Surah [20] Ta-Ha : 70

فَاُلۡقِىَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًا قَالُوۡۤا اٰمَنَّا بِرَبِّ هٰرُوۡنَ وَمُوۡسٰى(طه :70)

فَأُلْقِىَ
So were thrown down
ٱلسَّحَرَةُ
the magicians
سُجَّدًا
prostrating
قَالُوٓا۟
They said
ءَامَنَّا
"We believe
بِرَبِّ
in (the) Lord
هَٰرُونَ
(of) Harun
وَمُوسَىٰ
and Musa"

Faolqiya alssaharatu sujjadan qaloo amanna birabbi haroona wamoosa

Sahih International:

So the magicians fell down in prostration. They said, "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."

Surah [20] Ta-Ha : 71

قَالَ اٰمَنۡتُمۡ لَهٗ قَبۡلَ اَنۡ اٰذَنَ لَـكُمۡ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَـكَبِيۡرُكُمُ الَّذِىۡ عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحۡرَ‌ۚ فَلَاُقَطِّعَنَّ اَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَاَرۡجُلَكُمۡ مِّنۡ خِلَافٍ وَّلَاُصَلِّبَـنَّكُمۡ فِىۡ جُذُوۡعِ النَّخۡلِ وَلَـتَعۡلَمُنَّ اَيُّنَاۤ اَشَدُّ عَذَابًا وَّاَبۡقٰى‏(طه :71)

قَالَ
He said
ءَامَنتُمْ
"You believe
لَهُۥ
[to] him
قَبْلَ
before
أَنْ
[that]
ءَاذَنَ
I gave permission
لَكُمْۖ
to you
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed he
لَكَبِيرُكُمُ
(is) your chief
ٱلَّذِى
the one who
عَلَّمَكُمُ
taught you
ٱلسِّحْرَۖ
the magic
فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ
So surely I will cut off
أَيْدِيَكُمْ
your hands
وَأَرْجُلَكُم
and your feet
مِّنْ
of
خِلَٰفٍ
opposite sides
وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ
and surely I will crucify you
فِى
on
جُذُوعِ
(the) trunks
ٱلنَّخْلِ
(of) date-palms
وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ
and surely you will know
أَيُّنَآ
which of us
أَشَدُّ
(is) more severe
عَذَابًا
(in) punishment
وَأَبْقَىٰ
and more lasting"

Qala amantum lahu qabla an athana lakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee 'allamakumu alssihra falaoqatti'anna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafin walaosallibannakum fee juthoo'i alnnakhli walata'lamunna ayyuna ashaddu 'athaban waabqa

Sahih International:

[Pharaoh] said, "You believed him before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will surely know which of us is more severe in [giving] punishment and more enduring."

Surah [20] Ta-Ha : 72

قَالُوۡا لَنۡ نُّؤۡثِرَكَ عَلٰى مَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ الۡبَيِّنٰتِ وَالَّذِىۡ فَطَرَنَا‌ فَاقۡضِ مَاۤ اَنۡتَ قَاضٍ‌ ؕ اِنَّمَا تَقۡضِىۡ هٰذِهِ الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا(طه :72)

قَالُوا۟
They said
لَن
"Never
نُّؤْثِرَكَ
we will prefer you
عَلَىٰ
over
مَا
what
جَآءَنَا
has come to us
مِنَ
of
ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
the clear proofs
وَٱلَّذِى
and the One Who
فَطَرَنَاۖ
created us
فَٱقْضِ
So decree
مَآ
whatever
أَنتَ
you
قَاضٍۖ
(are) decreeing
إِنَّمَا
Only
تَقْضِى
you can decree
هَٰذِهِ
(for) this
ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ
life
ٱلدُّنْيَآ
(of) the world

Qaloo lan nuthiraka 'ala ma jaana mina albayyinati waallathee fatarana faiqdi ma anta qadin innama taqdee hathihi alhayata alddunya

Sahih International:

They said, "Never will we prefer you over what has come to us of clear proofs and [over] He who created us. So decree whatever you are to decree. You can only decree for this worldly life.

