يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you who believe!
ٱلَّذِينَ
O you who believe!
ءَامَنُوا۟
O you who believe!
لَا
(Do) not
تُقَدِّمُوا۟
put (yourselves) forward
بَيْنَ
before Allah
يَدَىِ
before Allah
ٱللَّهِ
before Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦۖ
and His Messenger
وَٱتَّقُوا۟
and fear Allah
ٱللَّهَۚ
and fear Allah
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
سَمِيعٌ
(is) All-Hearer
عَلِيمٌ
All-Knower

Yaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo la tuqaddimoo baina yada yil laahi wa Rasoolihee wattaqul laah; innal laaha samee'un 'Aleem

O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allah and His Messenger but fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

Tafsir

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you who believe!
ٱلَّذِينَ
O you who believe!
ءَامَنُوا۟
O you who believe!
لَا
(Do) not
تَرْفَعُوٓا۟
raise
أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ
your voices
فَوْقَ
above
صَوْتِ
(the) voice
ٱلنَّبِىِّ
(of) the Prophet
وَلَا
and (do) not
تَجْهَرُوا۟
be loud
لَهُۥ
to him
بِٱلْقَوْلِ
in speech
كَجَهْرِ
like (the) loudness
بَعْضِكُمْ
(of) some of you
لِبَعْضٍ
to others
أَن
lest
تَحْبَطَ
become worthless
أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ
your deeds
وَأَنتُمْ
while you
لَا
(do) not
تَشْعُرُونَ
perceive

Yaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tarfa'ooo aswaatakum fawqa sawtin Nabiyi wa laa tajharoo lahoo bilqawli kajahri ba'dikum liba 'din an tahbata a 'maalukum wa antum laa tash'uroon

O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not.

Tafsir

إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
يَغُضُّونَ
lower
أَصْوَٰتَهُمْ
their voices
عِندَ
(in) presence
رَسُولِ
(of the) Messenger of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
(of the) Messenger of Allah
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those
ٱلَّذِينَ
(are) the ones
ٱمْتَحَنَ
Allah has tested
ٱللَّهُ
Allah has tested
قُلُوبَهُمْ
their hearts
لِلتَّقْوَىٰۚ
for righteousness
لَهُم
For them
مَّغْفِرَةٌ
(is) forgiveness
وَأَجْرٌ
and a reward
عَظِيمٌ
great

Innal lazeena yaghud doona aswaatahum 'inda Rasoolil laahi ulaaa'ikal lazeenam tah anal laahu quloobahum littaqwaa; lahum maghfiratunw waajrun 'azeem

Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah – they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For them is forgiveness and great reward.

Tafsir

إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
يُنَادُونَكَ
call you
مِن
from
وَرَآءِ
behind
ٱلْحُجُرَٰتِ
the private chambers
أَكْثَرُهُمْ
most of them
لَا
(do) not
يَعْقِلُونَ
understand

Innal lazeena yunaadoo naka minw waraaa'il hujuraati aksaruhum laa ya'qiloon

Indeed, those who call you, [O Muhammad], from behind the chambers – most of them do not use reason.

Tafsir

وَلَوْ
And if
أَنَّهُمْ
they
صَبَرُوا۟
had been patient
حَتَّىٰ
until
تَخْرُجَ
you came out
إِلَيْهِمْ
to them
لَكَانَ
certainly it would be
خَيْرًا
better
لَّهُمْۚ
for them
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
غَفُورٌ
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌ
Most Merciful

Wa law annahum sabaroo hatta takhruja ilaihim lakaana khairal lahum; wallaahu Ghafoorur Raheem

And if they had been patient until you [could] come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Tafsir

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you who believe!
ٱلَّذِينَ
O you who believe!
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
O you who believe!
إِن
If
جَآءَكُمْ
comes to you
فَاسِقٌۢ
a wicked person
بِنَبَإٍ
with information
فَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟
investigate
أَن
lest
تُصِيبُوا۟
you harm
قَوْمًۢا
a people
بِجَهَٰلَةٍ
in ignorance
فَتُصْبِحُوا۟
then you become
عَلَىٰ
over
مَا
what
فَعَلْتُمْ
you have done
نَٰدِمِينَ
regretful

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo in jaaa'akum faasqum binaba in fatabaiyanooo an tuseeboo qawmam bijahalatin fatusbihoo 'alaa maa fa'altum naadimeen

O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.

