Surah [8] Al-Anfal : 43

اِذۡ يُرِيۡكَهُمُ اللّٰهُ فِىۡ مَنَامِكَ قَلِيۡلًا ؕ وَّلَوۡ اَرٰٮكَهُمۡ كَثِيۡرًا لَّـفَشِلۡـتُمۡ وَلَـتَـنَازَعۡتُمۡ فِى الۡاَمۡرِ وَلٰـكِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَلَّمَ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوۡرِ(الأنفال :43)

إِذْ
When
يُرِيكَهُمُ
you (where) shown them
ٱللَّهُ
(by) Allah
فِى
in
مَنَامِكَ
your dream
قَلِيلًاۖ
(as) few
وَلَوْ
and if
أَرَىٰكَهُمْ
He had shown them to you
كَثِيرًا
(as) many
لَّفَشِلْتُمْ
surely you would have lost courage
وَلَتَنَٰزَعْتُمْ
and surely you would have disputed
فِى
in
ٱلْأَمْرِ
the matter
وَلَٰكِنَّ
but
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
سَلَّمَۗ
saved (you)
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, He
عَلِيمٌۢ
(is) All-Knower
بِذَاتِ
of what is in
ٱلصُّدُورِ
the breasts

Ith yureekahumu Allahu fee manamika qaleelan walaw arakahum katheeran lafashiltum walatanaza'tum fee alamri walakinna Allaha sallama innahu 'aleemun bithati alssudoori

Sahih International:

[Remember, O Muhammad], when Allah showed them to you in your dream as few; and if He had shown them to you as many, you [believers] would have lost courage and would have disputed in the matter [of whether to fight], but Allah saved [you from that]. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

Surah [12] Yusuf : 100

وَرَفَعَ اَبَوَيۡهِ عَلَى الۡعَرۡشِ وَخَرُّوۡا لَهٗ سُجَّدًا‌ۚ وَقَالَ يٰۤاَبَتِ هٰذَا تَاۡوِيۡلُ رُءۡيَاىَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ قَدۡ جَعَلَهَا رَبِّىۡ حَقًّا‌ؕ وَقَدۡ اَحۡسَنَ بِىۡۤ اِذۡ اَخۡرَجَنِىۡ مِنَ السِّجۡنِ وَجَآءَ بِكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡبَدۡوِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اَنۡ نَّزَغَ الشَّيۡطٰنُ بَيۡنِىۡ وَبَيۡنَ اِخۡوَتِىۡ‌ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّىۡ لَطِيۡفٌ لِّمَا يَشَآءُ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡعَلِيۡمُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ(يوسف :100)

وَرَفَعَ
And he raised
أَبَوَيْهِ
his parents
عَلَى
upon
ٱلْعَرْشِ
the throne
وَخَرُّوا۟
and they fell down
لَهُۥ
to him
سُجَّدًاۖ
prostrate
وَقَالَ
And he said
يَٰٓأَبَتِ
"O my father!
هَٰذَا
This
تَأْوِيلُ
(is the) interpretation
رُءْيَٰىَ
(of) my dream
مِن
(of) before
قَبْلُ
(of) before
قَدْ
Verily
جَعَلَهَا
has made it
رَبِّى
my Lord
حَقًّاۖ
true
وَقَدْ
And indeed
أَحْسَنَ
He was good
بِىٓ
to me
إِذْ
when
أَخْرَجَنِى
He took me out
مِنَ
of
ٱلسِّجْنِ
the prison
وَجَآءَ
and brought
بِكُم
you
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْبَدْوِ
the bedouin life
مِنۢ
after
بَعْدِ
after
أَن
[that]
نَّزَغَ
had caused discord
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the Shaitaan
بَيْنِى
between me
وَبَيْنَ
and between
إِخْوَتِىٓۚ
my brothers
إِنَّ
Indeed
رَبِّى
my Lord
لَطِيفٌ
(is) Most Subtle
لِّمَا
to what
يَشَآءُۚ
He wills
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, He
هُوَ
He
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
(is) the All-Knower
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the All-Wise

Warafa'a abawayhi 'ala al'arshi wakharroo lahu sujjadan waqala ya abati hatha taweelu ruyaya min qablu qad ja'alaha rabbee haqqan waqad ahsana bee ith akhrajanee mina alssijni wajaa bikum mina albadwi min ba'di an nazagha alshshaytanu baynee wabayna ikhwatee inna rabbee lateefun lima yashao innahu huwa al'aleemu alhakeemu

Sahih International:

And he raised his parents upon the throne, and they bowed to him in prostration. And he said, "O my father, this is the explanation of my vision of before. My Lord has made it reality. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you [here] from bedouin life after Satan had induced [estrangement] between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise.