Surah [20] Ta-Ha : 73

اِنَّاۤ اٰمَنَّا بِرَبِّنَا لِيَـغۡفِرَ لَـنَا خَطٰيٰنَا وَمَاۤ اَكۡرَهۡتَـنَا عَلَيۡهِ مِنَ السِّحۡرِؕ‌ وَاللّٰهُ خَيۡرٌ وَّاَبۡقٰى(طه :73)

إِنَّآ
Indeed [we]
ءَامَنَّا
we believe
بِرَبِّنَا
in our Lord
لِيَغْفِرَ
that He may forgive
لَنَا
for us
خَطَٰيَٰنَا
our sins
وَمَآ
and what
أَكْرَهْتَنَا
you compelled us
عَلَيْهِ
on it
مِنَ
of
ٱلسِّحْرِۗ
the magic
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
خَيْرٌ
(is) Best
وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
and Ever Lasting"

Inna amanna birabbina liyaghfira lana khatayana wama akrahtana 'alayhi mina alssihri waAllahu khayrun waabqa

Sahih International:

Indeed, we have believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us [to do] of magic. And Allah is better and more enduring."

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [26] Ash-Shu'ara : 46

فَاُلۡقِىَ السَّحَرَةُ سٰجِدِيۡنَۙ‏(الشعراء :46)

فَأُلْقِىَ
Then fell down
ٱلسَّحَرَةُ
the magicians
سَٰجِدِينَ
prostrate

Faolqiya alssaharatu sajideena

Sahih International:

So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah ].

Surah [26] Ash-Shu'ara : 47

قَالُوۡۤا اٰمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ(الشعراء :47)

قَالُوٓا۟
They said
ءَامَنَّا
"We believe
بِرَبِّ
in (the) Lord
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
(of) the worlds

Qaloo amanna birabbi al'alameena

Sahih International:

They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,

Surah [26] Ash-Shu'ara : 48

رَبِّ مُوۡسٰى وَهٰرُوۡنَ‏(الشعراء :48)

رَبِّ
Lord
مُوسَىٰ
(of) Musa
وَهَٰرُونَ
and Harun"

Rabbi moosa waharoona

Sahih International:

The Lord of Moses and Aaron."

Surah [26] Ash-Shu'ara : 49

قَالَ اٰمَنۡتُمۡ لَهٗ قَبۡلَ اَنۡ اٰذَنَ لَـكُمۡ‌ۚ اِنَّهٗ لَـكَبِيۡرُكُمُ الَّذِىۡ عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحۡرَ‌ۚ فَلَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ لَاُقَطِّعَنَّ اَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَاَرۡجُلَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ خِلَافٍ وَّلَاُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ‌ۚ(الشعراء :49)

قَالَ
He said
ءَامَنتُمْ
"You believed
لَهُۥ
in him
قَبْلَ
before
أَنْ
[that]
ءَاذَنَ
I gave permission
لَكُمْۖ
to you
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed he
لَكَبِيرُكُمُ
(is) surely your chief
ٱلَّذِى
who
عَلَّمَكُمُ
has taught you
ٱلسِّحْرَ
the magic
فَلَسَوْفَ
so surely soon
تَعْلَمُونَۚ
you will know
لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ
I will surely cut off
أَيْدِيَكُمْ
your hands
وَأَرْجُلَكُم
and your feet
مِّنْ
of
خِلَٰفٍ
opposite sides
وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ
and I will surely crucify you
أَجْمَعِينَ
all"

Sahih International:

[Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."

Surah [26] Ash-Shu'ara : 50

قَالُوۡا لَا ضَيۡرَ‌ ۖ اِنَّاۤ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا مُنۡقَلِبُوۡنَ‌ۚ(الشعراء :50)

قَالُوا۟
They said
لَا
"No
ضَيْرَۖ
harm
إِنَّآ
Indeed we
إِلَىٰ
to
رَبِّنَا
our Lord
مُنقَلِبُونَ
(will) return

Qaloo la dayra inna ila rabbina munqaliboona

Sahih International:

They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.

Surah [26] Ash-Shu'ara : 51

اِنَّا نَطۡمَعُ اَنۡ يَّغۡفِرَ لَـنَا رَبُّنَا خَطٰيٰـنَاۤ اَنۡ كُنَّاۤ اَوَّلَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ(الشعراء :51)

إِنَّا
Indeed we
نَطْمَعُ
hope
أَن
that
يَغْفِرَ
will forgive
لَنَا
us
رَبُّنَا
our Lord
خَطَٰيَٰنَآ
our sins
أَن
because
كُنَّآ
we are
أَوَّلَ
(the) first
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
(of) the believers"

Inna natma'u an yaghfira lana rabbuna khatayana an kunna awwala almumineena

Sahih International:

Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers."
