Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 228

وَالۡمُطَلَّقٰتُ يَتَرَ بَّصۡنَ بِاَنۡفُسِهِنَّ ثَلٰثَةَ قُرُوۡٓءٍ ‌ؕ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ اَنۡ يَّكۡتُمۡنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ فِىۡٓ اَرۡحَامِهِنَّ اِنۡ كُنَّ يُؤۡمِنَّ بِاللّٰهِ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ‌ؕ وَبُعُوۡلَتُهُنَّ اَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰ لِكَ اِنۡ اَرَادُوۡٓا اِصۡلَاحًا ‌ؕ وَلَهُنَّ مِثۡلُ الَّذِىۡ عَلَيۡهِنَّ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ‌ ۖ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيۡهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ ‌ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَزِيۡزٌ حَكِيۡمٌ(البقرة :228)

وَٱلْمُطَلَّقَٰتُ
And the women who are divorced
يَتَرَبَّصْنَ
shall wait
بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ
concerning themselves
ثَلَٰثَةَ
(for) three
قُرُوٓءٍۚ
monthly periods
وَلَا
And (it is) not
يَحِلُّ
lawful
لَهُنَّ
for them
أَن
that
يَكْتُمْنَ
they conceal
مَا
what
خَلَقَ
(has been) created
ٱللَّهُ
(by) Allah
فِىٓ
in
أَرْحَامِهِنَّ
their wombs
إِن
if
كُنَّ
they
يُؤْمِنَّ
believe
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَٱلْيَوْمِ
and the Day
ٱلْءَاخِرِۚ
[the] Last
وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ
And their husbands
أَحَقُّ
(have) better right
بِرَدِّهِنَّ
to take them back
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
that (period)
إِنْ
if
أَرَادُوٓا۟
they wish
إِصْلَٰحًاۚ
(for) reconciliation
وَلَهُنَّ
And for them (wives)
مِثْلُ
(is the) like
ٱلَّذِى
(of) that which
عَلَيْهِنَّ
(is) on them
بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِۚ
in a reasonable manner
وَلِلرِّجَالِ
and for the men
عَلَيْهِنَّ
over them (wives)
دَرَجَةٌۗ
(is) a degree
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
عَزِيزٌ
(is) All-Mighty
حَكِيمٌ
All-Wise

Waalmutallaqatu yatarabbasna bianfusihinna thalathata qurooin wala yahillu lahunna an yaktumna ma khalaqa Allahu fee arhamihinna in kunna yuminna biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri wabu'oolatuhunna ahaqqu biraddihinna fee thalika in aradoo islahan walahunna mithlu allathee 'alayhinna bialma'roofi walilrrijali 'alayhinna darajatun waAllahu 'azeezun hakeemun

Sahih International:

Divorced women remain in waiting for three periods, and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have more right to take them back in this [period] if they want reconciliation. And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. But the men have a degree over them [in responsibility and authority]. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

Surah [3] Ali Imran : 35

اِذۡ قَالَتِ امۡرَاَتُ عِمۡرٰنَ رَبِّ اِنِّىۡ نَذَرۡتُ لَـكَ مَا فِىۡ بَطۡنِىۡ مُحَرَّرًا فَتَقَبَّلۡ مِنِّىۡ ۚ اِنَّكَ اَنۡتَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ‌(آل عمران :35)

إِذْ
When
قَالَتِ
[she] said
ٱمْرَأَتُ
(the) wife
عِمْرَٰنَ
(of) Imran
رَبِّ
"My Lord!
إِنِّى
Indeed I
نَذَرْتُ
[I] vowed
لَكَ
to You
مَا
what
فِى
(is) in
بَطْنِى
my womb
مُحَرَّرًا
dedicated
فَتَقَبَّلْ
so accept
مِنِّىٓۖ
from me
إِنَّكَ
Indeed You
أَنتَ
You
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
(are) the All-Hearing
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
the All-Knowing

Ith qalati imraatu 'imrana rabbi innee nathartu laka ma fee batnee muharraran fataqabbal minnee innaka anta alssamee'u al'aleemu

Sahih International:

[Mention, O Muhammad], when the wife of 'Imran said, "My Lord, indeed I have pledged to You what is in my womb, consecrated [for Your service], so accept this from me. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing."

