ضُرِبَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ اَيۡنَ مَا ثُقِفُوۡۤا اِلَّا بِحَبۡلٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَحَبۡلٍ مِّنَ النَّاسِ وَبَآءُوۡ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَضُرِبَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡمَسۡكَنَةُ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ بِاَنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا يَكۡفُرُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَيَقۡتُلُوۡنَ الۡاَنۡۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقٍّؕ ذٰ لِكَ بِمَا عَصَوۡا وَّكَانُوۡا يَعۡتَدُوۡنَ(آل عمران :112)
Duribat 'alayhimu alththillatu ayna ma thuqifoo illa bihablin mina Allahi wahablin mina alnnasi wabaoo bighadabin mina Allahi waduribat 'alayhimu almaskanatu thalika biannahum kanoo yakfuroona biayati Allahi wayaqtuloona alanbiyaa bighayri haqqin thalika bima 'asaw wakanoo ya'tadoona
Sahih International:
They have been put under humiliation [by Allah ] wherever they are overtaken, except for a covenant from Allah and a rope from the Muslims. And they have drawn upon themselves anger from Allah and have been put under destitution. That is because they disbelieved in the verses of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.
وَدُّوۡا لَوۡ تَكۡفُرُوۡنَ كَمَا كَفَرُوۡا فَتَكُوۡنُوۡنَ سَوَآءً فَلَا تَتَّخِذُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ اَوۡلِيَآءَ حَتّٰى يُهَاجِرُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ ؕ فَاِنۡ تَوَلَّوۡا فَخُذُوۡهُمۡ وَاقۡتُلُوۡهُمۡ حَيۡثُ وَجَدتُّمُوۡهُمۡ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ وَلِيًّا وَّلَا نَصِيۡرًا(النساء :89)
Waddoo law takfuroona kama kafaroo fatakoonoona sawaan fala tattakhithoo minhum awliyaa hatta yuhajiroo fee sabeeli Allahi fain tawallaw fakhuthoohum waoqtuloohum haythu wajadtumoohum wala tattakhithoo minhum waliyyan wala naseeran
Sahih International:
They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah . But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.
اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ يَصِلُوۡنَ اِلٰى قَوۡمٍۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَبَيۡنَهُمۡ مِّيۡثَاقٌ اَوۡ جَآءُوۡكُمۡ حَصِرَتۡ صُدُوۡرُهُمۡ اَنۡ يُّقَاتِلُوۡكُمۡ اَوۡ يُقَاتِلُوۡا قَوۡمَهُمۡ ؕ وَلَوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَسَلَّطَهُمۡ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَلَقٰتَلُوۡكُمۡ ۚ فَاِنِ اعۡتَزَلُوۡكُمۡ فَلَمۡ يُقَاتِلُوۡكُمۡ وَاَلۡقَوۡا اِلَيۡكُمُ السَّلَمَ ۙ فَمَا جَعَلَ اللّٰهُ لَـكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَبِيۡلًا(النساء :90)
Illa allatheena yasiloona ila qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun aw jaookum hasirat sudooruhum an yuqatilookum aw yuqatiloo qawmahum walaw shaa Allahu lasallatahum 'alaykum falaqatalookum faini i'tazalookum falam yuqatilookum waalqaw ilaykumu alssalama fama ja'ala Allahu lakum 'alayhim sabeelan
Sahih International:
Except for those who take refuge with a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty or those who come to you, their hearts strained at [the prospect of] fighting you or fighting their own people. And if Allah had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not made for you a cause [for fighting] against them.
وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤۡمِنٍ اَنۡ يَّقۡتُلَ مُؤۡمِنًا اِلَّا خَطَـــًٔا ۚ وَمَنۡ قَتَلَ مُؤۡمِنًا خَطَـــًٔا فَتَحۡرِيۡرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤۡمِنَةٍ وَّدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّصَّدَّقُوۡا ؕ فَاِنۡ كَانَ مِنۡ قَوۡمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَّـكُمۡ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٌ فَتَحۡرِيۡرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤۡمِنَةٍ ؕ وَاِنۡ كَانَ مِنۡ قَوۡمٍۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَبَيۡنَهُمۡ مِّيۡثَاقٌ فَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهٖ وَ تَحۡرِيۡرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤۡمِنَةٍ ۚ فَمَنۡ لَّمۡ يَجِدۡ فَصِيَامُ شَهۡرَيۡنِ مُتَتَابِعَيۡنِ تَوۡبَةً مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمًا حَكِيۡمًا(النساء :92)
Wama kana limuminin an yaqtula muminan illa khataan waman qatala muminan khataan fatahreeru raqabatin muminatin wadiyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi illa an yassaddaqoo fain kana min qawmin 'aduwwin lakum wahuwa muminun fatahreeru raqabatin muminatin wain kana min qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun fadiyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi watahreeru raqabatin muminatin faman lam yajid fasiyamu shahrayni mutatabi'ayni tawbatan mina Allahi wakana Allahu 'aleeman hakeeman
Sahih International:
And never is it for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. And whoever kills a believer by mistake - then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment presented to the deceased's family [is required] unless they give [up their right as] charity. But if the deceased was from a people at war with you and he was a believer - then [only] the freeing of a believing slave; and if he was from a people with whom you have a treaty - then a compensation payment presented to his family and the freeing of a believing slave. And whoever does not find [one or cannot afford to buy one] - then [instead], a fast for two months consecutively, [seeking] acceptance of repentance from Allah . And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
اِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَآبِّ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ(الأنفال :55)
Inna sharra alddawabbi 'inda Allahi allatheena kafaroo fahum la yuminoona
Sahih International:
Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe -
اَلَّذِيۡنَ عَاهَدْتَّ مِنۡهُمۡ ثُمَّ يَنۡقُضُوۡنَ عَهۡدَهُمۡ فِىۡ كُلِّ مَرَّةٍ وَّهُمۡ لَا يَـتَّـقُوۡنَ(الأنفال :56)
Allatheena 'ahadta minhum thumma yanqudoona 'ahdahum fee kulli marratin wahum la yattaqoona
Sahih International:
The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their pledge every time, and they do not fear Allah .
فَاِمَّا تَثۡقَفَنَّهُمۡ فِى الۡحَـرۡبِ فَشَرِّدۡ بِهِمۡ مَّنۡ خَلۡفَهُمۡ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَذَّكَّرُوۡنَ(الأنفال :57)
Faimma tathqafannahum fee alharbi fasharrid bihim man khalfahum la'allahum yaththakkaroona
Sahih International:
So if you, [O Muhammad], gain dominance over them in war, disperse by [means of] them those behind them that perhaps they will be reminded.
وَاِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِنۡ قَوۡمٍ خِيَانَةً فَانْۢبِذۡ اِلَيۡهِمۡ عَلٰى سَوَآءٍ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الۡخَآٮِٕنِيۡنَ(الأنفال :58)
Waimma takhafanna min qawmin khiyanatan fainbith ilayhim 'ala sawain inna Allaha la yuhibbu alkhaineena
Sahih International:
If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like traitors.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَهَاجَرُوۡا وَجَاهَدُوۡا بِاَمۡوَالِهِمۡ وَاَنۡفُسِهِمۡ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰوَوْا وَّنَصَرُوۡۤا اُولٰۤٮِٕكَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ اَوۡلِيَآءُ بَعۡضٍؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَلَمۡ يُهَاجِرُوۡا مَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ وَّلَايَتِهِمۡ مِّنۡ شَىۡءٍ حَتّٰى يُهَاجِرُوۡا ۚ وَاِنِ اسۡتَـنۡصَرُوۡكُمۡ فِى الدِّيۡنِ فَعَلَيۡكُمُ النَّصۡرُ اِلَّا عَلٰى قَوۡمٍۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَبَيۡنَهُمۡ مِّيۡثَاقٌ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِيۡرٌ(الأنفال :72)
Inna allatheena amanoo wahajaroo wajahadoo biamwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahi waallatheena awaw wanasaroo olaika ba'duhum awliyao ba'din waallatheena amanoo walam yuhajiroo ma lakum min walayatihim min shayin hatta yuhajiroo waini istansarookum fee alddeeni fa'alaykumu alnnasru illa 'ala qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun waAllahu bima ta'maloona baseerun
Sahih International:
Indeed, those who have believed and emigrated and fought with their wealth and lives in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - they are allies of one another. But those who believed and did not emigrate - for you there is no guardianship of them until they emigrate. And if they seek help of you for the religion, then you must help, except against a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty. And Allah is Seeing of what you do.
بَرَآءَةٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖۤ اِلَى الَّذِيۡنَ عَاهَدتُّمۡ مِّنَ الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ(التوبة :1)
Baraatun mina Allahi warasoolihi ila allatheena 'ahadtum mina almushrikeena
Sahih International:
[This is a declaration of] disassociation, from Allah and His Messenger, to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists.
