَنۡۢبَآءِ الرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهٖ فُؤَادَكَ ۚ وَجَآءَكَ فِىۡ هٰذِهِ الۡحَـقُّ وَمَوۡعِظَةٌ وَّذِكۡرٰى لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ(هود :120)
Wakullan naqussu 'alayka min anbai alrrusuli ma nuthabbitu bihi fuadaka wajaaka fee hathihi alhaqqu wamaw'ithatun wathikra lilmumineena
Sahih International:
And each [story] We relate to you from the news of the messengers is that by which We make firm your heart. And there has come to you, in this, the truth and an instruction and a reminder for the believers.
قَالَ يٰـنُوۡحُ اِنَّهٗ لَـيۡسَ مِنۡ اَهۡلِكَ ۚاِنَّهٗ عَمَلٌ غَيۡرُ صَالِحٍ ۖ فَلَا تَسۡــَٔــلۡنِ مَا لَـيۡسَ لَـكَ بِهٖ عِلۡمٌ ؕ اِنِّىۡۤ اَعِظُكَ اَنۡ تَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡجٰهِلِيۡنَ(هود :46)
Qala ya noohu innahu laysa min ahlika innahu 'amalun ghayru salihin fala tasalni ma laysa laka bihi 'ilmun innee a'ithuka an takoona mina aljahileena
Sahih International:
He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among the ignorant."
اُدۡعُ اِلٰى سَبِيۡلِ رَبِّكَ بِالۡحِكۡمَةِ وَالۡمَوۡعِظَةِ الۡحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلۡهُمۡ بِالَّتِىۡ هِىَ اَحۡسَنُؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنۡ ضَلَّ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِهٖ وَهُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِالۡمُهۡتَدِيۡنَ(النحل :125)
Od'u ila sabeeli rabbika bialhikmati waalmaw'ithati alhasanati wajadilhum biallatee hiya ahsanu inna rabbaka huwa a'lamu biman dalla 'an sabeelihi wahuwa a'lamu bialmuhtadeena
Sahih International:
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.
وَلَقَدۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكُمۡ اٰيٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنٰتٍ وَّمَثَلًا مِّنَ الَّذِيۡنَ خَلَوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَمَوۡعِظَةً لِّـلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ(النور :34)
Walaqad anzalna ilaykum ayatin mubayyinatin wamathalan mina allatheena khalaw min qablikum wamaw'ithatan lilmuttaqeena
Sahih International:
And We have certainly sent down to you distinct verses and examples from those who passed on before you and an admonition for those who fear Allah .
