وَاِذۡ قُلۡتُمۡ يٰمُوۡسٰى لَنۡ نَّصۡبِرَ عَلٰى طَعَامٍ وَّاحِدٍ فَادۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخۡرِجۡ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنۡۢبِتُ الۡاَرۡضُ مِنۡۢ بَقۡلِهَا وَقِثَّـآٮِٕهَا وَفُوۡمِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَ بَصَلِهَاؕ قَالَ اَتَسۡتَبۡدِلُوۡنَ الَّذِىۡ هُوَ اَدۡنٰى بِالَّذِىۡ هُوَ خَيۡرٌؕ اِهۡبِطُوۡا مِصۡرًا فَاِنَّ لَـکُمۡ مَّا سَاَلۡتُمۡؕ وَضُرِبَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالۡمَسۡکَنَةُ وَبَآءُوۡ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِؕ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا يَكۡفُرُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَيَقۡتُلُوۡنَ النَّبِيّٖنَ بِغَيۡرِ الۡحَـقِّؕ ذٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا وَّڪَانُوۡا يَعۡتَدُوۡنَ(البقرة :61)
Waith qultum ya moosa lan nasbira 'ala ta'amin wahidin faod'u lana rabbaka yukhrij lana mimma tunbitu alardu min baqliha waqiththaiha wafoomiha wa'adasiha wabasaliha qala atastabdiloona allathee huwa adna biallathee huwa khayrun ihbitoo misran fainna lakum ma saaltum waduribat 'alayhimu alththillatu waalmaskanatu wabaoo bighadabin mina Allahi thalika biannahum kanoo yakfuroona biayati Allahi wayaqtuloona alnnabiyyeena bighayri alhaqqi thalika bima 'asaw wakanoo ya'tadoona
Sahih International:
And [recall] when you said, "O Moses, we can never endure one [kind of] food. So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs and its cucumbers and its garlic and its lentils and its onions." [Moses] said, "Would you exchange what is better for what is less? Go into [any] settlement and indeed, you will have what you have asked." And they were covered with humiliation and poverty and returned with anger from Allah [upon them]. That was because they [repeatedly] disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That was because they disobeyed and were [habitually] transgressing.
ضُرِبَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ اَيۡنَ مَا ثُقِفُوۡۤا اِلَّا بِحَبۡلٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَحَبۡلٍ مِّنَ النَّاسِ وَبَآءُوۡ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَضُرِبَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡمَسۡكَنَةُ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ بِاَنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا يَكۡفُرُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَيَقۡتُلُوۡنَ الۡاَنۡۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقٍّؕ ذٰ لِكَ بِمَا عَصَوۡا وَّكَانُوۡا يَعۡتَدُوۡنَ(آل عمران :112)
Duribat 'alayhimu alththillatu ayna ma thuqifoo illa bihablin mina Allahi wahablin mina alnnasi wabaoo bighadabin mina Allahi waduribat 'alayhimu almaskanatu thalika biannahum kanoo yakfuroona biayati Allahi wayaqtuloona alanbiyaa bighayri haqqin thalika bima 'asaw wakanoo ya'tadoona
Sahih International:
They have been put under humiliation [by Allah ] wherever they are overtaken, except for a covenant from Allah and a rope from the Muslims. And they have drawn upon themselves anger from Allah and have been put under destitution. That is because they disbelieved in the verses of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.
قُلِ اللّٰهُمَّ مٰلِكَ الۡمُلۡكِ تُؤۡتِى الۡمُلۡكَ مَنۡ تَشَآءُ وَتَنۡزِعُ الۡمُلۡكَ مِمَّنۡ تَشَآءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَنۡ تَشَآءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَنۡ تَشَآءُ ؕ بِيَدِكَ الۡخَيۡرُؕ اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ (آل عمران :26)
Quli allahumma malika almulki tutee almulka man tashao watanzi'u almulka mimman tashao watu'izzu man tashao watuthillu man tashao biyadika alkhayru innaka 'ala kulli shayin qadeerun
Sahih International:
Say, "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.
