اِنَّاۤ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ كَمَاۤ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلٰى نُوۡحٍ وَّالنَّبِيّٖنَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖ ۚ وَاَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلٰٓى اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَاِسۡمٰعِيۡلَ وَاِسۡحٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَ وَالۡاَسۡبَاطِ وَعِيۡسٰى وَاَيُّوۡبَ وَيُوۡنُسَ وَهٰرُوۡنَ وَسُلَيۡمٰنَ ۚ وَاٰتَيۡنَا دَاوٗدَ زَبُوۡرًا(النساء :163)
Inna awhayna ilayka kama awhayna ila noohin waalnnabiyyeena min ba'dihi waawhayna ila ibraheema waisma'eela waishaqa waya'qooba waalasbati wa'eesa waayyooba wayoonusa waharoona wasulaymana waatayna dawooda zabooran
Sahih International:
Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].
لُعِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ عَلٰى لِسَانِ دَاوٗدَ وَعِيۡسَى ابۡنِ مَرۡيَمَ ؕ ذٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَّكَانُوۡا يَعۡتَدُوۡنَ(المائدة :78)
Lu'ina allatheena kafaroo min banee israeela 'ala lisani dawooda wa'eesa ibni maryama thalika bima 'asaw wakanoo ya'tadoona
Sahih International:
Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهٗۤ اِسۡحٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَؕ كُلًّا هَدَيۡنَا ۚ وَنُوۡحًا هَدَيۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَمِنۡ ذُرِّيَّتِهٖ دَاوٗدَ وَسُلَيۡمٰنَ وَاَيُّوۡبَ وَيُوۡسُفَ وَمُوۡسٰى وَ هٰرُوۡنَؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِى الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَۙ (الأنعام :84)
Wawahabna lahu ishaqa waya'qooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadayna min qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymana waayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalika najzee almuhsineena
Sahih International:
And We gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good.
وَرَبُّكَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنۡ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ وَلَقَدۡ فَضَّلۡنَا بَعۡضَ النَّبِيّٖنَ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍ وَّاٰتَيۡنَا دَاوٗدَ زَبُوۡرًا(الإسراء :55)
Warabbuka a'lamu biman fee alssamawati waalardi walaqad faddalna ba'da alnnabiyyeena 'ala ba'din waatayna dawooda zabooran
Sahih International:
And your Lord is most knowing of whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And We have made some of the prophets exceed others [in various ways], and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].
وَدَاوٗدَ وَسُلَيۡمٰنَ اِذۡ يَحۡكُمٰنِ فِى الۡحَـرۡثِ اِذۡ نَفَشَتۡ فِيۡهِ غَنَمُ الۡقَوۡمِۚ وَكُنَّا لِحُكۡمِهِمۡ شٰهِدِيۡنَ(الأنبياء :78)
Wadawooda wasulaymana ith yahkumani fee alharthi ith nafashat feehi ghanamu alqawmi wakunna lihukmihim shahideena
Sahih International:
And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement.
فَفَهَّمۡنٰهَا سُلَيۡمٰنَۚ وَكُلًّا اٰتَيۡنَا حُكۡمًا وَّعِلۡمًا وَّسَخَّرۡنَا مَعَ دَاوٗدَ الۡجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحۡنَ وَالطَّيۡرَ ؕ وَكُنَّا فٰعِلِيۡنَ(الأنبياء :79)
Fafahhamnaha sulaymana wakullan atayna hukman wa'ilman wasakhkharna ma'a dawooda aljibala yusabbihna waalttayra wakunna fa'ileena
Sahih International:
And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that].
وَعَلَّمۡنٰهُ صَنۡعَةَ لَبُوۡسٍ لَّـكُمۡ لِتُحۡصِنَكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَاۡسِكُمۡۚ فَهَلۡ اَنۡـتُمۡ شٰكِرُوۡنَ(الأنبياء :80)
Wa'allamnahu san'ata laboosin lakum lituhsinakum min basikum fahal antum shakiroona
Sahih International:
And We taught him the fashioning of coats of armor to protect you from your [enemy in] battle. So will you then be grateful?
وَلَـقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنَا دَاوٗدَ وَ سُلَيۡمٰنَ عِلۡمًا ۚ وَقَالَا الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ فَضَّلَنَا عَلٰى كَثِيۡرٍ مِّنۡ عِبَادِهِ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ(النمل :15)
Walaqad atayna dawooda wasulaymana 'ilman waqala alhamdu lillahi allathee faddalana 'ala katheerin min 'ibadihi almumineena
Sahih International:
And We had certainly given to David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise [is due] to Allah, who has favored us over many of His believing servants."
وَوَرِثَ سُلَيۡمٰنُ دَاوٗدَ وَقَالَ يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمۡنَا مَنۡطِقَ الطَّيۡرِ وَاُوۡتِيۡنَا مِنۡ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍؕ اِنَّ هٰذَا لَهُوَ الۡفَضۡلُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ(النمل :16)
Wawaritha sulaymanu dawooda waqala ya ayyuha alnnasu 'ullimna mantiqa alttayri waooteena min kulli shayin inna hatha lahuwa alfadlu almubeenu
Sahih International:
And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty."
وَلَقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنَا دَاوٗدَ مِنَّا فَضۡلًا ؕ يٰجِبَالُ اَوِّبِىۡ مَعَهٗ وَالطَّيۡرَ ۚ وَاَلَــنَّا لَـهُ الۡحَدِيۡدَ (سبإ :10)
Walaqad atayna dawooda minna fadlan ya jibalu awwibee ma'ahu waalttayra waalanna lahu alhadeeda
Sahih International:
And We certainly gave David from Us bounty. [We said], "O mountains, repeat [Our] praises with him, and the birds [as well]." And We made pliable for him iron,
