Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 236

لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ اِنۡ طَلَّقۡتُمُ النِّسَآءَ مَا لَمۡ تَمَسُّوۡهُنَّ اَوۡ تَفۡرِضُوۡا لَهُنَّ فَرِيۡضَةً  ۖۚ وَّمَتِّعُوۡهُنَّ ‌ۚ عَلَى الۡمُوۡسِعِ قَدَرُهٗ وَ عَلَى الۡمُقۡتِرِ قَدَرُهٗ ‌ۚ مَتَاعًا ۢ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ‌‌ۚ حَقًّا عَلَى الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ(البقرة :236)

لَّا
(There is) no
جُنَاحَ
blame
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you
إِن
if
طَلَّقْتُمُ
you divorce
ٱلنِّسَآءَ
[the] women
مَا
whom
لَمْ
not
تَمَسُّوهُنَّ
you have touched
أَوْ
nor
تَفْرِضُوا۟
you specified
لَهُنَّ
for them
فَرِيضَةًۚ
an obligation (dower)
وَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ
And make provision for them
عَلَى
upon
ٱلْمُوسِعِ
the wealthy
قَدَرُهُۥ
according to his means
وَعَلَى
and upon
ٱلْمُقْتِرِ
the poor
قَدَرُهُۥ
according to his means
مَتَٰعًۢا
a provision
بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِۖ
in a fair manner
حَقًّا
a duty
عَلَى
upon
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
the good-doers

La junaha 'alaykum in tallaqtumu alnnisaa ma lam tamassoohunna aw tafridoo lahunna fareedatan wamatti'oohunna 'ala almoosi'i qadaruhu wa'ala almuqtiri qadaruhu mata'an bialma'roofi haqqan 'ala almuhsineena

Sahih International:

There is no blame upon you if you divorce women you have not touched nor specified for them an obligation. But give them [a gift of] compensation - the wealthy according to his capability and the poor according to his capability - a provision according to what is acceptable, a duty upon the doers of good.

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 280

وَاِنۡ كَانَ ذُوۡ عُسۡرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ اِلٰى مَيۡسَرَةٍ ‌ؕ وَاَنۡ تَصَدَّقُوۡا خَيۡرٌ لَّـكُمۡ‌ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(البقرة :280)

وَإِن
And if
كَانَ
is
ذُو
the (debtor)
عُسْرَةٍ
in difficulty
فَنَظِرَةٌ
then postponement
إِلَىٰ
until
مَيْسَرَةٍۚ
ease
وَأَن
And if
تَصَدَّقُوا۟
you remit as charity
خَيْرٌ
(it is) better
لَّكُمْۖ
for you
إِن
If
كُنتُمْ
you
تَعْلَمُونَ
know

Wain kana thoo 'usratin fanathiratun ila maysaratin waan tasaddaqoo khayrun lakum in kuntum ta'lamoona

Sahih International:

And if someone is in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until [a time of] ease. But if you give [from your right as] charity, then it is better for you, if you only knew.

Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 4

وَاٰ تُوا النِّسَآءَ صَدُقٰتِهِنَّ نِحۡلَةً‌ ؕ فَاِنۡ طِبۡنَ لَـكُمۡ عَنۡ شَىۡءٍ مِّنۡهُ نَفۡسًا فَكُلُوۡهُ هَنِيۡٓــًٔـا مَّرِیۡٓـــٴًﺎ(النساء :4)

وَءَاتُوا۟
And give
ٱلنِّسَآءَ
the women
صَدُقَٰتِهِنَّ
their dower
نِحْلَةًۚ
graciously
فَإِن
But if
طِبْنَ
they remit
لَكُمْ
to you
عَن
of
شَىْءٍ
anything
مِّنْهُ
of it
نَفْسًا
(on their) own
فَكُلُوهُ
then eat it
هَنِيٓـًٔا
(in) satisfaction
مَّرِيٓـًٔا
(and) ease

Waatoo alnnisaa saduqatihinna nihlatan fain tibna lakum 'an shayin minhu nafsan fakuloohu haneean mareean

Sahih International:

And give the women [upon marriage] their [bridal] gifts graciously. But if they give up willingly to you anything of it, then take it in satisfaction and ease.