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [3] Ali Imran : 6

هُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُصَوِّرُكُمۡ فِى الۡاَرۡحَامِ كَيۡفَ يَشَآءُ ‌ؕ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ (آل عمران :6)

هُوَ
He
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
يُصَوِّرُكُمْ
shapes you
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْحَامِ
the wombs
كَيْفَ
how(ever)
يَشَآءُۚ
He wills
لَآ
(There is) no
إِلَٰهَ
god
إِلَّا
except
هُوَ
Him
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the All-Wise

Huwa allathee yusawwirukum fee alarhami kayfa yashao la ilaha illa huwa al'azeezu alhakeemu

Sahih International:

It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [6] Al-An'am : 139

وَقَالُوۡا مَا فِىۡ بُطُوۡنِ هٰذِهِ الۡاَنۡعَامِ خَالِصَةٌ لِّذُكُوۡرِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلٰٓى اَزۡوَاجِنَا ‌ۚ وَاِنۡ يَّكُنۡ مَّيۡتَةً فَهُمۡ فِيۡهِ شُرَكَآءُ ‌ؕ سَيَجۡزِيۡهِمۡ وَصۡفَهُمۡ‌ ؕ اِنَّهٗ حَكِيۡمٌ عَلِيۡمٌ(الأنعام :139)

وَقَالُوا۟
And they say
مَا
"What
فِى
(is) in
بُطُونِ
(the) wombs
هَٰذِهِ
(of) these
ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
cattle
خَالِصَةٌ
(is) exclusively
لِّذُكُورِنَا
for our males
وَمُحَرَّمٌ
and forbidden
عَلَىٰٓ
on
أَزْوَٰجِنَاۖ
our spouses
وَإِن
But if
يَكُن
is
مَّيْتَةً
(born) dead
فَهُمْ
then they (all)
فِيهِ
in it"
شُرَكَآءُۚ
(are) partners"
سَيَجْزِيهِمْ
He will recompense them
وَصْفَهُمْۚ
(for) their attribution
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, He
حَكِيمٌ
(is) All-Wise
عَلِيمٌ
All-Knowing

Waqaloo ma fee butooni hathihi alan'ami khalisatun lithukoorina wamuharramun 'ala azwajina wain yakun maytatan fahum feehi shurakao sayajzeehim wasfahum innahu hakeemun 'aleemun

Sahih International:

And they say, "What is in the bellies of these animals is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them have shares therein." He will punish them for their description. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing.

Surah [6] Al-An'am : 143

ثَمٰنِيَةَ اَزۡوَاجٍ‌ ۚ مِنَ الضَّاۡنِ اثۡنَيۡنِ وَمِنَ الۡمَعۡزِ اثۡنَيۡنِ‌ ؕ قُلۡ ءٰٓالذَّكَرَيۡنِ حَرَّمَ اَمِ الۡاُنۡثَيَيۡنِ اَمَّا اشۡتَمَلَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ اَرۡحَامُ الۡاُنۡثَيَيۡنِ‌ ؕ نَـبِّــُٔــوۡنِىۡ بِعِلۡمٍ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ(الأنعام :143)

ثَمَٰنِيَةَ
Eight
أَزْوَٰجٍۖ
pairs
مِّنَ
of
ٱلضَّأْنِ
the sheep
ٱثْنَيْنِ
two
وَمِنَ
and of
ٱلْمَعْزِ
the goats
ٱثْنَيْنِۗ
two
قُلْ
Say
ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ
"(Are) the two males
حَرَّمَ
He has forbidden
أَمِ
or
ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ
the two females
أَمَّا
or what
ٱشْتَمَلَتْ
contains
عَلَيْهِ
[in it]
أَرْحَامُ
(the) wombs
ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِۖ
(of) the two females?
نَبِّـُٔونِى
Inform me
بِعِلْمٍ
with knowledge
إِن
if
كُنتُمْ
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
truthful"

Thamaniyata azwajin mina alddani ithnayni wamina alma'zi ithnayni qul alththakarayni harrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat 'alayhi arhamu alonthayayni nabbioonee bi'ilmin in kuntum sadiqeena

Sahih International:

[They are] eight mates - of the sheep, two and of the goats, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge, if you should be truthful."

Surah [6] Al-An'am : 144

وَمِنَ الۡاِبِلِ اثۡنَيۡنِ وَمِنَ الۡبَقَرِ اثۡنَيۡنِ‌ ؕ قُلۡ ءٰٓالذَّكَرَيۡنِ حَرَّمَ اَمِ الۡاُنۡثَيَيۡنِ اَمَّا اشۡتَمَلَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ اَرۡحَامُ الۡاُنۡثَيَيۡنِ‌ ؕ اَمۡ كُنۡتُمۡ شُهَدَآءَ اِذۡ وَصّٰٮكُمُ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا‌ ۚ فَمَنۡ اَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ افۡتَـرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا لِّيُضِلَّ النَّاسَ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٍ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهۡدِى الۡقَوۡمَ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ(الأنعام :144)