Tafsir

وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟
And know
أَنَّ
that
فِيكُمْ
among you
رَسُولَ
(is the) Messenger of Allah
ٱللَّهِۚ
(is the) Messenger of Allah
لَوْ
If
يُطِيعُكُمْ
he were to obey you
فِى
in
كَثِيرٍ
much
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْأَمْرِ
the matter
لَعَنِتُّمْ
surely you would be in difficulty
وَلَٰكِنَّ
but
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
حَبَّبَ
has endeared
إِلَيْكُمُ
to you
ٱلْإِيمَٰنَ
the Faith
وَزَيَّنَهُۥ
and has made it pleasing
فِى
in
قُلُوبِكُمْ
your hearts
وَكَرَّهَ
and has made hateful
إِلَيْكُمُ
to you
ٱلْكُفْرَ
disbelief
وَٱلْفُسُوقَ
and defiance
وَٱلْعِصْيَانَۚ
and disobedience
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
Those
هُمُ
(are) they
ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَ
the guided ones

Wa'lamooo anna feekum Rasoolal laah; law yutee'ukum fee kaseerim minal amrila'anittum wa laakinnal laaha habbaba ilaikumul eemaana wa zaiyanahoo fee quloobikum wa karraha ilaikumul kufra walfusooqa wal'isyaan; ulaaaika humur raashidoon

And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided.

Tafsir

فَضْلًا
A Bounty
مِّنَ
from Allah
ٱللَّهِ
from Allah
وَنِعْمَةًۚ
and favor
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
(is) All-Knower
حَكِيمٌ
All-Wise

Fadlam minal laahi wa ni'mah; wallaahu 'Aleemun Hakeem

[It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

Tafsir

وَإِن
And if
طَآئِفَتَانِ
two parties
مِنَ
among
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the believers
ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟
fight
فَأَصْلِحُوا۟
then make peace
بَيْنَهُمَاۖ
between both of them
فَإِنۢ
But if
بَغَتْ
oppresses
إِحْدَىٰهُمَا
one of them
عَلَى
on
ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ
the other
فَقَٰتِلُوا۟
then fight
ٱلَّتِى
one which
تَبْغِى
oppresses
حَتَّىٰ
until
تَفِىٓءَ
it returns
إِلَىٰٓ
to
أَمْرِ
(the) command
ٱللَّهِۚ
(of) Allah
فَإِن
Then if
فَآءَتْ
it returns
فَأَصْلِحُوا۟
then make peace
بَيْنَهُمَا
between them
بِٱلْعَدْلِ
with justice
وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟ۖ
and act justly
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يُحِبُّ
loves
ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ
those who act justly

Wa in taaa'ifataani minal mu'mineenaq tataloo faaslihoo bainahumaa fa-im baghat ih daahumaa 'alal ukhraa faqaatilul latee tabhee hattaa tafeee'a ilaaa amril laah; fa-in faaa't fa aslihoo bainahumaa bil'adli wa aqsitoo innal laaha yuhibbul muqsiteen

And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah. And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

Tafsir

إِنَّمَا
Only
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
the believers
إِخْوَةٌ
(are) brothers
فَأَصْلِحُوا۟
so make peace
بَيْنَ
between
أَخَوَيْكُمْۚ
your brothers
وَٱتَّقُوا۟
and fear Allah
ٱللَّهَ
and fear Allah
لَعَلَّكُمْ
so that you may
تُرْحَمُونَ
receive mercy

Innamal mu'minoona ikhwatun fa aslihoo baina akhawaykum wattaqul laaha la'allakum tuhamoon

The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.