Surah [11] Hud : 108

وَاَمَّا الَّذِيۡنَ سُعِدُوۡا فَفِى الۡجَـنَّةِ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالۡاَرۡضُ اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ‌ ؕ عَطَآءً غَيۡرَ مَجۡذُوۡذٍ‏(هود :108)

وَأَمَّا
And as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
سُعِدُوا۟
were glad
فَفِى
then (they will be) in
ٱلْجَنَّةِ
Paradise
خَٰلِدِينَ
(will be) abiding
فِيهَا
therein
مَا
as long as remains
دَامَتِ
as long as remains
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضُ
and the earth
إِلَّا
except
مَا
what your Lord wills
شَآءَ
what your Lord wills
رَبُّكَۖ
what your Lord wills
عَطَآءً
a bestowal
غَيْرَ
not
مَجْذُوذٍ
interrupted

Waamma allatheena su'idoo fafee aljannati khalideena feeha ma damati alssamawatu waalardu illa ma shaa rabbuka 'ataan ghayra majthoothin

Sahih International:

And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will - a bestowal uninterrupted.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [11] Hud : 99

وَاُتۡبِعُوۡا فِىۡ هٰذِهٖ لَـعۡنَةً وَّيَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ‌ ؕ بِئۡسَ الرِّفۡدُ الۡمَرۡفُوۡدُ‏(هود :99)

وَأُتْبِعُوا۟
And they were followed
فِى
in
هَٰذِهِۦ
this
لَعْنَةً
(by) a curse
وَيَوْمَ
and (on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۚ
(of) the Resurrection
بِئْسَ
Wretched
ٱلرِّفْدُ
(is) the gift
ٱلْمَرْفُودُ
which (will) be given

Waotbi'oo fee hathihi la'natan wayawma alqiyamati bisa alrrifdu almarfoodu

Sahih International:

And they were followed in this [world] with a curse and on the Day of Resurrection. And wretched is the gift which is given.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [27] An-Naml : 35

وَاِنِّىۡ مُرۡسِلَةٌ اِلَيۡهِمۡ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنٰظِرَةٌۢ بِمَ يَرۡجِعُ الۡمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ‏(النمل :35)

وَإِنِّى
But indeed I am
مُرْسِلَةٌ
going to send
إِلَيْهِم
to them
بِهَدِيَّةٍ
a gift
فَنَاظِرَةٌۢ
and see
بِمَ
with what
يَرْجِعُ
return
ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
the messengers"

Wainnee mursilatun ilayhim bihadiyyatin fanathiratun bima yarji'u almursaloona

Sahih International:

But indeed, I will send to them a gift and see with what [reply] the messengers will return."

Surah [27] An-Naml : 36

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَيۡمٰنَ قَالَ اَتُمِدُّوۡنَنِ بِمَالٍ فَمَاۤ اٰتٰٮنِۦَ اللّٰهُ خَيۡرٌ مِّمَّاۤ اٰتٰٮكُمۡ‌ۚ بَلۡ اَنۡـتُمۡ بِهَدِيَّتِكُمۡ تَفۡرَحُوۡنَ‏(النمل :36)

فَلَمَّا
So when
جَآءَ
came
سُلَيْمَٰنَ
(to) Sulaiman
قَالَ
he said
أَتُمِدُّونَنِ
"Will you provide me
بِمَالٍ
with wealth?
فَمَآ
But what
ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ
Allah has given me
ٱللَّهُ
Allah has given me
خَيْرٌ
(is) better
مِّمَّآ
than what
ءَاتَىٰكُم
He has given you
بَلْ
Nay
أَنتُم
you
بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ
in your gift
تَفْرَحُونَ
rejoice

Falamma jaa sulaymana qala atumiddoonani bimalin fama ataniya Allahu khayrun mimma atakum bal antum bihadiyyatikum tafrahoona

Sahih International:

So when they came to Solomon, he said, "Do you provide me with wealth? But what Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Rather, it is you who rejoice in your gift.

