ثُمَّ يُجْزٰىهُ الْجَزَاۤءَ الْاَوْفٰىۙ   ( النجم: ٤١ )

thumma
ثُمَّ
Then
yuj'zāhu
يُجْزَىٰهُ
he will be recompensed for it
l-jazāa
ٱلْجَزَآءَ
the recompense
l-awfā
ٱلْأَوْفَىٰ
the fullest

Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense –

Tafsir

وَاَنَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ الْمُنْتَهٰىۙ   ( النجم: ٤٢ )

wa-anna
وَأَنَّ
And that
ilā
إِلَىٰ
to
rabbika
رَبِّكَ
your Lord
l-muntahā
ٱلْمُنتَهَىٰ
(is) the final goal

And that to your Lord is the finality

Tafsir

وَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ اَضْحَكَ وَاَبْكٰى  ( النجم: ٤٣ )

wa-annahu
وَأَنَّهُۥ
And that He
huwa
هُوَ
[He]
aḍḥaka
أَضْحَكَ
makes (one) laugh
wa-abkā
وَأَبْكَىٰ
and makes (one) weep

And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep

Tafsir

وَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ اَمَاتَ وَاَحْيَاۙ   ( النجم: ٤٤ )

wa-annahu
وَأَنَّهُۥ
And that He
huwa
هُوَ
[He]
amāta
أَمَاتَ
causes death
wa-aḥyā
وَأَحْيَا
and gives life

And that it is He who causes death and gives life

Tafsir

وَاَنَّهٗ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُنْثٰى   ( النجم: ٤٥ )

wa-annahu
وَأَنَّهُۥ
And that He
khalaqa
خَلَقَ
created
l-zawjayni
ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ
the pairs
l-dhakara
ٱلذَّكَرَ
the male
wal-unthā
وَٱلْأُنثَىٰ
and the female

And that He creates the two mates – the male and female –

Tafsir

مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ اِذَا تُمْنٰىۙ   ( النجم: ٤٦ )

min
مِن
From
nuṭ'fatin
نُّطْفَةٍ
a drop
idhā
إِذَا
when
tum'nā
تُمْنَىٰ
it is emitted

From a sperm-drop when it is emitted

Tafsir

وَاَنَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّشْاَةَ الْاُخْرٰىۙ   ( النجم: ٤٧ )

wa-anna
وَأَنَّ
And that
ʿalayhi
عَلَيْهِ
upon Him
l-nashata
ٱلنَّشْأَةَ
(is) bringing forth
l-ukh'rā
ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ
another

And that [incumbent] upon Him is the other [i.e., next] creation.

Tafsir

وَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ اَغْنٰى وَاَقْنٰىۙ   ( النجم: ٤٨ )

wa-annahu
وَأَنَّهُۥ
And that He
huwa
هُوَ
[He]
aghnā
أَغْنَىٰ
enriches
wa-aqnā
وَأَقْنَىٰ
and suffices

And that it is He who enriches and suffices

Tafsir

وَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرٰىۙ  ( النجم: ٤٩ )

wa-annahu
وَأَنَّهُۥ
And that He
huwa
هُوَ
[He]
rabbu
رَبُّ
(is the) Lord
l-shiʿ'rā
ٱلشِّعْرَىٰ
(of) the Sirius

And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius.

Tafsir

وَاَنَّهٗٓ اَهْلَكَ عَادًا ۨالْاُوْلٰىۙ  ( النجم: ٥٠ )

wa-annahu
وَأَنَّهُۥٓ
And that He
ahlaka
أَهْلَكَ
destroyed
ʿādan
عَادًا
Aad
l-ūlā
ٱلْأُولَىٰ
the first

And that He destroyed the first [people of] Aad.
