وَاِذۡ غَدَوۡتَ مِنۡ اَهۡلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلۡقِتَالِؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيۡعٌ عَلِيۡمٌۙ (آل عمران :121)
Waith ghadawta min ahlika tubawwio almumineena maqa'ida lilqitali waAllahu samee'un 'aleemun
Sahih International:
And [remember] when you, [O Muhammad], left your family in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle [of Uhud] - and Allah is Hearing and Knowing -
اِذۡ هَمَّتۡ طَّآٮِٕفَتٰنِ مِنۡكُمۡ اَنۡ تَفۡشَلَا ۙ وَاللّٰهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا ؕ وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ(آل عمران :122)
Ith hammat taifatani minkum an tafshala waAllahu waliyyuhuma wa'ala Allahi falyatawakkali almuminoona
Sahih International:
When two parties among you were about to lose courage, but Allah was their ally; and upon Allah the believers should rely.
وَلَقَدۡ نَصَرَكُمُ اللّٰهُ بِبَدۡرٍ وَّاَنۡـتُمۡ اَذِلَّةٌ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ(آل عمران :123)
Walaqad nasarakumu Allahu bibadrin waantum athillatun faittaqoo Allaha la'allakum tashkuroona
Sahih International:
And already had Allah given you victory at [the battle of] Badr while you were few in number. Then fear Allah ; perhaps you will be grateful.
اِنۡ يَّمۡسَسۡكُمۡ قَرۡحٌ فَقَدۡ مَسَّ الۡقَوۡمَ قَرۡحٌ مِّثۡلُهٗ ؕ وَتِلۡكَ الۡاَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيۡنَ النَّاسِۚ وَلِيَـعۡلَمَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنۡكُمۡ شُهَدَآءَؕ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَۙ(آل عمران :140)
In yamsaskum qarhun faqad massa alqawma qarhun mithluhu watilka alayyamu nudawiluha bayna alnnasi waliya'lama Allahu allatheena amanoo wayattakhitha minkum shuhadaa waAllahu la yuhibbu alththalimeena
Sahih International:
If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers -
وَلِيُمَحِّصَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَيَمۡحَقَ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ(آل عمران :141)
Waliyumahhisa Allahu allatheena amanoo wayamhaqa alkafireena
Sahih International:
And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers.
اَمۡ حَسِبۡتُمۡ اَنۡ تَدۡخُلُوا الۡجَـنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعۡلَمِ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ جَاهَدُوۡا مِنۡكُمۡ وَيَعۡلَمَ الصّٰبِرِيۡنَ(آل عمران :142)
Am hasibtum an tadkhuloo aljannata walamma ya'lami Allahu allatheena jahadoo minkum waya'lama alssabireena
Sahih International:
Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast?
وَلَقَدۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَمَنَّوۡنَ الۡمَوۡتَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ تَلۡقَوۡهُ ۖ فَقَدۡ رَاَيۡتُمُوۡهُ وَاَنۡتُمۡ تَنۡظُرُوۡنَ(آل عمران :143)
Walaqad kuntum tamannawna almawta min qabli an talqawhu faqad raaytumoohu waantum tanthuroona
Sahih International:
And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on.
وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ اِلَّا رَسُوۡلٌ ۚ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِ الرُّسُلُؕ اَفَا۟ٮِٕنْ مَّاتَ اَوۡ قُتِلَ انْقَلَبۡتُمۡ عَلٰٓى اَعۡقَابِكُمۡؕ وَمَنۡ يَّنۡقَلِبۡ عَلٰى عَقِبَيۡهِ فَلَنۡ يَّضُرَّ اللّٰهَ شَيۡـــًٔا ؕ وَسَيَجۡزِى اللّٰهُ الشّٰكِرِيۡنَ(آل عمران :144)
Wama muhammadun illa rasoolun qad khalat min qablihi alrrusulu afain mata aw qutila inqalabtum 'ala a'qabikum waman yanqalib 'ala 'aqibayhi falan yadurra Allaha shayan wasayajzee Allahu alshshakireena
Sahih International:
Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful.
وَلَقَدۡ صَدَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ وَعۡدَهٗۤ اِذۡ تَحُسُّوۡنَهُمۡ بِاِذۡنِهٖۚ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا فَشِلۡتُمۡ وَتَـنَازَعۡتُمۡ فِى الۡاَمۡرِ وَعَصَيۡتُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَاۤ اَرٰٮكُمۡ مَّا تُحِبُّوۡنَؕ مِنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ يُّرِيۡدُ الدُّنۡيَا وَمِنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ يُّرِيۡدُ الۡاٰخِرَةَ ۚ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمۡ عَنۡهُمۡ لِيَبۡتَلِيَكُمۡۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَفَا عَنۡكُمۡؕ وَ اللّٰهُ ذُوۡ فَضۡلٍ عَلَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ(آل عمران :152)
Walaqad sadaqakumu Allahu wa'dahu ith tahussoonahum biithnihi hatta itha fashiltum watanaza'tum fee alamri wa'asaytum min ba'di ma arakum ma tuhibboona minkum man yureedu alddunya waminkum man yureedu alakhirata thumma sarafakum 'anhum liyabtaliyakum walaqad 'afa 'ankum waAllahu thoo fadlin 'ala almumineena
Sahih International:
And Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. Among you are some who desire this world, and among you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then he turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. And He has already forgiven you, and Allah is the possessor of bounty for the believers.
اِذۡ تُصۡعِدُوۡنَ وَلَا تَلۡوٗنَ عَلٰٓى اَحَدٍ وَّالرَّسُوۡلُ يَدۡعُوۡكُمۡ فِىۡۤ اُخۡرٰٮكُمۡ فَاَثَابَكُمۡ غَمًّا ۢ بِغَمٍّ لِّـكَيۡلَا تَحۡزَنُوۡا عَلٰى مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا مَاۤ اَصَابَكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ خَبِيۡرٌۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ(آل عمران :153)
Ith tus'idoona wala talwoona 'ala ahadin waalrrasoolu yad'ookum fee okhrakum faathabakum ghamman bighammin likayla tahzanoo 'ala ma fatakum wala ma asabakum waAllahu khabeerun bima ta'maloona
Sahih International:
[Remember] when you [fled and] climbed [the mountain] without looking aside at anyone while the Messenger was calling you from behind. So Allah repaid you with distress upon distress so you would not grieve for that which had escaped you [of victory and spoils of war] or [for] that which had befallen you [of injury and death]. And Allah is [fully] Acquainted with what you do.
