وَّبِكُفۡرِهِمۡ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ عَلٰى مَرۡيَمَ بُهۡتَانًـا عَظِيۡمًا(النساء :156)
Wabikufrihim waqawlihim 'ala maryama buhtanan 'atheeman
Sahih International:
And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander,
وَّقَوۡلِهِمۡ اِنَّا قَتَلۡنَا الۡمَسِيۡحَ عِيۡسَى ابۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ رَسُوۡلَ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوۡهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوۡهُ وَلٰـكِنۡ شُبِّهَ لَهُمۡ ؕ وَاِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اخۡتَلَـفُوۡا فِيۡهِ لَفِىۡ شَكٍّ مِّنۡهُ ؕ مَا لَهُمۡ بِهٖ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ اِلَّا اتِّبَاعَ الظَّنِّ ۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوۡهُ يَقِيۡنًا(النساء :157)
Waqawlihim inna qatalna almaseeha 'eesa ibna maryama rasoola Allahi wama qataloohu wama salaboohu walakin shubbiha lahum wainna allatheena ikhtalafoo feehi lafee shakkin minhu ma lahum bihi min 'ilmin illa ittiba'a alththanni wama qataloohu yaqeenan
Sahih International:
And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.
وَاِنۡ تُطِعۡ اَكۡثَرَ مَنۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ يُضِلُّوۡكَ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِؕ اِنۡ يَّتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنۡ هُمۡ اِلَّا يَخۡرُصُوۡنَ(الأنعام :116)
Wain tuti' akthara man fee alardi yudillooka 'an sabeeli Allahi in yattabi'oona illa alththanna wain hum illa yakhrusoona
Sahih International:
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah . They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.
سَيَـقُوۡلُ الَّذِيۡنَ اَشۡرَكُوۡا لَوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ مَاۤ اَشۡرَكۡنَا وَلَاۤ اٰبَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمۡنَا مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ حَتّٰى ذَاقُوۡا بَاۡسَنَا ؕ قُلۡ هَلۡ عِنۡدَكُمۡ مِّنۡ عِلۡمٍ فَتُخۡرِجُوۡهُ لَـنَا ؕ اِنۡ تَتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنۡ اَنۡـتُمۡ اِلَّا تَخۡرُصُوۡنَ(الأنعام :148)
Sayaqoolu allatheena ashrakoo law shaa Allahu ma ashrakna wala abaona wala harramna min shayin kathalika kaththaba allatheena min qablihim hatta thaqoo basana qul hal 'indakum min 'ilmin fatukhrijoohu lana in tattabi'oona illa alththanna wain antum illa takhrusoona
Sahih International:
Those who associated with Allah will say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but falsifying."
وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ اِلَّا ظَنًّا ؕاِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغۡنِىۡ مِنَ الۡحَـقِّ شَيۡــًٔا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِمَا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ(يونس :36)
Wama yattabi'u aktharuhum illa thannan inna alththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqi shayan inna Allaha 'aleemun bima yaf'aloona
Sahih International:
And most of them follow not except assumption. Indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do.
اَلَاۤ اِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَنۡ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَنۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِؕ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ الَّذِيۡنَ يَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ شُرَكَآءَ ؕ اِنۡ يَّتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنۡ هُمۡ اِلَّا يَخۡرُصُوۡنَ(يونس :66)
Ala inna lillahi man fee alssamawati waman fee alardi wama yattabi'u allatheena yad'oona min dooni Allahi shurakaa in yattabi'oona illa alththanna wain hum illa yakhrusoona
Sahih International:
Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth. And those who invoke other than Allah do not [actually] follow [His] "partners." They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying
وَقَالُوۡا لَوۡ شَآءَ الرَّحۡمٰنُ مَا عَبَدۡنٰهُمۡؕ مَا لَهُمۡ بِذٰلِكَ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ اِنۡ هُمۡ اِلَّا يَخۡرُصُوۡنَؕ(الزخرف :20)
Waqaloo law shaa alrrahmanu ma 'abadnahum ma lahum bithalika min 'ilmin in hum illa yakhrusoona
Sahih International:
And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but falsifying.
وَقَالُوۡا مَا هِىَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنۡيَا نَمُوۡتُ وَنَحۡيَا وَمَا يُهۡلِكُنَاۤ اِلَّا الدَّهۡرُؕ وَمَا لَهُمۡ بِذٰلِكَ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ ۚ اِنۡ هُمۡ اِلَّا يَظُنُّوۡنَ(الجاثية :24)
Waqaloo ma hiya illa hayatuna alddunya namootu wanahya wama yuhlikuna illa alddahru wama lahum bithalika min 'ilmin in hum illa yathunnoona
Sahih International:
And they say, "There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time." And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming.
وَاَمَّا الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اَفَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ اٰيٰتِىۡ تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَاسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡ وَكُنۡتُمۡ قَوۡمًا مُّجۡرِمِيۡنَ(الجاثية :31)
Waamma allatheena kafaroo afalam takun ayatee tutla 'alaykum faistakbartum wakuntum qawman mujrimeena
Sahih International:
But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not Our verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a people of criminals?
وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ اِنَّ وَعۡدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ وَّالسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيۡهَا قُلۡتُمۡ مَّا نَدۡرِىۡ مَا السَّاعَةُ ۙ اِنۡ نَّـظُنُّ اِلَّا ظَنًّا وَّمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُسۡتَيۡقِنِيۡنَ(الجاثية :32)
Waitha qeela inna wa'da Allahi haqqun waalssa'atu la rayba feeha qultum ma nadree ma alssa'atu in nathunnu illa thannan wama nahnu bimustayqineena
Sahih International:
And when it was said, 'Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth and the Hour [is coming] - no doubt about it,' you said, 'We know not what is the Hour. We assume only assumption, and we are not convinced.' "