Surah [12] Yusuf : 36

وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ السِّجۡنَ فَتَيٰنِ‌ؕ قَالَ اَحَدُهُمَاۤ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰٮنِىۡۤ اَعۡصِرُ خَمۡرًا‌ ۚ وَقَالَ الۡاٰخَرُ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰٮنِىۡۤ اَحۡمِلُ فَوۡقَ رَاۡسِىۡ خُبۡزًا تَاۡكُلُ الطَّيۡرُ مِنۡهُ‌ ؕ نَبِّئۡنَا بِتَاۡوِيۡلِهٖ ۚ اِنَّا نَرٰٮكَ مِنَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ(يوسف :36)

وَدَخَلَ
And entered
مَعَهُ
with him
ٱلسِّجْنَ
(in) the prison
فَتَيَانِۖ
two young men
قَالَ
Said
أَحَدُهُمَآ
one of them
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
أَرَىٰنِىٓ
[I] see myself
أَعْصِرُ
pressing
خَمْرًاۖ
wine"
وَقَالَ
And said
ٱلْءَاخَرُ
the other
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
أَرَىٰنِىٓ
[I] see myself
أَحْمِلُ
[I am] carrying
فَوْقَ
over
رَأْسِى
my head
خُبْزًا
bread
تَأْكُلُ
(were) eating
ٱلطَّيْرُ
the birds
مِنْهُۖ
from it
نَبِّئْنَا
Inform us
بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦٓۖ
of its interpretation;
إِنَّا
indeed we
نَرَىٰكَ
[we] see you
مِنَ
of
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
the good-doers"

Wadakhala ma'ahu alssijna fatayani qala ahaduhuma innee aranee a'siru khamran waqala alakharu innee aranee ahmilu fawqa rasee khubzan takulu alttayru minhu nabbina bitaweelihi inna naraka mina almuhsineena

Sahih International:

And there entered the prison with him two young men. One of them said, "Indeed, I have seen myself [in a dream] pressing wine." The other said, "Indeed, I have seen myself carrying upon my head [some] bread, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of its interpretation; indeed, we see you to be of those who do good."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 4

اِذۡ قَالَ يُوۡسُفُ لِاَبِيۡهِ يٰۤاَبَتِ اِنِّىۡ رَاَيۡتُ اَحَدَ عَشَرَ كَوۡكَبًا وَّالشَّمۡسَ وَالۡقَمَرَ رَاَيۡتُهُمۡ لِىۡ سٰجِدِيۡنَ‏(يوسف :4)

إِذْ
When
قَالَ
said
يُوسُفُ
Yusuf
لِأَبِيهِ
to his father
يَٰٓأَبَتِ
"O my father!
إِنِّى
Indeed, I
رَأَيْتُ
I saw
أَحَدَ
eleven
عَشَرَ
eleven
كَوْكَبًا
star(s)
وَٱلشَّمْسَ
and the sun
وَٱلْقَمَرَ
and the moon
رَأَيْتُهُمْ
I saw them
لِى
to me
سَٰجِدِينَ
prostrating"

Ith qala yoosufu liabeehi ya abati innee raaytu ahada 'ashara kawkaban waalshshamsa waalqamara raaytuhum lee sajideena

Sahih International:

[Of these stories mention] when Joseph said to his father, "O my father, indeed I have seen [in a dream] eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 43

وَقَالَ الۡمَلِكُ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰى سَبۡعَ بَقَرٰتٍ سِمَانٍ يَّاۡكُلُهُنَّ سَبۡعٌ عِجَافٌ وَّسَبۡعَ سُنۡۢبُلٰتٍ خُضۡرٍ وَّاُخَرَ يٰبِسٰتٍ‌ؕ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡمَلَاُ اَفۡتُوۡنِىۡ فِىۡ رُءۡيَاىَ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ لِلرُّءۡيَا تَعۡبُرُوۡنَ‏(يوسف :43)

وَقَالَ
And said
ٱلْمَلِكُ
the king
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
أَرَىٰ
[I] have seen
سَبْعَ
seven
بَقَرَٰتٍ
cows
سِمَانٍ
fat
يَأْكُلُهُنَّ
eating them
سَبْعٌ
seven
عِجَافٌ
lean ones
وَسَبْعَ
and seven
سُنۢبُلَٰتٍ
ears (of corn)
خُضْرٍ
green
وَأُخَرَ
and other
يَابِسَٰتٍۖ
dry
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O
ٱلْمَلَأُ
chiefs!
أَفْتُونِى
Explain to me
فِى
about
رُءْيَٰىَ
my vision
إِن
if
كُنتُمْ
you can
لِلرُّءْيَا
of visions
تَعْبُرُونَ
interpret"

Waqala almaliku innee ara sab'a baqaratin simanin yakuluhunna sab'un 'ijafun wasab'a sunbulatin khudrin waokhara yabisatin ya ayyuha almalao aftoonee fee ruyaya in kuntum lilrruya ta'buroona

Sahih International:

And [subsequently] the king said, "Indeed, I have seen [in a dream] seven fat cows being eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry. O eminent ones, explain to me my vision, if you should interpret visions."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 44

قَالُوۡۤا اَضۡغَاثُ اَحۡلَامٍۚ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِتَاۡوِيۡلِ الۡاَحۡلَامِ بِعٰلِمِيۡنَ(يوسف :44)