وَمِنَ
And of
ٱلْإِبِلِ
the camels
ٱثْنَيْنِ
two
وَمِنَ
and of
ٱلْبَقَرِ
the cows
ٱثْنَيْنِۗ
two
قُلْ
Say
ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ
"(Is it) the two males
حَرَّمَ
He (has) forbidden
أَمِ
or
ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ
the two females
أَمَّا
or what
ٱشْتَمَلَتْ
contains
عَلَيْهِ
[in it]
أَرْحَامُ
(the) wombs
ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِۖ
(of) the two females?
أَمْ
Or
كُنتُمْ
were you
شُهَدَآءَ
witnesses
إِذْ
when
وَصَّىٰكُمُ
enjoined you
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
بِهَٰذَاۚ
with this?
فَمَنْ
Then who
أَظْلَمُ
(is) more unjust
مِمَّنِ
than (one) who
ٱفْتَرَىٰ
invents
عَلَى
against
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
كَذِبًا
a lie
لِّيُضِلَّ
to mislead
ٱلنَّاسَ
the people
بِغَيْرِ
without
عِلْمٍۗ
knowledge?
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهْدِى
guide
ٱلْقَوْمَ
the people"
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoing"

Wamina alibili ithnayni wamina albaqari ithnayni qul alththakarayni harrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat 'alayhi arhamu alonthayayni am kuntum shuhadaa ith wassakumu Allahu bihatha faman athlamu mimmani iftara 'ala Allahi kathiban liyudilla alnnasa bighayri 'ilmin inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena

Sahih International:

And of the camels, two and of the cattle, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah charged you with this? Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah to mislead the people by [something] other than knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people."

Surah [13] Ar-Ra'd : 8

اَللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَحۡمِلُ كُلُّ اُنۡثٰى وَمَا تَغِيۡضُ الۡاَرۡحَامُ وَمَا تَزۡدَادُ ‌ؕ وَكُلُّ شَىۡءٍ عِنۡدَهٗ بِمِقۡدَارٍ‏(الرعد :8)

ٱللَّهُ
Allah
يَعْلَمُ
knows
مَا
what
تَحْمِلُ
carries
كُلُّ
every
أُنثَىٰ
female
وَمَا
and what
تَغِيضُ
fall short
ٱلْأَرْحَامُ
the womb
وَمَا
and what
تَزْدَادُۖ
they exceed
وَكُلُّ
And every
شَىْءٍ
thing
عِندَهُۥ
with Him
بِمِقْدَارٍ
(is) in due proportion

Allahu ya'lamu ma tahmilu kullu ontha wama tagheedu alarhamu wama tazdadu wakullu shayin 'indahu bimiqdarin

Sahih International:

Allah knows what every female carries and what the wombs lose [prematurely] or exceed. And everything with Him is by due measure.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [16] An-Nahl : 78

وَاللّٰهُ اَخۡرَجَكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بُطُوۡنِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ شَيۡـــًٔا ۙ وَّ جَعَلَ لَـكُمُ السَّمۡعَ وَالۡاَبۡصٰرَ وَالۡاَفۡـِٕدَةَ‌ ۙ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ(النحل :78)

وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
أَخْرَجَكُم
brought you forth
مِّنۢ
from
بُطُونِ
the wombs
أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ
(of) your mothers
لَا
not
تَعْلَمُونَ
knowing
شَيْـًٔا
anything
وَجَعَلَ
and made
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلسَّمْعَ
the hearing
وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ
and the sight
وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَۙ
and the hearts
لَعَلَّكُمْ
so that you may
تَشْكُرُونَ
give thanks

WaAllahu akhrajakum min butooni ommahatikum la ta'lamoona shayan waja'ala lakumu alssam'a waalabsara waalafidata la'allakum tashkuroona

Sahih International:

And Allah has extracted you from the wombs of your mothers not knowing a thing, and He made for you hearing and vision and intellect that perhaps you would be grateful.

Surah [22] Al-Hajj : 2

يَوۡمَ تَرَوۡنَهَا تَذۡهَلُ كُلُّ مُرۡضِعَةٍ عَمَّاۤ اَرۡضَعَتۡ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمۡلٍ حَمۡلَهَا وَتَرَى النَّاسَ سُكٰرٰى وَمَا هُمۡ بِسُكٰرٰى وَلٰـكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللّٰهِ شَدِيۡدٌ‏(الحج :2)

يَوْمَ
(The) Day
تَرَوْنَهَا
you will see it
تَذْهَلُ
will forget
كُلُّ
every
مُرْضِعَةٍ
nursing mother
عَمَّآ
that which
أَرْضَعَتْ
she was nursing
وَتَضَعُ
and will deliver
كُلُّ
every
ذَاتِ
pregnant woman
حَمْلٍ
pregnant woman
حَمْلَهَا
her load
وَتَرَى
and you will see
ٱلنَّاسَ
[the] mankind
سُكَٰرَىٰ
intoxicated
وَمَا
while not
هُم
they
بِسُكَٰرَىٰ
(are) intoxicated
وَلَٰكِنَّ
but
عَذَابَ
(the) punishment
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
شَدِيدٌ
(will be) severe

Yawma tarawnaha tathhalu kullu murdi'atin 'amma arda'at watada'u kullu thati hamlin hamlaha watara alnnasa sukara wama hum bisukara walakinna 'athaba Allahi shadeedun

Sahih International:

On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.