قَالَ فَاهۡبِطۡ مِنۡهَا فَمَا يَكُوۡنُ لَـكَ اَنۡ تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيۡهَا فَاخۡرُجۡ اِنَّكَ مِنَ الصّٰغِرِيۡنَ(الأعراف :13)
Qala faihbit minha fama yakoonu laka an tatakabbara feeha faokhruj innaka mina alssaghireena
Sahih International:
[ Allah ] said, "Descend from Paradise, for it is not for you to be arrogant therein. So get out; indeed, you are of the debased.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّخَذُوا الۡعِجۡلَ سَيَنَالُهُمۡ غَضَبٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّهِمۡ وَذِلَّـةٌ فِى الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِىۡ الۡمُفۡتَرِيۡنَ(الأعراف :152)
Inna allatheena ittakhathoo al'ijla sayanaluhum ghadabun min rabbihim wathillatun fee alhayati alddunya wakathalika najzee almuftareena
Sahih International:
Indeed, those who took the calf [for worship] will obtain anger from their Lord and humiliation in the life of this world, and thus do We recompense the inventors [of falsehood].
قَاتِلُوا الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَلَا بِالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُوۡنَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ وَ رَسُوۡلُهٗ وَلَا يَدِيۡنُوۡنَ دِيۡنَ الۡحَـقِّ مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡـكِتٰبَ حَتّٰى يُعۡطُوا الۡجِزۡيَةَ عَنۡ يَّدٍ وَّهُمۡ صٰغِرُوۡنَ(التوبة :29)
Qatiloo allatheena la yuminoona biAllahi wala bialyawmi alakhiri wala yuharrimoona ma harrama Allahu warasooluhu wala yadeenoona deena alhaqqi mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba hatta yu'too aljizyata 'an yadin wahum saghiroona
Sahih International:
Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.
اِلَّا تَـنۡصُرُوۡهُ فَقَدۡ نَصَرَهُ اللّٰهُ اِذۡ اَخۡرَجَهُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا ثَانِىَ اثۡنَيۡنِ اِذۡ هُمَا فِى الۡغَارِ اِذۡ يَقُوۡلُ لِصَاحِبِهٖ لَا تَحۡزَنۡ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَنَا ۚ فَاَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ سَكِيۡنَـتَهٗ عَلَيۡهِ وَاَ يَّدَهٗ بِجُنُوۡدٍ لَّمۡ تَرَوۡهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوا السُّفۡلٰى ؕ وَكَلِمَةُ اللّٰهِ هِىَ الۡعُلۡيَا ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَزِيۡزٌ حَكِيۡمٌ(التوبة :40)
Illa tansuroohu faqad nasarahu Allahu ith akhrajahu allatheena kafaroo thaniya ithnayni ith huma fee alghari ith yaqoolu lisahibihi la tahzan inna Allaha ma'ana faanzala Allahu sakeenatahu 'alayhi waayyadahu bijunoodin lam tarawha waja'ala kalimata allatheena kafaroo alssufla wakalimatu Allahi hiya al'ulya waAllahu 'azeezun hakeemun
Sahih International:
If you do not aid the Prophet - Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us." And Allah sent down his tranquillity upon him and supported him with angels you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allah - that is the highest. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
وَقُلِ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ لَمۡ يَتَّخِذۡ وَلَدًا وَّلَمۡ يَكُنۡ لَّهٗ شَرِيۡكٌ فِى الۡمُلۡكِ وَلَمۡ يَكُنۡ لَّهٗ وَلِىٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلِّ وَكَبِّرۡهُ تَكۡبِيۡرًا(الإسراء :111)
Waquli alhamdu lillahi allathee lam yattakhith waladan walam yakun lahu shareekun fee almulki walam yakun lahu waliyyun mina alththulli wakabbirhu takbeeran
Sahih International:
And say, "Praise to Allah, who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification."
قَالَتۡ اِنَّ الۡمُلُوۡكَ اِذَا دَخَلُوۡا قَرۡيَةً اَفۡسَدُوۡهَا وَجَعَلُوۡۤا اَعِزَّةَ اَهۡلِهَاۤ اَذِلَّةً ۚ وَكَذٰلِكَ يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ(النمل :34)
Qalat inna almulooka itha dakhaloo qaryatan afsadooha waja'aloo a'izzata ahliha athillatan wakathalika yaf'aloona
Sahih International:
She said, "Indeed kings - when they enter a city, they ruin it and render the honored of its people humbled. And thus do they do.
اِرۡجِعۡ اِلَيۡهِمۡ فَلَنَاۡتِيَنَّهُمۡ بِجُنُوۡدٍ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُمۡ بِهَا وَلَـنُخۡرِجَنَّهُمۡ مِّنۡهَاۤ اَذِلَّةً وَّهُمۡ صٰغِرُوۡنَ(النمل :37)
Irji' ilayhim falanatiyannahum bijunoodin la qibala lahum biha walanukhrijannahum minha athillatan wahum saghiroona
Sahih International:
Return to them, for we will surely come to them with soldiers that they will be powerless to encounter, and we will surely expel them therefrom in humiliation, and they will be debased."