Surah [30] Ar-Rum : 39

وَمَاۤ اٰتَيۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ رِّبًا لِّيَرۡبُوَا۟ فِىۡۤ اَمۡوَالِ النَّاسِ فَلَا يَرۡبُوۡا عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ‌ۚ وَمَاۤ اٰتَيۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ زَكٰوةٍ تُرِيۡدُوۡنَ وَجۡهَ اللّٰهِ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡمُضۡعِفُوۡنَ(الروم :39)

وَمَآ
And what
ءَاتَيْتُم
you give
مِّن
for
رِّبًا
usury
لِّيَرْبُوَا۟
to increase
فِىٓ
in
أَمْوَٰلِ
(the) wealth
ٱلنَّاسِ
(of) people
فَلَا
not
يَرْبُوا۟
(will) increase
عِندَ
with
ٱللَّهِۖ
Allah
وَمَآ
But what
ءَاتَيْتُم
you give
مِّن
of
زَكَوٰةٍ
zakah
تُرِيدُونَ
desiring
وَجْهَ
(the) Countenance
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
then those
هُمُ
[they]
ٱلْمُضْعِفُونَ
(will) get manifold

Wama ataytum min riban liyarbuwa fee amwali alnnasi fala yarboo 'inda Allahi wama ataytum min zakatin tureedoona wajha Allahi faolaika humu almud'ifoona

Sahih International:

And whatever you give for interest to increase within the wealth of people will not increase with Allah . But what you give in zakah, desiring the countenance of Allah - those are the multipliers.

Surah [33] Al-Ahzab : 49

يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِذَا نَكَحۡتُمُ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقۡتُمُوۡهُنَّ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ تَمَسُّوۡهُنَّ فَمَا لَـكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِنَّ مِنۡ عِدَّةٍ تَعۡتَدُّوۡنَهَا ۚ فَمَتِّعُوۡهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوۡهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيۡلًا(الأحزاب :49)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you who believe!
ٱلَّذِينَ
O you who believe!
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
O you who believe!
إِذَا
When
نَكَحْتُمُ
you marry
ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ
believing women
ثُمَّ
and then
طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ
divorce them
مِن
before
قَبْلِ
before
أَن
[that]
تَمَسُّوهُنَّ
you have touched them
فَمَا
then not
لَكُمْ
for you
عَلَيْهِنَّ
on them
مِنْ
any
عِدَّةٍ
waiting period
تَعْتَدُّونَهَاۖ
(to) count concerning them
فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ
So provide for them
وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ
and release them
سَرَاحًا
(with) a release
جَمِيلًا
good

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha nakahtumu almuminati thumma tallaqtumoohunna min qabli an tamassoohunna fama lakum 'alayhinna min 'iddatin ta'taddoonaha famatti'oohunna wasarrihoohunna sarahan jameelan

Sahih International:

O You who have believed, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them, then there is not for you any waiting period to count concerning them. So provide for them and give them a gracious release.

Surah [38] Sad : 39

هٰذَا عَطَآؤُنَا فَامۡنُنۡ اَوۡ اَمۡسِكۡ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٍ(ص :39)

هَٰذَا
"This
عَطَآؤُنَا
(is) Our gift
فَٱمْنُنْ
so grant
أَوْ
or
أَمْسِكْ
withhold
بِغَيْرِ
without
حِسَابٍ
account"

Hatha 'ataona faomnun aw amsik bighayri hisabin

Sahih International:

[We said], "This is Our gift, so grant or withhold without account."