قَالُوٓا۟
They said
أَضْغَٰثُ
"Confused
أَحْلَٰمٍۖ
dreams
وَمَا
and not
نَحْنُ
we
بِتَأْوِيلِ
(are) in the interpretation
ٱلْأَحْلَٰمِ
(of) the dreams
بِعَٰلِمِينَ
learned"

Qaloo adghathu ahlamin wama nahnu bitaweeli alahlami bi'alimeena

Sahih International:

They said, "[It is but] a mixture of false dreams, and we are not learned in the interpretation of dreams."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 45

وَقَالَ الَّذِىۡ نَجَا مِنۡهُمَا وَادَّكَرَ بَعۡدَ اُمَّةٍ اَنَا اُنَـبِّئُكُمۡ بِتَاۡوِيۡلِهٖ فَاَرۡسِلُوۡنِ(يوسف :45)

وَقَالَ
But said
ٱلَّذِى
the one who
نَجَا
was saved
مِنْهُمَا
of the two
وَٱدَّكَرَ
and remembered
بَعْدَ
after
أُمَّةٍ
a period
أَنَا۠
"I
أُنَبِّئُكُم
[I] will inform you
بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦ
of its interpretation
فَأَرْسِلُونِ
so send me forth

Waqala allathee naja minhuma waiddakara ba'da ommatin ana onabbiokum bitaweelihi faarsilooni

Sahih International:

But the one who was freed and remembered after a time said, "I will inform you of its interpretation, so send me forth."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 46

يُوۡسُفُ اَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيۡقُ اَ فۡتِنَا فِىۡ سَبۡعِ بَقَرٰتٍ سِمَانٍ يَّاۡكُلُهُنَّ سَبۡعٌ عِجَافٌ وَّسَبۡعِ سُنۡۢبُلٰتٍ خُضۡرٍ وَّاُخَرَ يٰبِسٰتٍ ۙ لَّعَلِّىۡۤ اَرۡجِعُ اِلَى النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(يوسف :46)

يُوسُفُ
Yusuf
أَيُّهَا
O
ٱلصِّدِّيقُ
the truthful one!
أَفْتِنَا
Explain to us
فِى
about
سَبْعِ
(the) seven
بَقَرَٰتٍ
cows
سِمَانٍ
fat
يَأْكُلُهُنَّ
eating them
سَبْعٌ
seven
عِجَافٌ
lean ones
وَسَبْعِ
and seven
سُنۢبُلَٰتٍ
ears (of corn)
خُضْرٍ
green
وَأُخَرَ
and other
يَابِسَٰتٍ
dry
لَّعَلِّىٓ
that I may
أَرْجِعُ
return
إِلَى
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
يَعْلَمُونَ
know"

Yoosufu ayyuha alssiddeequ aftina fee sab'i baqaratin simanin yakuluhunna sab'un 'ijafun wasab'i sunbulatin khudrin waokhara yabisatin la'allee arji'u ila alnnasi la'allahum ya'lamoona

Sahih International:

[He said], "Joseph, O man of truth, explain to us about seven fat cows eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry - that I may return to the people; perhaps they will know [about you]."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 47

قَالَ تَزۡرَعُوۡنَ سَبۡعَ سِنِيۡنَ دَاَبًا‌ۚ فَمَا حَصَدْتُّمۡ فَذَرُوۡهُ فِىۡ سُنۡۢبُلِهٖۤ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا مِّمَّا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ(يوسف :47)

قَالَ
He said
تَزْرَعُونَ
"You will sow
سَبْعَ
(for) seven
سِنِينَ
years
دَأَبًا
as usual
فَمَا
and that which
حَصَدتُّمْ
you reap
فَذَرُوهُ
so leave it
فِى
in
سُنۢبُلِهِۦٓ
its ears
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلًا
a little
مِّمَّا
from which
تَأْكُلُونَ
you (will) eat

Qala tazra'oona sab'a sineena daaban fama hasadtum fatharoohu fee sunbulihi illa qaleelan mimma takuloona

Sahih International:

[Joseph] said, "You will plant for seven years consecutively; and what you harvest leave in its spikes, except a little from which you will eat.

Surah [12] Yusuf : 48

ثُمَّ يَاۡتِىۡ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَ سَبۡعٌ شِدَادٌ يَّاۡكُلۡنَ مَا قَدَّمۡتُمۡ لَهُنَّ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا مِّمَّا تُحۡصِنُوۡنَ(يوسف :48)

ثُمَّ
Then
يَأْتِى
will come
مِنۢ
after
بَعْدِ
after
ذَٰلِكَ
that
سَبْعٌ
seven
شِدَادٌ
hard (years)
يَأْكُلْنَ
(which will) consume
مَا
what
قَدَّمْتُمْ
you advanced
لَهُنَّ
for them
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلًا
a little
مِّمَّا
of what
تُحْصِنُونَ
you (will) store

Thumma yatee min ba'di thalika sab'un shidadun yakulna ma qaddamtum lahunna illa qaleelan mimma tuhsinoona

Sahih International:

Then will come after that seven difficult [years] which will consume what you saved for them, except a little from which you will store.