Surah [22] Al-Hajj : 5

يٰۤـاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اِنۡ كُنۡـتُمۡ فِىۡ رَيۡبٍ مِّنَ الۡبَـعۡثِ فَاِنَّـا خَلَقۡنٰكُمۡ مِّنۡ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنۡ نُّـطۡفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنۡ مُّضۡغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَّغَيۡرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِّـنُبَيِّنَ لَـكُمۡ‌ ؕ وَنُقِرُّ فِى الۡاَرۡحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوۡۤا اَشُدَّكُمۡ ‌ۚ وَمِنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ يُّتَوَفّٰى وَمِنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ يُّرَدُّ اِلٰٓى اَرۡذَلِ الۡعُمُرِ لِكَيۡلَا يَعۡلَمَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ عِلۡمٍ شَيۡــًٔـا‌ ؕ وَتَرَى الۡاَرۡضَ هَامِدَةً فَاِذَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا الۡمَآءَ اهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡ وَاَنۡۢبَـتَتۡ مِنۡ كُلِّ زَوۡجٍۢ بَهِيۡجٍ(الحج :5)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O mankind!
ٱلنَّاسُ
O mankind!
إِن
If
كُنتُمْ
you are
فِى
in
رَيْبٍ
doubt
مِّنَ
about
ٱلْبَعْثِ
the Resurrection
فَإِنَّا
then indeed, We
خَلَقْنَٰكُم
We created you
مِّن
from
تُرَابٍ
dust
ثُمَّ
then
مِن
from
نُّطْفَةٍ
a semen-drop
ثُمَّ
then
مِنْ
from
عَلَقَةٍ
a clinging substance
ثُمَّ
then
مِن
from
مُّضْغَةٍ
an embryonic lump
مُّخَلَّقَةٍ
formed
وَغَيْرِ
and unformed
مُخَلَّقَةٍ
and unformed
لِّنُبَيِّنَ
that We may make clear
لَكُمْۚ
to you
وَنُقِرُّ
And We cause to remain
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْحَامِ
the wombs
مَا
what
نَشَآءُ
We will
إِلَىٰٓ
for
أَجَلٍ
a term
مُّسَمًّى
appointed
ثُمَّ
then
نُخْرِجُكُمْ
We bring you out
طِفْلًا
(as) a child
ثُمَّ
[then]
لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟
that you may reach
أَشُدَّكُمْۖ
[your] maturity
وَمِنكُم
And among you
مَّن
(is he) who
يُتَوَفَّىٰ
dies
وَمِنكُم
and among you
مَّن
(is he) who
يُرَدُّ
is returned
إِلَىٰٓ
to
أَرْذَلِ
the most abject
ٱلْعُمُرِ
age
لِكَيْلَا
so that not
يَعْلَمَ
he knows
مِنۢ
after
بَعْدِ
after
عِلْمٍ
having known
شَيْـًٔاۚ
anything
وَتَرَى
And you see
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the earth
هَامِدَةً
barren
فَإِذَآ
then when
أَنزَلْنَا
We send down
عَلَيْهَا
on it
ٱلْمَآءَ
water
ٱهْتَزَّتْ
it gets stirred
وَرَبَتْ
and it swells
وَأَنۢبَتَتْ
and grows
مِن
of
كُلِّ
every
زَوْجٍۭ
kind
بَهِيجٍ
beautiful

Ya ayyuha alnnasu in kuntum fee raybin mina alba'thi fainna khalaqnakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma min 'alaqatin thumma min mudghatin mukhallaqatin waghayri mukhallaqatin linubayyina lakum wanuqirru fee alarhami ma nashao ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum tiflan thumma litablughoo ashuddakum waminkum man yutawaffa waminkum man yuraddu ila arthali al'umuri likayla ya'lama min ba'di 'ilmin shayan watara alarda hamidatan faitha anzalna 'alayha almaa ihtazzat warabat waanbatat min kulli zawjin baheejin

Sahih International:

O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.
