زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوٰتِ مِنَ النِّسَآءِ وَالۡبَـنِيۡنَ وَالۡقَنَاطِيۡرِ الۡمُقَنۡطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالۡفِضَّةِ وَالۡخَـيۡلِ الۡمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالۡاَنۡعَامِ وَالۡحَـرۡثِؕ ذٰ لِكَ مَتَاعُ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ۚ وَاللّٰهُ عِنۡدَهٗ حُسۡنُ الۡمَاٰبِ (آل عمران :14)
Zuyyina lilnnasi hubbu alshshahawati mina alnnisai waalbaneena waalqanateeri almuqantarati mina alththahabi waalfiddati waalkhayli almusawwamati waalan'ami waalharthi thalika mata'u alhayati alddunya waAllahu 'indahu husnu almaabi
Sahih International:
Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.
وَاللّٰهُ يُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ يَّتُوۡبَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَيُرِيۡدُ الَّذِيۡنَ يَتَّبِعُوۡنَ الشَّهَوٰتِ اَنۡ تَمِيۡلُوۡا مَيۡلًا عَظِيۡمًا(النساء :27)
WaAllahu yureedu an yatooba 'alaykum wayureedu allatheena yattabi'oona alshshahawati an tameeloo maylan 'atheeman
Sahih International:
Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation.
فَخَلَفَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٌ اَضَاعُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوٰتِ ۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَلۡقَوۡنَ غَيًّا(مريم :59)
Fakhalafa min ba'dihim khalfun ada'oo alssalata waittaba'oo alshshahawati fasawfa yalqawna ghayyan
Sahih International:
But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil -
وَاَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ وَ نَهَى النَّفۡسَ عَنِ الۡهَوٰىۙ(النازعات :40)
Waama man khafa maqama rabbihi wanaha alnnafsa 'ani alhawa
Sahih International:
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
فَاِنَّ الۡجَـنَّةَ هِىَ الۡمَاۡوٰىؕ(النازعات :41)
Fainna aljannata hiya almawa
Sahih International:
Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
كَلَّا بَلۡ لَّا تُكۡرِمُوۡنَ الۡيَتِيۡمَۙ(الفجر :17)
Kalla bal la tukrimoona alyateema
Sahih International:
No! But you do not honor the orphan
وَلَا تَحٰٓضُّوۡنَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الۡمِسۡكِيۡنِۙ(الفجر :18)
Wala tahaddoona 'ala ta'ami almiskeeni
Sahih International:
And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
وَتَاۡكُلُوۡنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكۡلًا لَّـمًّا ۙ(الفجر :19)
Watakuloona altturatha aklan lamman
Sahih International:
And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,
وَّتُحِبُّوۡنَ الۡمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا ؕ(الفجر :20)
Watuhibboona almala hubban jamman
Sahih International:
And you love wealth with immense love.
